If I could give negative stars, I would. I've been coming to this establishment for almost 13 years. I don't know if ownership changed somewhere along the way, but the quality has declined drastically over the last 8-9 years. I am a licensed massage therapist with nearly 20 years of experience, so I do know the difference between proper bodywork and poor technique. In the early years, this place was a great find and very convenient to where I live. But over time the staff changed, and with that, so did the quality. After several disappointing sessions, I stopped coming. Every now and then I would give it another chance, hoping to have an experience like before--and every time I left frustrated, with no relief, and upset that I wasted both my time and money. Last night was the confirmation that this establishment has lost my business forever. The therapist who worked on me clearly did not know what she was doing. Her nails were too long, her touch was rough, and she repeatedly left the room during the session for no apparent reason. She only worked one side of my upper body, and when I politely asked her to address the other side she insisted she already had. After voicing my concerns, the massage did not improve--in fact, it felt like she became irritated and intentionally applied pressure in a way that caused pain, not relief. I woke up feeling significantly worse than when I walked in. This was NOT normal post-deep tissue soreness. I am now having to get acupuncture to reduce the neck inflammation she caused by massaging toward the cervical spine rather than away from it, as well as inflammation in my forearms and hands due to improper directional technique. These are basic fundamentals that any trained massage therapist should know. It's possible there are competent therapists here--but after my experiences, along with my husband's and a close friend's negative experiences over the years, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone who actually understands or needs proper massage therapy. I'm not writing this to attack the business--this is constructive. If you want loyal, returning customers, then the therapists must be properly trained and evaluated. Not once in 13 years have I ever been asked about medical history, injuries, or allergies--basic questions expected in any professional massage setting to ensure client safety. I'm officially done with this establishment, and I hope this review encourages improvement for the sake of future clients. read more

I have been going to see Xixi at Asiami Massage for over 15 years. She is excellent at trigger point and deep tissue massages. These are the kind of massages that hurt when you get them but feel better the next day! Xixi does have alot of strength to her hands so if you want a less string massage let her know. Prices have gone up some recently but its worth it. read more

My first massage places nowadays you can just drop in Walken and so this one also though I did call before hand and let them know it's coming. Down the long hallway there's several doors and each one is a private massage room along with a foot massage rooms that are for tandem from site so you don't have a whole crowd of people lined up one next to the other. That already is a plus. The place is clean tidy it smells good you feel very welcome when you walk in and the prices are comparable to those others around. Mindy gave me at my foot massage for an hour and proceeded my back with my feet soaked which is the usual ritual. She then sat me back on the very comfortable chair and I dozed off as she massaged and gave me reflexology on my feet, which was absolutely wonderful. She had a strong grip and that's my preference. She kept asking me " is this okay this is okay" and of course it was okay so that was a little distracting at times. But she was very sweet about it I was just in deep slumber. Ok! Wow! SO GOOD! I've lived in Miami my whole drive, I drive by that place everyday! I've eaten in that shopping center countless times... but today I decided I needed a massage and I was gonna go get one, I was nearby and remembered them. Honestly I went in to look at prices and decide, and they were reasonably priced I couldn't resist. CeeCee was AMAZING! Her hard pressure was HARD! But that good hard. She did one hour full body and it felt like 30 minutes, I didn't want to end the session. She got into all my bothersome spots and stretched me and cracked me like no tomorrow! My neck and my back, one I didn't know can crack like that and two, have NEVER felt better- instantly and still feeling like new hours later. I 100000000 recommend this place and I will be returning. However I will say I don't think this is your typical 2 week soft pressure tickle and put you to sleep massage spot. If you your days are roughhh on you.. Well there are so many great things about this business that i honestly don't know where to start. The providers are super professional, all are very skilled so you are getting a great therapeutic massage no matter who works on you. They will not ask for tips, leave the room during your massage or cut your time. Last but not list, they don't try to sale ridiculous memberships like that massage chain which many refer to as the massage factory, for the worse reasons. Okay, I decided that I'm not done yet. I am no stranger to Asian massages, but I usually have them done in Asia, or cities like Los Angeles or Toronto, where the rate is half or less. However, lately my back feels rather messed up and can't wait for my trip, so I decide to give the local Asian massage parlor a try. I had not clue what to expect at this place, but this place turned out cleaner and more professional than I expected. The rooms are solidly partitioned (not curtains or screens) and overall the place is very quiet. No TV playing, no smell of lunch cooking, no masseuse chatting with each other. As for the massage itself, I'd rate it a B. I definitely feel better after the massage, but not "in heavens". I requested a tui-na but it felt more like a shiatsu. I won't mind going back another time and try my best with a different masseuse. It's 3.5 stars but I put it as 3 because I really don't like the way the masseuse very strongly hint, during the treatment, that I should give at least 20% tips. read more

