She kept asking me " is this okay this is okay" and of course it was okay so that was a little distracting at times. But she was very sweet about it I was just in deep slumber. I have never done this before but I left J&R and went to another place nearby. I have been for plenty of massages here and without a doubt this would be the worst massage or should I say lack of massage I have received. Massages are important to me and I rely on them to keep me balanced with life and to sit there during a massage and realize that it's not going to get better is frustrating. I realized it was all over when I asked the masseuse to go harder and he said he was warming me up but alas this was not the case. Another frustrating thing is you can not make an appointment and if you do call the number someone answers and last time a lady said she would look on the cameras they have in the premises and told me no one was there - I was in my car and less than two minutes away and I rock up and there is someone well and truly into a massage and someone else sitting in the chair waiting. I left. It troubled me for a couple of days as I'm a creature of comfort and once I find a good thing I stick with it as it had ticked all the boxes. I get a massage often so fortunately, I've found a place nearby for massages but as I mentioned it's disappointing as it was my go to place for relaxation and healing.

To clarify the facts: we did call the business. Because the staff member on the phone spoke very limited English and communication was difficult, we were asked to continue the conversation on WhatsApp. We have call records to prove this. At no point--on Groupon, during the call, or in WhatsApp--were we informed that Groupon vouchers are only valid during certain hours. If "coupons can't be used during peak hours," that policy must be clearly disclosed on the Groupon listing. It is not. Expecting customers to guess undisclosed rules is unacceptable. Instead of being helped, we were treated rudely and told our reservation would not be honored, with no alternative offered. We were also surprised to find that only one staff member was present for a couples massage appointment. When we politely asked for an exception or any solution, we were told directly that they "don't care about reviews." Now, rather than addressing these concerns, the business chooses to publicly insult customers by calling them liars. Businesses are allowed to have policies. They are not allowed to hide them, change them after the fact, or treat paying customers with disrespect. Based on both the experience and the owner's response, I strongly do not recommend this place.
