OMGEEEE! Sooo, my children and I visited this little jewel of a place located in Hialeah on Saturday 11/26/16! When we stepped in we were greeted by happy staffers and a young gentlemen came right over and took our drink orders. The location was clean and everyone was friendly. He brought us our drinks - I ordered a water with a lime, my daughters ordered soft drinks. After taking a look at the menu we decided on 3 Egg Rolls, the Mexican Roll (pictured center), Dragon Roll (pictured bottom right), (2) Miami Heat Roll (pictured top & bottom left) and the Volcano Roll (not pictured). I loved the way everything was placed on the plates. The dishes were clean and everything smelled sooooo good! When I tasted the first roll, it was so good, I just knew I had to order the Volcano Roll cause I heard it was good and wanted to try it! Everything was so freaking delicious & FILLING! The food that they have in Asian Gardens in Hialeah Gardens is very delicious and well cooked. The treatment was really good as well, as soon as I walked in through the door the cashier greeted me and asked if she could help me out. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, its quiet, relaxed, and has good decorations. The menu specials are pretty good and the prices are very competitive compared to the other local Chinese food places. The reason I dropped a star from giving it a perfect score was because when I got to the store to place my order in person the menu was slightly different than the menu they had online (on their website) and on the Yelp ad, the difference was that the "Family Dinner for 3 People" on their website was $25.95 but in the menu in the store it was $29.95 and the items that came included in that special were changed as well, on the website it says that it includes 6 pieces of chicken wings (free) which are no longer included and it says that it includes a "Large Pork Fried Rice or Steamed Rice" which I was expecting to be the bucket sized friced rice but it was actually the size of a quart which is usually the medium or small fried rice in other Chinese places. One positive change that they did make to the combo though was that before it said on the website "3 egg roll or 6 Krab Ragoon but my order came with both for free. In the end it was still a good deal, this is what I ended up getting Family Dinner for 3 Menu Special * 3 Egg Rolls * 6 Krab Rangoon * 1 Large Wonton Soup * General Tso's Chicken (1st free entree) * Shrimp w/lobster sauce (2nd free entree) * Roast Pork Fried Rice Menu Special = $29.95 + tax. Pretty good considering all the local competitors have family packs starting at $32 + tax with less stuff and some dont even cook as well as Asian Garden. read more

So disappointed :( We ordered sushi, hibachi and wontons. Everything was incredibly MEDIOCRE . The wontons were impossible to eat, that we ended up sending them back. The hibachi veggies were cooked well but the chicken was questionable.. (was that even chicken!?) The sushi was OK. If I was at an 'all you can eat buffet' I'd be satisfied. The restaurant is tiny, but clean. I came on a Monday night around 8:00 and was able to get seated right away. They serve Chinese food and Sushi. I came for the sushi. Appetizer: I usually don't get appetizers-- EVER. But I read positive reviews on their krab rangoon and miso soup. The krab rangoon was ok... The crust reminded me of empanadas and there was too much cream cheese. The miso soup was actually pretty good. I got a good amount of tofu and seaweed. Entree: I ordered the Blue Lagoon which included sashimi, sushi, and a JB roll. The sashimi slices were nice and thick, but I can't say the same for the sushi. It was a lot thinner, and the rice was so warm that it cooked the bottom of the fish a little bit. The sticky rice also had a weird taste to it (maybe too much vinegar?) was especially mushy. I'm used to getting the JB roll from POC (buffet in Coral Gables) which has avocado, so I was thrown off when this one only had salmon and cream cheese. But I think that's actually the standard? Anyway, it just wasn't what I was expecting... Final verdict: Although the price was fair for the portions you get, the food was meh so I probably won't be returning. read more

LOOOVEEED this place!!! After a long day of work I was craving some noodles, and fried rice. I looked through Yelp and found this spot. I came with a friend and we ordered sushi, lo mein, and fried rice. Everything was so delicious, quick, and affordable! Our waiter was very nice and super accommodating, I wasn't able to get his name. My friend and I shared a portion of lo mein with the house fried rice, and it was enough for us both. We ordered the Miami Heat roll and it was deliciousss! I am giving them 4 stars because the fried rice wasn't the best i've ever had, but it was good. I really liked the egg drop noodle soup, and the shrimp lo mein. The place is very small and there aren't much tables, but I went in and was able to sit right away. There are a lot of takeout Chinese joints in South Florida. A lot of joints that just don't hack it. Some where you are not sure if the meat you are eating is really the meat they are claiming it to be. Asian Garden is NOT one of these places. It is hidden in a shopping center behind a gas station, so I'd say it qualifies for a hidden gem. They have about 5 tables so if you want to dine in you can My girl and I love crab Rangoon. The problem is, that in most places you go to it's basically just cream cheese with a flavor of crab. Here at Asian Garden, you can taste the chunks of crab, in the crab Rangoon. Their special fried rice is well, special. Big chunks of pork & shrimp and all of the veggies. We usually always order the orange chicken, honey garlic chicken and/or Mongolian beef. Their chicken & beef orders will run you about $10 but they bring enough to feed 3 people. And it is real fresh and delicious. I only discovered it a couple months ago and haven't had a chance to check out everything on the menu yet. They have typical Chinese dishes like lo mein but are also have a large list of Japanese dishes like sushi, tempura and hibachi. You would typically pay for a combination platter is almost double what you could pay in any other Chinese restaurant. I came in here about a week ago and when I walked in, the environment felt good at first. I was given time to choose what to order, didn't feel rushed. However, while waiting the 15 minutes for my order to be given to me, I started to feel the environment around me change. Mind you, I'm a female and most of the workers consisted of males. While I was sitting alone waiting, one of the workers who was behind the counter I noticed kept staring at me, another worker purposely started to walk past me and stare at me and then walked back towards me asking if everything was okay. Then, one of the elderly worker started walking next to me and I just felt right there and then I couldn't wait any longer inside for the food to finish. I immediately told the waiter who took my order I would be back, and went next door to the GameStop to find my boyfriend and let him know I was beginning to feel uncomfortable in that environment. He then came inside with me to pick up the food we ordered and left. Btw, we ordered a Miami Heat Roll and Egg Drop soup for his sister who ended up asking us "Where did you guys get this food?" And when we told her and asked why she was asking, she let us know the food made her sick and she was puking. It didn't even taste that good to her and this is someone who loves eating sushi! So I obviously believe her words. I wouldn't come back here personally even though I did not eat the food, only ordered. For me, when I go into a restaurant to eat, my first reaction is that I want to feel comfortable and just be able to relax. Not having to worry that every male worker in the place is going to try and be slick in their ways of getting my attention which does not work because it ends up making me write bad reviews about the place such as this one. Management definitely needs to step up and train these workers the proper way of working and not doing this to other females that enter the place.