This is the place to go for those seeking truly intense bodywork out of a massage treatment. I have been coming here consistently for about 5 years now. I am a big fan of intense deep tissue massage and the therapists at Asiami are as strong as they come. I have been to many other places for massage treatments both in and out of Miami and I can testify that finding therapists who can truly do intense bodywork is extremely difficult. Many other spas claim to have therapists who can do deep tissue work but when you get on the table they are like a "feather duster", as one other poster here put it :D. I have worked with a number of therapists here including Mendy, Lucy, Amy, Xixi (pronounced Cici) and some others whose names I can't recall. Xixi is my personal favorite because she's the strongest of them all. Another aspect of this business that I love is that you can make an appointment at any time on the spur of the moment and they can set you up right away (walk ins welcome). The cost is a fair $69 for one hour (a REAL hour, as in 60 minutes, not 50 like some day spas). Pro tip: Ask for a loyalty card for them to sign each visit. This has been my "go to place" since I moved from Broward to Miami 5 years ago. It is my favorite and # 1 best massage place! It is clean, quiet and with great hours. To me, the MOST important thing about this place is that the girls are so respectful that they do not bother you with small conversation. I have to start off by saying the "negatives"- this place doesn't offer water or tea to its customers as some other, more "upscale" massage/spas do. The decor also leaves something to be desired. HOWEVER, This place left me feeling like I hadn't spent the last 10 years of my life working in an ER lifting and pushing and shoving. Except I have. But when I finished my 90 minute session I felt so completely relaxed and tension-free that I might just be ready for another 10 years of physically tolling work. OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit- but honestly, it's been a while since I had a massage that good. The massage therapist was amazing. She massaged pretty much 1999 of my 2000 body parts, including the tip of my nose. I love that I called about 20 minutes ahead of time to schedule my appointment- you can pretty much walk-in at any time. They're open late for those of us who work odd schedules instead of 9-5. I got $10 off for my first visit (89 bucks for a 90 minute massage = score!), and you can get a frequent flyer card, where you get a free massage for every 10. I have been visiting Asiami for a couple of years and I am definitely a fan of Xixi (pronounched Cici) and have been with her over a year now. Although most there are very good and I visit frequently, Xixi is my favorite. She knows the problem areas in my back better than myself and remembers to use more strenghth on my back than on my arms and legs. The pricing seems pretty standard for what I am seeing in the area for "Asian Massages", which are very reasonable. It is not a fancy place, but is very clean, which is important to me. However, I don't need the spa treatment as long as the massage is done properly and is effective, which is what's most important to me. If you have any body issues that may seriously hinder your ability to enjoy a true, full body massage, this place may not be for you. I don't consider this a con because I recognize that these masseusts do look at the body as part of their work and consider they see too many a day to care. They do touch your butt often as a means of of stretching your backand nothing else. I have never felt that anything inappropriate was being done to me or ever felt uncomfortable. Finally, do not be fooled because there are many small, female masseusts. If you'd like a strong massage, you will get one. Although there may be language barriers, they totally understand: strong, medium and soft. I also recommend tipping in cash as I think they don't get their tips immediately if you tip them on a card. read more

I am used to getting my massages at either Day Spas or the spas within a hotel so it took me a loooong time to even consider going to an asian massage. However, I had been dying to get one of those massages where the masseuse is really digs their elbows and knees into you and this is the place! Be careful! This place is not for the faint of heart. You have to know that this will not be a relaxing experience while you are going through it; the ladies basically treat you like dough and beat the junk out of you. It is NOT for those looking for a luxurious day spa experience. I will also echo another reviewer by stating that my masseuse was very, very thorough. There was literally one area of my body that didn't get massaged. My masseuse was professional and not the least inappropriate. But I have had many massages in different settings (fitness gyms, day spas, chain massage companies), but I've never had someone so at ease with all of my body parts.
