BEWARE... Don't rely on the reviews…read more This is the first time I am writing a bad review for any store. These are some of the meanest people I have ever dealt with. I purchased Mumbai Pav on April 20th, and the expiry date mentioned was May 16th. The same day I opened it, it was full of fungus from inside and looked hard and expired. I even made a video of it. Today, I went to the store again for groceries, and at the checkout counter I informed them about my previous purchase and showed them the video. They said they wanted the receipt along with the product. How can they expect someone to keep FUNGUS-INFECTED BREAD for almost a month, especially when I live very far from the store? Instead of apologizing, the rude lady at the counter said, "How do we know you purchased it from here?" I told her, "Look at my purchase today. Does it look like I am lying for a $5 bread?" Every month, I spend around $200 on groceries at this store. From now onward, I will never shop here again. That's not my loss, bro. You are selling EXPIRED PRODUCTS. Please train your staff on how to behave with customers, especially that rude lady at the counter. Another incident: one of my friends bought daal from this store that had many insects in it. The packets are usually kept near the entrance. When she informed them about it, they neither exchanged the product nor gave a refund

If you like them get them here raw and roast them yourself! I love Indian food too and cooking it. They do have everything needed! Plus they have Indian street food snacks. It is only open I believe Friday to Sunday. I got the chance to try the pani puri. I saw the cart outside several times. This time it was set up inside. The girl who served them to me was kind and patient. They have to fill each and give it to you on the spot otherwise it gets soggy. It is an explosion of flavors! If you're not familiar with them, it might be different than what you're used to... but that's part of what makes this place so special! I just got back from Vietnam not too long ago and let me tell you this is hands down the best pho in San Antonio! The owner is so so friendly! He took me to the kitchen showing me how he cook the broth. We had a chat about Vietnam and the food and different style of pho between north and south. At the end of my meal he brought out snacks and insisted on me taking a hand full of them! I believe this pho is only offered on weekends and make sure to ask for the mix.
