We came here during a trip to Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns. I was craving Asian food and was excited to see that Luray had a restaurant that served a variety of Asian cuisine. They have Japanese, Thai and Chinese cuisine. My husband got the chicken Yakisoba and I got the Japanese curry chicken katsu. Both were amazing!! The chicken katsu was 10/10 and the Japanese curry was definitely authentic. Service was quick since we were there five minutes before they officially opened. The ladies there were very nice and food came out quickly. They have indoor seating but a much more spacious outdoor area. Their outdoor space is adorable with multiple different seating areas.

Ordered takeout while visiting the area foe a few days. Food was very fresh and portions were large for the pricing. Menu has a diverse mix of asian cuisines, we got the drunken noodles and the orange chicken. Highly recommend!

Overall a great Asian restaurant. The staff were extremely kind. The vibe of the outdoor seating area was great. A lot of different seating options and dogs are welcome. The food was pretty good overall. I liked the orange chicken a lot. The fried rice was pretty good. My friend loved the sushi. The spring rolls were the only item I really didn't like. They looked delicious but I just couldn't finish it. I usually love spring rolls, but these ones weren't my taste.

Great location and views from outdoor seating areas! I love that the menu shows the different countries that entrees are from.

The food is just amazingly terrible!!! The fried rice was be worst I ever tried! Fried things is soaked with oil! The noodles is just ramen which is ready in few mins after you add boiled water... The sushi is also something else((( So dissatisfied! Wasting money! The price is too high for this quality!

    Nice seating options

I was so excited to see more diverse cuisines pop up in a Luray, Va. the locals are too! This location has very particular hours. Please make sure you check on FB ahead of time to make sure you don't show up in vain. Let's start with the pros: -self serve sauce station (very important) -plenty outdoor seating options -little marketplace to buy some traditional Thai snacks -sushi was handmade to order Cons: -rotating menu and limited menu otherwise -meals took a while to be prepared -short staffed -small indoor establishment -costly for the area When we went the special was a curry rice noodle option. They had salmon, chicken, veggie. I tried the salmon. The salmon was very fishy. The meal was packed with flavor but it was a little underwhelming somehow. The appetizers were very good. The boba was also very well done. The sushi was the highlight. Maybe this is best for a small lunch versus a big meal. Not a miss for Luray, but I anticipate some tweaks needing to happen to keep locals spending money here.

    Beers on-tap. Really solid lineup!

The Birth of a Station After arriving in Luray and checking into our AirBnB, we asked the most important question of the day: "What's for supper?" After a cursory Yelp search, we saw nothing in the Luray dining scene except for "Bar & Grills" with nothing inspiring on the menu beyond the usual Sysco® specials--if you catch my meaning. However, on the way to the AirBnB, we did see one restaurant that caught our eye: Asian Station. There were no reviews on Yelp, but some positive ones on the Googles, but it didn't exactly leave us drooling in anticipation. Once we found out the owners are actual Asians (Thai, to be exact), we decided wtf let's take one for the team and check it out. I mean, someone's got to, right? The Good: *Housed in a former bakery, the location really catches one's eye and has a really cute, modern décor that stands out from the typical Main St. brick-and-mortar buildings. *Dog-friendly outdoor seating *Great selection of beers on-tap, including Asian brews and local brewery stuff, as well. *Prices aren't bad, and you get a decent amount of food with it. *Vegetarian options (basically tofu) *Wasabi Dumplings might've been the surprise of the night, as they had a nice Wasabi aftertaste, but it didn't overpower the pork. Even Carissa enjoyed them, and she's not much of a wasabi fan. *They have rotating daily specials, so every day you go is a surprise! *On our day, they had "Korean BBQ" Orange or General Tso's sauce to go with one's protein of choice: tofu, chicken, shrimp, or salmon. I have to say I was very impressed as the orange sauce wasn't too sweet, and they packed a decent amount of heat in with it. Fwiw the "Korean" portion was they add housemade Kimchi to the mix and it worked! *They serve up house miso soup, and it was actually pretty good. Better than some legit Japanese sushi houses. The Meh: *Ordered a few sushi rolls, and they were not bad. Maybe one or two steps above grocery store sushi, which is pretty decent. The Ugly: *Parking situation is sorta strange, as there's a gravel lot behind them, but it's pretty small and fills up fast. I saw several folks park on the street, but it seems too narrow for that. We ended up parking in the lot behind the fire station, and that seems like the best option. TLDR: Maybe it's the low expectations or just the vacation high, but the food overall was really good, and I'd give them a solid 4.5* overall with an FTR round-up to 5*.

