Asked server is item was egg free. She did not understand due to language barriers - no issue there but asked the host who seated us the same question. His response was I don't know . I asked he it was possible to check ingredients....his response "we're too busy". My response now is we are never returning to the place. A simple check of a pastry item for my 7 year old....I couldn't believe the response. See the photo of how "busy" they were. I'm not claiming the place was empty but a 30 second check was doable. Obviously no real people skills or just a lack of caring. Left with a horrible dissatisfied feeling I don't ever think I have left a negative review on a buffet- but this is my first. Never coming back and would never recommend!!

Tried this place out for the first time, I wish I would have read the reviews first. Buffet was partially empty and the grill is closed. People working the buffet were not helpful at all. Food tasted like it had been there all day, maybe two. Selection was very limited. We definitely will never be back and DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all!!

Garbage! My daughter and I went here today for lunch, arriving at 11:10 a.m., hoping since we were arriving at opening, that everything would be fresh. What we found was food that was meant to be served hot (on our plates: potatoes, General Tso's, chicken on a stick, chicken with jalapenos, egg rolls, etc...) all of it was ice cold! Additionally, the General Tso's was hard as a rock and I couldn't even get my fork into it, much less eat it. When I was asked 3 separate times if everything is "Okay", I replied that it was not, and described the issues. Nothing was done about it. We were seated close to the front and watched to see if anyone bothered to check the steam tables for temperature. No. No one offered an apology or explanation. The hostess came by the table, said something (I couldn't understand her, as her English was very broken), and I asked if I could speak with the manager. Between my daughter and I, we figured out that her reply was that the manager was off today. What type of food establishment that is open for business, does not have a manager on duty?! This is exactly the type of scenario when a manager must be there. There was so much wrong about this experience! Don't get me started about health code violations....but suffice to say if an inspector had been there, I am sure he/she would have said something about the cold food and steam tables. Our check for the two of us came to $20.85. When we got to the front desk to pay, the hostess charged us $17.00 for our troubles. I feel like I was ripped off! I still paid but let her know AGAIN, that this dining experience was very unsatisfactory. She smiled, said "thank you" (I guess thanking me for the charitable donation I just made. ha) and made her way out from behind the desk area, to seat more suckers. My advice: do not go here. Do not give them your patronage! Our family had been going here for several years. I don't imagine it was ever the greatest Asian style food ever, but it was better than this garbage. Obviously, we won't be back.

My review is solely off of the incident from my order last night. Asian Buffet can be great if you order to go. Never eat off the buffet itself bc the food is left out for several hours and is never fresh. If you order to go, they will make it fresh for you and there are items that aren't on the buffet that are on their ordering menu. I should've known a long time ago to stop eating here from other incidents but today really did it for me. As I'm sitting at my island counter eating my shrimp Mei Fun, I notice something bright blue in my food. I pull it further out of the noodles and it's a piece of a food service bandaid. How do I know it's a food service band aid? Bc I used to work in the food industry. I immediately throw my plate of food away (along with the band aid... I know, dumb but it was my first reaction bc I was going to be sick). I ran to my fridge and threw everything we ordered away ($40 worth of food). Texted my husband and told him not to eat the Chinese food he packed for lunch. I then called Asian Buffet and he was so unapologetic. He said "sorry" and offered 15% off my next order!!! As if I would ever eat here again, then tried to tell me they don't use blue band aids........ So what band aids do you use then? Bc you're SUPPOSED to be using the blue food service band aids. It was clearly a blue service band aid and he didn't want to admit to anything. The LEAST he could've done was refund me or even comp my next meal (IF I was going to eat there again) but he offers me 15%. FIFTEEN PERCENT off my next order. It's one thing to have the band aid in my food, it's another to not take accountability and basically say I'm lying abt the band aid in my food bc they don't use those band aids. Smh, never eating here again and I don't recommend ANYONE else to either. Def will be giving the health department a call after I post this review to all platforms.

