I dont know how old the other reviews are but on 7/25/2021 Happy Great Wok were on point even though I got 6 spring rolls instead of 3 eggrolls . I've never been a fan of spring rolls from your average Chinese food spot. But I will say that General Tso's was Classic . Shrimp Lo Mein had good flavor with decent quality noodles and the baby shrimp was rinsed well for mild flavor . Veg. Fried rice was average , crab rangoon were better than average w/ a nice crispy wonton wrapper that is similar to an eggroll wrap. I would have like to review the boneless spare ribs but we didnt get them this time . I'm not sure what people are expecting to get from a restaurant that trying to serve decent food at affordable prices . Also , I have decades of trying Chinese/American food from all of southwestern Ohio and Great Happy Wok deserve more credit and too perfectly honest I will probably order here again on a Sunday because my usual spot is closed on this day . Even my go-to spot isn't always as good as other days but keep in mind that humans are imperfect and capable of great things. Thank you Great Happy Wok for trying to do your best in serving your Community. https://www.mercari.com/u/869609901 New items being added daily . Soon to be on Etsy too.

Wow. This place looks neat and fashionable as a chinese food restaurant. Food is on par with other restaurants, though more cleaner.

Great little Chinese restaurant! You walk in expecting fast food but get surprised by the restuarant quality of flavor!

Better than ramen I've had in San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago or Dallas. The chili oil or sashuan oil is not as hot as I thought. Easy to eat, even if you can't tolerate much spice. I wasn't as surprised this time by the location in a neighborhood, something that gives it a very welcome feel and suggests with the addition of a covered outdoor porch with picnic tables that this is a good neighborhood hang. I was late for lunch, almost two but there were some folks still finishing up. Good vibe, good music and casual atmosphere. I opted for the Takoyaki app which was tasty and not so burning hot that it scorched the roof of your mouth. Also the right amount of mayonnaise as opposed to often an excess. The Ramen Flight was fun in principle but I wouldn't do it again. I unwisely and perhaps naively assumed there would be mini versions of the full serving of Tonkotsu broth with Mayo, Thai curry and Szechuan with scallions. But it really is just the broth and ramen. Expected the Szechuan to have some heat and peppery lip buzz but did not. The Thai curry was super salty. Just missed some option of veggies and protein. Finally I would suggest not sitting near the front near the stairs to the kitchen. The spot has competing music soundtracks with two different play lists battling between your two ears.

The Jam Pong -- a Korean seafood soup -- had fresh calamari, clams, scallops, and mussels in a deeply flavorful broth with just the right amount of spice. The vegetables tasted fresh and vibrant, and the seafood portioning was balanced perfectly. The wontons were equally impressive, with what tasted like freshly made dough wrapped around pork filling and finished with a rich, flavorful sauce reduced just enough. Service was excellent. It's a family-run fast casual spot between MVH and UD -- you order at the counter and they bring the food out. The place was spotless, prices were very reasonable, and there was a steady stream of pickup orders all evening. No alcohol, just really outstanding food. Can't recommend it enough -- we'll definitely be back.

If you are not expecting it, it can be a shock for sure. He would frequently check in on us and make small talk, give us recommendations on the menu, how to order, even so far as to grab our stone bowls after they were served to stir them. For me, it was overbearing and I was not a fan of someone touching utensils after we were served without asking but I ended up still giving 5 stars because he meant well. Right after he continued bringing dumplings and serving them to us just to be nice! No additional charge, and he would've continued making them unless we refused after bringing 2 whole orders. When he learned it was our friends birthday he brought out moonpies and a bag of some korean snack just for her, even though they dont have dessert on the menu. Even as you walk in, you'll notice from the decore that is very much a small business. You have a button to press to notify the owner you're there, get drinks, and a QR code to order. That being said the service is very timely, high quality fresh food comes out super hot, and he was very nice. Be aware of the social experience because that is a big part of the restaurant. Can be a positive or negative depending on your what you like.
