The sushi was all about tempura crunchies and various mayo based sauces. For example spicy tuna obviously has hopefully kewpie mayo in it......but then you add crunchies and straight mayo that is larger than the fish Hot and sour soup great, and I have no issues Chinese food.....don't eat the sushi!!! read more

I ordered a shrimp teriyaki, there was no teriyaki sauce and only four pieces of shrimp in the entire plate! This is the second time i've ordered and got the same result . Really bummed out on this one. They brought out different parts of our entrees 10 total minutes apart. They couldn't time anything right. My food came (partially) way before my husband. She got my order wrong. My husband's sushi was not good (my California roll was disgusting) and she never refilled our drinks even when they were empty and sitting on the edge. Never checked back on us and was impossible to flag down when we were trying to find out where our food was. And there were only 3 other tables. Let me first say that I do not want anyone to misinterpret this rating as a negative impact on this restaurant. I hope to change this review to a three or even four star rating. That said, I need to be very honest with hopes ownership may see and address room for positive change. This place is a primary example of what I call a fuel stop. I found myself dizzy behind the wheel and needed to pull over to get something, ANYTHING to eat and this was the first place I saw and for that I'm grateful. I was seated politely by the nice server but was not brought any water which should be pretty standard upon being seated in any restaurant. There was a delay In ordering which I totally understand but then I started looking around. There is no identity. The place lacks ambiance, sets no mood or tone for the experience and just looks like a jumble of stuff. Seats are worn and torn and the decor is just mismatched. Also, the bathrooms needed a little love. My tea came to the table and I gave it a while to rest. It smelled nice and reinvigorating but I still wanted a glass of water. When the food came I was so happy to eat something cause I felt like I was about to pass out but after a handful of the noodles I started thinking, "Eek, I'd rather be eating a microwave TV dinner." Apologies chef but the food lacked any flavor whatsoever, the portion was enough for three people and the presentation left much to be desired. Now I just wanted a sip of my tea which after 20 minutes still manage to scald my tongue. I politely asked for a Sprite to go to help cool my mouth and settle my stomach. The server was very sweet and I got a unique fortune cookie which left my leaving on a positive note. However, sitting down in a restaurant should be an experience one enjoys from beginning to end and this felt more like I was a car that pulled into a random station to fill up the tank. We really like this place. The restaurant itself is very clean and the staff are friendly. However, we usually order take out (love their online ordering system!). Their prices are great and the portions are HUGE! They have lots of vegan options but some of our favorites are the hibachi vegetables, hibachi tofu, and sesame tofu. We also get an extra side of broccoli because it's so good! The fried rice has egg so we just get it with white rice. Although, we ask for the food to be extra spicy, it is still very mild. No biggie as we just add some extra chili flakes when we get home. Have we had better Chinese food? Definitely! Is it authentic Chinese food? Definitely not! We just moved here from Sevierville and I have been searching for somewhere to get good hunan beef. But this wasn't the place! It tasted like something was rotten in it! I couldn't eat any of it! I also ordered my son chicken and it was ok at best and he wouldn't eat it. I will say the egg rolls tasted great but the spicy mustard I dip mine in tasted rotten as well!