    Drunken noodles with shrimp

I love this place and you can't beat the view. Best Asian cuisine I've had in a LONG time. I got the drunken noodles with shrimp and the Kao Gai Tod. Chef's kiss.

I was in town for a hike and decided to stop here the night before. It was overall a solid experience. The food was okay, I had the drunken noodles. They were pretty spicy but also flavorful. The noodles were a little thinner than others that I've had and it was loaded with vegetables. We also ordered spring rolls which I liked the most out of all the food. We had to wait about 45 mins for our food, but they did let us know beforehand. There were some games to play while we were waiting which was nice. Overall, I would say this place was pretty good but nothing special. Would go here again if I was in the area and wanted asian food.

It's my first time there and I missed the large option which is my mistake. Got like a small 12-16 oz cup. I'm not trying to make a service worker feel bad but it's on management to not be so stingy on just helping a customer. For $8-9 it did not feel worth the money and genuinely the customer service with some of these Asian boba shops are atrocious compared to the ones in Richmond like even Tsaocaa or Zen Cafe or in Nova like Teas N You I've been to owned by competent owners and workers that aren't incompetent. We arrived and the valet so kindly opened my door and guided us inside for our reservation. The inn was festively decorated and exuberanted a warmth that was just so welcoming. The staff at the desk was mere incredibly kind. We were taken to our seats and Alejandro our waiter was fabulous the whole night. In fact I can't say enough great things about their staff overall. Catalina definitely made our evening enjoyable while introducing our food and taking our plates. Again everyone did such a fabulous job taking care of us. The FOOD was AMAZING! We ordered the traditional 5 course and each dish was just another challenge to the palate. The balance of flavors and tones. The creative plating. The play on traditional flavors with modern twist. I didn't want the surprise of each dish to stop. We were lucky and during our meal had Chef Patrick O'Connell check on us. We finished the night with a special tour of the kitchen. The highlight-- learning that they have a water sommelier! We didn't order anything but hearing him speak of the different kinds of water We will definitely be back to celebrate large and special milestones. Absolutely worth trying once in a lifetime.

Others see it as part of a wider "reset" affecting other longtime three-star spots like Alinea (Chicago) and Masa (New York), which also dropped to two stars at the same time. I'm not completely sure why the slight decline but here's my honest view. The scenic drive from DC through the Virginia countryside sounds breathtaking--rolling hills, charming small towns, glimpses of Blue Ridge Mountains but in actuality all of the turns and hills made myself and friend sick. We had to pull over and gather ourselves. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, filled with artwork, pink, green and gold monkey wallpaper and Victorian tables, and English country style. It's maximalist--opulent without being stuffy. Our waitstaff made the evening extra special for my birthday. They constantly wished me a happy birthday, asked thoughtful questions about my life, shared jokes, and engaged in small talk that felt genuine and personal. Not to mention the menu with my name. Each course on the 7-course tasting menu was beautifully presented. We loved having three menu options to choose from: a new seasonal tasting (always fresh and surprising), Enduring Classics (with signature dishes like the iconic lobster preparations or herb-crusted favorites), and a full vegetarian Good Earth menu with the eggplant course being our favorite. The unlimited warm bread service with fresh butter and flaky sea salt was a simple but perfect touch. The Champagne options were endless (their wine list is legendary, with a massive cellar and expert sommeliers), and they even offered a dedicated book/menu highlighting rare waters from around the world--everything from iceberg sources to unique mineral springs. I've never seen a water book before. Standouts for me was the caviar egg, lamb main course and tomato amuse-bouche. If you're looking for a special occasion spot (birthday, anniversary, or just because), this is it. Four people will run you around $2500 including drinks. Con- I would work on the cocktail menu (the Diana tasted like cough medicine). Bring back the pear dessert and portion sizes from 12 years ago. My main lamb portion was embarrassing. Reviewers see pictures for example sizes. Please offer a dedicated pescatarian menu. Overall, Chef Patrick O'Connell and his team did a great job.

I guess I should've known better, but the make your own drink was mediocre because the guava option was based off a not-so-yummy juice. So next I ordered a drink off their menu and it was just alright. Honestly, I'd just skip out on drinks next time, but it was New Year's Eve so.. I did try to ask our server for drink reccs but she was 20.. So, we really enjoyed our ramens. Even the veggie ramen that I ordered, with a clear broth, was quite tasty - I've had clear broth options that were less flavorful. We also ordered a few additional appetizers. We shared some bao buns which were excellent, my partner ordered some meat skewers and I ordered a salmon nori taco. All in all, a great little shop. I needed some sushi to feel full, and fortunately, their inari with a seaweed salad filling were delicious, arguably more so than the ramen. A tea from their boba menu delivered some nice chia seeds and strong flavor, albeit with an aftertaste.
