I was a little skeptical going inside because it was empty and small however everyone was very friendly. The pork fried rice was very good and actually not overpowered with a bunch of soy sauce which was nice. I kept finding myself wanting more. The crab Rangoon weren't anything to write home about but they were decent. The hot and sour soup was spicy and delicious. Just the right amount of heat. The broth was thick and flavorful. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Invited my mother over for dinner, ordered her moo goo gai pan, asked f for no mushroom due to allergy, it was loaded with mushrooms, had to pick through. Steamed dumplings were okay, I ordered garlic chicken at its spiciest, no heat in it at all. We ordered fried rice, got white, ordered a 2L of soda, got 2 cans of the wrong flavor, we ordered diet Pepsi and we got orange. We asked for extra duck sauce, got two packets and a fist full of soy, asked for chopsticks and got an obscene amount of napkins and a broken plastic fork. I called to complain and got nothing but attitude from the guy on the phone. Normally I'll try a place twice, just in case there was an off day, but not here. Never again... not wasting my money on mediocre food (at best) and crappy service. Stay away from here. read more

I can't really give a downtown Chinese restaurant a higher rating than three stars but this place is pretty good. Five stars is reserved for Morimoto, Budahkan, and high and establishments etc. The staff is actually very friendly and all of the dishes are served with fresh vegetables and quality meats. If you're looking for a cheap Chinese restaurant downtown this is the only one to go to. All of the other ones in the area are straight trash. This place has the best Chinese food in all of Wilkes-Barre. In the 3+ years I've been eating here there was never a bad meal. Though most Chinese restaurants are pretty uniform in regards to their menu Asian Kitchen's pizza rolls are unique and delicious! They also have really fast delivery to places all over Wilkes-Barre if you just want to eat at home or at the office. The people who work at the restaurant don't speak much English but are all very nice. You can't really beat Chinese food that's this great and inexpensive. read more

( MUST READ ) This is a family business. Mom, dad, who i believe is the cook, grandma and small children. I had frequented this restaurant until recently. I walked in and ordered a takeout . While waiting I decided to use the men's room. As I was opening the men'sroom door, the restaurant chef was comming out the door. I went in to find that the toilet was unflushed. Discusting. I decided to just wash my hands and leave. I noticed that the sink was completely dry. The faucet was completely dry, not used anytime recently. This means one thing. The cook had exited the men'sroom, left a mess in there and he absolutely did not wash his hands. I walked out and informed the woman at the counter of the unhealthy discusting facts. She said oh I clean now. I told her to cancel my general tos that the cook was making and I left, somewhat tramatised. never to return. This is very troubling. read more

The food is always hot, the portions are great, and the prices are quite reasonable. Outstanding value for price. It's primarily a carryout but has several tables for dining in. Bathrooms were very clean (a standout for a carryout in my experience). Decor is nondescript. Food was generally excellent. We ordered Happy Family, House Mei Fun, and Shrimp and Cashews. Mei Fun was just OK but the other two dishes were great. Big portions so easily fed family. They didn't skimp on the shrimp. Vegetables were properly cooked (i.e., a little crunchy but not too much). Shrimp and cashews had lots (and lots) of celery which was OK for us but if you are not a celery fan I'd skip that dish. All in all a very good experience. We'd go back for sure. I had ordered the pad Thai with chicken that had almost no chicken, no real flavor to it, and was not something I would expect from what other reviewers had noted.
