This is the Asian market that I normally "shop" at due to convenience and location being on the east side of Greenville and close enough to where I do other errands. It's up in a small strip mall further north on Haywood Road from Haywood Mall or across the strip from off Orchard Park Road from where Outback Restaurant is. It's not large but has all the dry staples, so many choices of rice (white, brown, sushi, sweet, etc), noodles, etc. It also has the frozen section that extends one entire wall and one of those freezer chest for the dumplings, pre-made food. The other side has the fresh vegetables and also packaged tofu, mushrooms, noodles, quail eggs, etc. I haven't gotten anything from their seafood area which one staff is there for the fish and stuff. I will go periodically to get rice noodles and glutinous rice flour. With Honey's food allergies (gluten and dairy) fortunately asian food have plenty of options but you still have to know which things do use wheat like most of the frozen dim sum yummies that I'll get for me and other family member still at home who clearly like those buns as much as me. So check the ingredients. Because it is Chinese/Lunar New Year, I will be making some CNY Sticky Rice Cake. Honey uses the same glutinous rice flour in a treat he makes for cycling fuel so figured I'd pick up a bunch. It makes me chuckle when I do, because at least movies I've seen, those packages looks like a drug issue . . But we do need to watch sugar consumption. Fun part is coming up with different dish for the Chinese New Year celebration which lasts for a couple weeks and eating . Photos showed two of our dinners and opting to reduce carbs. CNY Eve we had noodles (not pictured) that included veggies, chicken and long rice noodles representing longevity, NY night for rice cake noodles with beef, then fish ball and cake soup since was chilly. And pot stickers, baked beef bun (they sell lots of other choice), and will do the egg tart tomorrow. This isn't the nicest one I've been to, but maybe because I haven't been out as much during pandemic seems to be not as cluttered, more spacious. Masks are required and staff are wearing masks and gloves. There was hand sanitizer at the checkout line. read more

This is my go to Asian Supermarket since the Oriental Imports shut down. Here they do have a wide variety of frozen items from ingredients to entree's and I always try something new. My staples here are fresh baby bok choy, lemongrass, soy sauces (of which they have several dozen varieties), straw mushrooms, ramen (several varieties as well), various sauces, etc. There are also some items such as teapots and cooking utensils, etc. This trip we wanted to get some canned quail eggs to make pickled spicy quail eggs. They had run out of these, but wait!, they had fresh quail eggs and we used them! The only thing that they don't have here is any live or fresh fish. Another market in town has a fishmonger in the market with both fresh and live fish, but they also have a restaurant. This is conveniently located and I would not hesitate to recommend them for their variety and interesting ingredients. read more

Prices are higher than the supermarket but they have so much! Food, drinks, frozen items, plus china teapots, rice bowls, and more. The store was very busy but they were super helpful and we found what we needed. Definitely coming back! read more

Whenever I am on Haywod road, I almost always stop by this asian market. They are really the only place I can find the bottled jasmine tea that I love so much. I am not sure what the brand is , as there is not a lick of english anywhere eon the bottle, but it is so good. And I can only find it here. I also love their selection of asian candy and Japanese Kit Kats. They usually have a pretty good selection of that here. Not to mention , an extensive selection of ramen, asian condiments, ice cream, frozen dim sum and sometimes, fresh produce. The store can be a little cluttered at times , but its always clean. I have never had a issue with the staff either, and they wear masks! This was pretty much the first asian market I shopped at in Greenville. I really enjoy my visits here. I'm only giving them a 4/5 because I do prefer Asia Pacific a little more. But both are great. P.S. Ding Tea is in the same shopping center and you must check them out! If it's something Asian you're looking for, I'm pretty sure you will find it here. Aisles of sauces, freezer's full of Asian delights. Whether you're looking for shu Mai, or gyoza, buns filled with pork or veggies, this Asian market has it all. The bonus is the restaurant on the other 1/3 of the facility. I haven't seen such a selection or tasted the quality of New York's Chinatown since we left. Don't miss the soup dumplings or the clams with black bean sauce. The duck is fantastic also. Pretty alright place, large selection of dry goods for sure. Most of the meat is frozen, so don't hold high hopes for that portion. On the other hand, they have some fresh produce. The people are nice, thought the lady I dealt with spoke little English. Overall, fairly decent; great for stocking up on pantry items. read more

