the food was disgusting i got vegetable low mein and two pork egg rolls, the low mein was dry and the noodles were clumped up and the egg-rolls were extremely greasy, not only was the food gross but it gave me food poisoning, the night after i ate it i woke up at 6am puking and puking until 10am after i threw it all up i was completely fine. I had my sister over and niece and they wanted Chinese food so we went to China Pearl. As soon as we walk in my niece says, "This place is beautiful; I want to eat here the next time we come." She's eight. And I know they do not have indoor dining, but the place is beautiful and the service from order to production is seamless and time efficient. The staff are friendly, and the food is delicious. I ordered Mongolian beef. This is real Mongolian beef, not whitewashed. OMG! Perfection. I see another review asked for extra spicy. She's brave. The dishes do not skimp on the meat like Manhattan does. I work in Manhattan and nothing compares to this place. The friendly staff asked me to come again. I definitely am. And my father is excited too because I can bring him home Mongolian beef. Also try beef lo mien. The wonton soup is great. This place confused me. It wasn't quite a traditional Chinese restaurant and it wasn't quite an Americanized Chinese restaurant. It did seem to dabble in both categories which I felt was promising because I actually wanted to get my sesame chicken on. We ordered the four seasons, pu pu platter, hot and sour soup and the sesame chicken. Pros: The soup was good. Although this restaurant uses chili oil versus another kind of hot sauce to make the soup spicy, it tasted pretty good and was my favorite. I also really liked the meat from this place. Usually Chinese American places are notorious for having thinly sliced, dried meat, everything that had meat in this place (except the sesame chicken) was juicy and tender. Cons: The pu pu platter (bf ordered this sadly) was surprisingly somewhat good in taste. While I don't like eating a giant platter of fried foods, the flavors in some of the items, namely the beef stick, was decent. However, I hated how they packed it in a weak bag. Even though it was not even 5 minutes before we started eating it, everything was soggy. So soggy, greasy food was not good. Also, the sesame chicken had the same issue. Upon first glance, it seems like a small Chinese restaurant in your typical suburbia. Being from New York where there are an abundance of Chinese places, we came in with pretty high standards. The rest of my group of 5 really enjoyed their meals. They each got a soup (egg drop, hot and sour, chicken) and really enjoyed them. I liked that when you first sit down, they give you an appetizer (crispy fried won tons). They're similar to an upgraded version of the crispy noodles they give in the bags at usual Chinese places. They were a bit too oily for me but with the dip and my hungry appetite, it was pretty good. For entrees, we got the dishes as seen in the pictures below. I actually really enjoyed my lo mein but will say it is incredibly greasy. Everyone in my party really enjoyed their entrees. Two things I will critique is that the sesame chicken came with no sesame seeds, and the pork fried rice was really dry. For the price, it was worth it. We probably each paid about $11 before tax for an entree and soup. There aren't many Asian places to eat around here so this one definitely satisfied our cravings for Asian food. I'm very disappointed in the takeout I have received this past Friday. The cheese wonton were over cooked and very dark in color. I wound up throwing them out. This happened the week prior also. The sweet and sour chicken that I ordered also had several pieces that did not taste like chicken... and were hard to chew with no taste of chicken....I don't know what it was but it was inedible. So I'm new to the area and am particular when it comes to Chinese food. And this place killed it. Hands down some of the best Chinese food I have had in two years. The lo mein- it's not oily. It tastes great and you can taste the char from the wok in the noodles. I also had the beef with broccoli which was excellent. The ribs have been very good as well. We were staying in the area for a weekend getaway & we stumbled upon this little gem. Truthfully, our expectations were not the greatest, but we were proven very wrong. This place is a small restaurant but with some truly delicious food. We were seated quickly since there were not many people, and immediately they brought us something to munch on. DELICIOUS! The food that we ordered came out very quickly & was very good. Can't complain about anything. Our waitress was also so nice & friendly. Would definitely come back if we are in the area again. I have frequented this restaurant often over the past 20 years. This past weekend my sisters and I decided to order from China Pearl on Uber eats. went to Uber eats website ordered from China pearl on there, they delivered it to us and then I realized that the bill was a bit high. So I had ordered from them a few days ago and had a menu in front of me. I compared the prices on Uber eats to the prices on the menu. There was quite a difference. I calculated a $12.50 difference. So I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager. He began to tell me how Uber eats charges a percentage for everything ordered from there. And that the extra money goes in their pocket. Well I did more research. Uber eats does not charge anything on menu items. I found out that the merchant is charged a percentage for everything that is ordered from them as a charge for their items to be delivered. So the owner flat out lied to me and he had called me back after I talked to him the first time when he told me that Uber eats is the one who gets this money. I then told him that I knew Uber eats did not charge anything for his menu items. The charge that Uber eats charges him he then passes on to the customer. So the customer is paying for it. So unfair. He's paying a fee for having his food delivered to his customers and he's having his customers pay for it. i've been in the food business over 20 years and would be appalled if any of the restaurants I worked for would do this. He told me that all the merchants do this. So I did some more homework and went back on Uber eats and I compared the prices of other restaurants in the area to Uber eats menu and none of them do it. He should be ashamed of himself. I will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

Hubby and I were in the Poconos to celebrate a birthday with friends who live nearby and found ourselves craving some Chinese food. We initially stopped by on Saturday evening but they had closed early because of Covid-19 (really wish they had a Facebook page that they could update with changes). I read the reviews that the portions were large so hubby and I shared the Shrimp in Garlic Sauce Combination plate and a small Shrimp Fried Rice and even with sharing we still had plenty left over. Both were really tasty and I loved the large shrimp in the sauce, much bigger than those I get from my local Chinese restaurant, I would definitely come back when in the area. read more