She set the drink on the table before him then kissed the back of his hand. She then proceeded to ask me what I wanted to drink in a thick accent that I'll let your mind recreate. . "Ice water is fine. No lemon." I reply. "Okay, what would you like to eat?" She asked. Thinking she meant us both, I looked at my buddy, "You know what you want?" "Oh, we already know what Mr. J likes." She replies for him. "Spicy...very spicy. Make his ears ring, he tells us!" "Uhhh, okay. I'll have the same thing then. I know how hot he likes it, so I'll just have like a quarter of the spice he gets." "Yessir!" She says while handing me a piece of paper and pen. I look at it quizzically. "Oh, you have to sign this waiver." She states emphatically. As I'm signing on the dotted line, she shouts as loudly as possible; "BRING IN THE SPIIIIIICE!" As soon as she bellows that out, Chili Klaus and two dudes wearing HazMat uniforms come running from the back storage room wearing gloves while cradling a medical cooler that's just pouring out bright light and thick steam from the boiling whatever inside. Seeing my surprised face, she gloats excitedly; "Mr. J likes it very hot. We have to buy ALL NEW woks everytime he comes in! They melt like lava!" "The smell alone while we cook it sends other customers into a coma" she continues as she shoos all the other customers out of the restaurant. What did I get myself into? Surely just a quarter of that spice shouldn't hurt me? As I'm dying from dehydration because all of the sweat and snot have left my soul, the waitress asks; "You like?" "Ohh, of course. I love going at it the Portia route!" I reply. (If you get that reference...you are a giant among insects.) I only halfway finish my meal next to a pile of snotty/sweaty napkins. Wondering when the torture will end. I eventually reached a point where I lamented taking for granted the moments my lips, gums, and teeth felt normal and boring. Never eat just even a lil bit of how hot this place can take it. Your O-ring won't forgive you the next day. Unless you need to bury those feelings under a nice warm Capsaicin blanket.

Their Szechuan dumplings are arguably just as good) maybe even better due to the excess amount of sauce which is a almost ginger rice vinegar base, with added chili oil.) I do not currently know of another place that has Szechuan chili dumplings like this, (would love a shout out if you know of another place to get it!) I was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed each item which we ordered. I have only had takoyaki one other occasion from the Akira food truck. And while that was OK I thought that this tasted a lot better. The cabbage was great with it too. The sauce was also probably better. The Bonito flakes are cool, but they don't have that here. (That is a very small concession though for food, that is overall better.) tofu was browned and seared properly. For added flavor. I have very few chagrins with this place. We will absolutely be back. Me and several friends who are fans of house of taste wish it were in a different location, as being next to Fayetteville high school is both not exactly convenient or that desirable (pretty packed full of young whipper snappers! And the place is a bit small! A real Izakaya deluxe!) if they add a dapper beef Bulgogi or gochujang-kissed Bibimbap to the menu it'll be a done deal and be the ultimate seduction and become our crews new haunt (despite the distance.)

I've had Saiwok bookmarked for awhile as it was recommended by a fellow local friend that frequently dines here. I went with what the staff recommended for me. Customized Bowl - I chose Brisket with vermicelli noodles Imperial rolls (3) Brussel sprouts Lychee sangria Little did I know it was 3 separate dishes I was recommended In California when we order this dish (Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò), it comes with an eggroll on the side that gives you an option of pork or veggie. So when the cashier asked if I wanted to add imperial rolls, I was like sure I'd like pork please, I asked if there was anything else the recommended for me, The cashier made a mention that they had really good Brussels sprouts and so I said let's add that too! I added a Lychee Sangria to top my solo dinner, was handed a cup and told to sit anywhere I'd like and the food would be out shortly. I think I was a little taken back by my $54 solo tab for dinner but was hangry, The food came out shortly and it was 3 separate dishes. :O Imperial rolls were small but crispy and good. Brussels sprouts were indeed good but had alittle too much glaze dressing for me. The bowl came out and it was lacking on the brisket meat. It was filled with tons of vermicelli noodles! It did end up being way too much food for me. I ended up taking some Togo and mixed in the Brussels with the vermicelli salad bowl to take to the hotel for a late night snack. I would come back to try other things and maybe avoid ordering too much and ask if what is being suggested is too much for one person. The vibe inside is pretty chill. Ample parking outside.
