Terrible food. We had heard good things about this place and thought it would be a winner. Even the older gentleman in front of me picking up his order turned around to tell me he loved the place, saying it was best Chinese food in the area. Well, if this is the best Chinese food in Huber Heights people in Huber don't know what they're missing. I ordered General Tso's chicken, fried rice and crab Rangoon, and my girlfriend ordered Chicken with Broccoli. The crab rangoons were chewy and hard to bite into, like they had been microwaved for too long or something. Not crispy or fresh at all. The General Tso's chicken was disgusting, just perfectly round balls of super fake and over-processed chicken that was super rough and chewy, and tasted gross, like chemicals. The fried rice almost made me gag; it tasted like it was cooked in months-old grease, leaving a nasty spoiled aftertaste. My body felt like I ate something bad for a full 24 hours after eating. Not quite like I had been poisoned, but close to it. Please, for your health, do NOT eat at this place. If you think this is good Chinese good, try China Cottage instead and report back to me. read more

The chicken was perfectly done, Juicy and good flavor inside and a little crispy on the outside as it should be although it could have been done for a tad longer but I'm picky w/ my Tso's... Ordered for pickup. The first thing I noticed when opening my combo was the broccoli was cleaned up to only have the bulb and the stem had been cut away. My Hunan beef had great flavor and tender cuts of beef. The fried rice had very good flavor as well. I wasn't expecting that due to no egg and the color was light meaning it hadn't been fried too long. I asked for this dish to be extra spicy and it WAS with both whole and minced red peppers. A nice variety of vegetables in this dish but not short on beef either. I always order two dishes My second dish was king pao chicken which came in breaded. Yuk. Good Chinese food. The fried wonton appetizer was delicious. I like that you can get lo mien noodles with entrees for a small up charge. The building is small and only really does takeout but they have a drive thru window which is great. The staff are nice and fast. read more

The food is always hot and I sure do appreciate the little drive through window that they have, the staff is so sweet and nice. Asian Star is a great little mom and pop Chinese restaurant! It's not fancy but the food is fantastic. We ordered the Sweet and Sour chicken and Mongolian beef. Everything was very fresh. I would have liked some veggies or pineapple in the sweet and sour as it was just sauce but still was very good. The Mongolian beef had good heat to it but not overpowering. Nice folks...I love he drive through pick up as I had my young granddaughter with me who wanted to "take something home to eat" after her ballet class. She loved the kids sweet and sour chicken too. I used to only order from Royal Wok, I gave Asian Star a try and I wasn't disappointed at all. The portions were fair and the quality and taste were excellent. This is the second Chinese spot Ive tried in Huber Heights and Im completely not impressed. Maybe Ive been spoiled with St Louis Chinese food for too long but I also love food, have lived many other places aside from St Louis, and I can tell you that this isnt it! Lets start with my order, vegetable egg foo yung, shrimp fried rice with no peas and carrots but add onions and bean sprouts, and chicken lo mein. I get the bag home and I have CHICKEN fried rice, chicken lo mein and vegetable egg foo yung. BTW, they forgot to put my gravy in the bag so now Im stuck with 3 dry inedible egg, pea, and carrot patties. I already knew that the fried rice was going to be a total let down, not to mention they didnt put extra onions in like I asked, but had faith at least in the lo mein. Nope! This was the blandest Chinese food Ive ever tasted. This place had 5 stars on Yelp and 4.6 on Google. If this is five star Chinese Im swearing off Chinese for the rest of my time here and binge on it whenever I visit St Louis. 17 dollars down the trapper :-( read more

Very good food, you know that they're freshly cooked, we love how this is a go-to food place when we're too tired or lazy to cook. Had sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was cooked just right. The amount of food is generous. Also the convince of the drive up window is nice. The egg rolls are flavorful and crisp. I would recommend this establishment to my friends and would do return patronage. read more
