As with any really small town, your dining choices are limited. You could be visiting and have a bad experience be your only experience. We come to Waseca a couple times each month to pick up our chicken feed and supplies. We always go to Oscar's every trip. Everything we've tried has been a hit with us, and we're kind of picky eaters. We usually have customization of the meal, they always get it 100 percent perfect. The prices are extremely affordable, and the portions are ample. A lot of the time, we split a meal. One of our favorite things is the bacon chicken alfredo flatbread. More than enough for two. Lastly, the staff. You can tell this is locally owned, a family effort. They go above and beyond to welcome you, go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your meal. Ample parking that can handle larger vehicles towing a boat or camper. read more

A Waseca standard place to dine. Located across from the High School and Hockey arena, this one is easy to find. It's a Fairly traditional American cuisine. Burger's, sandwiches, Flatbread Pizzas, fries and tots. Service was nice, but not all that special. The vibe is of an old Rax (google it if you have never heard of it) restaurant turned into a bar & restaurant. They have a couple tv's in the bar area, otherwise the other part of the restaurant is, well, like a Rax. The drinks were good, and fairly priced, but again, not special. It is fairly quaint that attracts a bit of a blue haired crowd. So, in that regard, it is mostly a normal-ish small restaurant, conveniently located off of MN-13. Went for breakfast this morning. Eggs Benedict were very good, service was excellent. It was our first time eating here. Nice interior and decor. Clean bathrooms. I noticed a separate area that would be nice for a party. Looking forward to trying lunch & dinner there! Close to Mall and Evergreen walk. read more

We stopped in for dinner and got a booth right away. It was pretty busy but also supper time on a Saturday night. Lots of families so it was pretty loud. The onion rings were fabulous! And I shared the shrimp tacos. They were loaded with shrimp and grilled peppers, and we really enjoyed them as well. My brother seemed to enjoy his burger and fries. Portions were generous with being ridiculous. Would come in again next time I'm in town. read more

I found this place by accident and I'm glad I did. I've been back a second time. It's located on Highway 13 on the north side of Waseca and there's a private parking lot. Both visits were for lunch and the large windows really light up the inside. The interior was nice and clean. The waiter was very friendly. There were no real surprises on the menu. Traditional American. A couple different options each of steak, fish, and pasta. Burgers, wraps, and sandwiches. All of the sandwiches are on white bread. I was pleased to see they offer a turkey or roast beef commercial plate. Also on the menu were 5 or 6 flatbread pizzas. I've had the alfredo chicken and bacon option and it was very good. There was enough left to take some home. This is a nice place. You won't regret stopping here for something to eat. read more

Food is the average American variety. Onion rings are nice and crispy, as well as the cheese curds, the chicken avocado wrap is good but could have some more peppers. Burgers are good. We had the grilled green beans and they had a great taste we also had the steamed veggies, not so good, they were under cooked and seemed to come out of a frozen bag variety. read more

Just driving through town and decided to stop at a locally owned place. The restaurant was clean and service was good. We had the cheese curds which were very good and the whole rack of ribs. The ribs were terrible! The texture was weird and the flavor wasn't a good one. They were also cold on one end. read more

I'm giving this business two stars, fully on the fact. That the customer service is above average. Tonight three friends, and myself, decided to eat at Oscar"s. One of my friend, as well as myself, ordered the full rack of rib. Lets just say that, the quantity most certainly, beat the quality. The ribs were, both undercooked, and the sauce. Most certainly, was sub-standard at best. I would not order the rack of ribs again, given the choice, nor would I recommend them at this point. I also had to return my Steamed vegetables, due to the fact they were cold. Oscar' is more than fair priced for their menu. However being the cheapest isn't always the best option. I firmly believe, that you have to have a fair price. To compliment good food, they got one right. Now its time to rev up the kitchen staff. read more

Ordered two dinners for take out. One was pork chop and the other ribs. We thought the food was a mixed review. My husband liked his pork chop but I didn't care for the ribs much as they didn't have much flavor and to me they were slimy and had way too much sauce over them. Maybe because I am used to grilled ribs I just didn't care for them. We both liked the mashed potatoes and the cole slaw with my meal was average. Service was quick and I liked that they have a pick up window too. Worker was wearing mask and had it on properly so happy about that part! read more

Can't speak for dining in, as we always get take out on our way home while traveling through Waseca. Parking is ample and location is convenient, right off one of the main roads. We've tried a lot of the things on the menu and they have pretty much solid food throughout. The flatbreads are fantastic, they are all really good, it's a meal itself. The burgers are tasty, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. I didn't care for either the chicken or beef Philly, did not think it had much flavor and it was just haphazardly thrown together each time it was ordered. The pasta has always been great, cooked Al Dente and the flavors come together very well. Onion rings are very good and their tots are perfect. Not greasy and nicely crisp outside and fluffy inside. But, the sauce they serve it with should be illegal, because it is addicting! All in all, you get a great meal at a fair price and if their service matches their quality food, you really should try these guys out. Oh, and their desert is great too, make sure you try the carrot cake. read more

We stopped at Oscar's on a weekend trip, and enjoyed it. The waitress greeted us right away, and had our drinks fast. It took us a long time to order because their menu is so big. I decided on the Hawaiian sandwich, and my wife had a pasta dish. We also got tempted into ordering soup, and we were not disappointed. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, nice and hot, and both were really good. Our attentive waitress kept our soda refills coming the whole time we were sitting and talking after the meal. Be warned that the portions are generous, and you'll be bringing some home if you don't order to share. read more
