My mom and I were looking for a lunch spot close to the Mayo Clinic. We were happy to find Bebap…read moreKorean which was a 5 min walk from the Mayo Clinic. They open at 11am so we were one of the first people to roll in. Lots more people came in after us. Bebap has a some pretty sweet lunch specials. I got the jaechae with bulgogi which comes with banchan and a soda. Noodles, a drink, and a Korean apps for $15... not too shabby! My mom got the kimchi fried rice with pork belly and an egg over easy. So delicious! The portions were large! We both took home a to go box. Gracie was our waitress. She was so sweet and on top of everything. The restaurant is cute with an edgy vibe! Nice lunch spot.

I've been to Bebap about three times, and the food has been great every visit. Unfortunately, the…read moreservice has been consistently disappointing. Our most recent visit wasn't busy, yet we waited several minutes before anyone came to our table, then had long waits for drinks, food ordering, and refills. We had to flag our server down just to get water and another round of drinks. On a previous visit, our server forgot about us completely after going upstairs, and we had to ask a busser for our bill. The food is excellent, but the service doesn't match the quality. We'd come much more often if the service improved. Management needs to do a better job balancing staff responsibilities so guests aren't overlooked.

Wow! What a find! A thorough menu with lots of vegetarian choices. They also do the logical thing…read moreand charge more for meat and seafood and less for tofu and veggies. I wish other restaurants in the area would follow suit! Serving sizes were huge, so had some take home from each. Ambiance is comfortable and pretty nicely decorated. We liked the high backs of the booths so you have some privacy. Spice level was right on! That may seem like no big deal, but you would be surprised how difficult it is to get a particular local Indian restaurant to add any spice... even when specifically asking for it. But I digress... Best has a great spicing formula. Staff were friendly and efficient. We were the only ones there at first, but when more people started showing up, the attention we got did not change. It was also clear that there were many regulars, which says something about the food. People aren't traveling to Janesville if the food isn't worth it. My only suggestion after one visit is to add a non-dairy Thai Iced Tea option. I've had it with coconut milk and oat milk and both are amazing. That would have been a nice addition to the meal. We have been jonesing for Thai for over a year and are so glad to have found this place!

I was so incredibly impressed with this small town contender in the Thai food sector…read more I have been to Thailand and order Thai food regularly in major cities around the world. This little restaurant is what I would call grade A quality in New York or a large city overseas. It's really that good! We had a good sampling of a Panang chicken curry - bright, warm and bursting with fresh vegetables, Pad Thai - my go to in evaluating a mediocre from a great Thai spot - this one was just gorgeous with a zesty lemon-y creaminess, rich, fulsome noodles and peanuts that tasted like they'd just been crushed in the kitchen. We also tried their pork rolls that were so crunchy, I swore they must have double fried them to get that great crunch - I've found that once in Paris and the fact that Janesville is punching at that level - great job! I also loved the fresh rolls. Shrimp that snap with freshness, with no days old smell, a tightly wrapped serving of all the right ingredients, like a salad in a rice wrapper, along with that lovely peanut-filled sauce - healthy and terrific. As to price, Janesville certainly stomps Paris here - $8 for most appetizers and most entrees are around $14. In Paris, they won't give you a dirty look for $14. This little restaurant is a jewel. They have kind, easy going but very attentive servers. The interior is extremely humble, but man, can they ever cook!! It's such a delight to eat here - I'd go twice a month if I didn't live 1600 miles away. If you are closer, please go give them a try, it's really worth your time.