I really love this store. The products are great and the prices are reasonable. I can find things here I can't find in other stores in the area which is really helpful. I'm used to Southern California where you can find a lot of this stuff but out here it's weirdly difficult so I really appreciate this store. This place is clean, not smelly like a wet market could get and shelves aren't dusty. They stock more of East Asian ingredients (Korean/Chinese/some Japanese). There were also some Thai, Vietnamese products. I was amazed with their selection of preserved and fermented foods. If you're expecting a super-friendly chirpy Southern "Hi, welcome! How are you, sir?".. I'd like to remind you that it's not that the owners/workers/cashier lacked manners. Sometimes ppl keep to themselves. Brand spankin' new Asian market in Greenville. Located on Haywood Rd. in the same plaza as Stax Peppermill (and for you 20-somethings, the same plaza as Plato's Closet). I love me a good Asian market...but I think I need to reserve judgment on this place until they're fully established (they still seem to be getting themselves pulled together). They have a good selection of Asian greens, but they're currently laid out on long tables rather than in a refrigerator case...so they seemed a bit wilted. On the same table they had "fresh" (read "thawed") durian...why would ANYONE let durian thaw? Just sayin'... I'm assuming the veggies will eventually make it into a refrigerator case...and they have the starts of a fresh fish section, so keep your fingers crossed. I actually was more impressed by their frozen case than the frozen case in Saigon Market...a lot of variety. Their general Asian grocery variety is not as large as Saigon market...don't go there expecting a lot of non-Chinese stuff (I didn't see any Malaysian, Korean or Japanese ingredients)...but the basic Chinese ingredients are solid. I'll definitely go back to monitor their progress...hoping for the best! read more

This is the most incredible asian food store I've ever had the pleasure of going to. They have an amazing selection with everything you could want or need and customer service to match! They use boxes instead of bags which is environmentally conscious and they were nice enough to help us unload our groceries into the car and arrange them in the cooler we had. This is the biggest Chinese grocery you will find in Greenville. Though it may not stack up to the big Asian grocery stores you'll find in big cities, this store certainly suffices when preparing and making various Chinese dishes. Not the biggest selection but not bad for Greenville area. Was able to get dried mangos, some frozen pork buns, Filipino sauces, Mung beans. No Pan de sal and Ice cream was $$$$. No San Miguel beer but good Japanese beer selection. Huge frozen and snack section. Looks like they do fish in back but nothing when I was there (early Wednesday morning). read more

Not sure why it is called Asian supermarket when they only carry half of the Asian product. I seen better. Customer service is horrible. They do not understand English well, and have a hard time looking for something. Found some items that are long over the expiration date. Try to tell them, and they would say " No No, it still good" Fresh vegatable are not fresh. They are stale and half way rotten. Never shop here agian for Asian Groceries. read more

I would like to clarify something for anyone that has read the review of this market that was written by Barbara W. It is totally obvious that she has never been to the big Asian markets in Atlanta, G.A and the ones in Chinatown in New York City. They ALL have the Asian vegetables out on the tables in bags. The reason they do that is because the Asian vegetables, unlike the American ones, are grown in a much more hotter and humid climate. Therefore, they don't really need to be kept refrigerated in order to be kept fresh. I have one question for you Barbara. Did you actually take some time to walk all around the store and check out all of the products they carry? I'm going to take an educated guess and say that you didn't. I'm also willing to bet that you didn't talk to the people that work there and and ask them what kinds of products they carry and what kinds of products that they can get. Well I actually took the time to talk to the manager and ask him what types of products they carry. He told me that they carry over 6,000 different products (including the top 100 most popular products of EVERY Asian country) and they can pretty much get ALMOST ANY product you want if you bring them a sample of the product or if you bring them a picture with the brand name of the particular product that you're interested in. I also found out that they have the best prices out of ANY Asian supermarket in South Carolina (at least on all of the items that I compared). I was very impressed with their seafood selection. They had at least seven or eight different types of fish, and get this. They had sushi-grade salmon from Scotland that the manager let me try for free and I have to say that it was absolutely some of the best sushi that I have ever had. Not to mention that it was dirt cheap because they are a wholesale market. I still can't get over on how cheap their prices on seafood were. I noticed that you mentioned that their Durian fruit was "thawed". Durian is an exotic fruit that can only be grown in southeast Asia. Places like Thailand for example. So it has to be frozen while it is fresh in order to transport it to America. Go to the Asian markets in Atlanta and you will see what I'm talking about. If you pay close attention to the way the market is set up and how neat and clean it is you can see that it is totally obvious that whoever came up with this concept wanted to give Greenville and the whole state of South Carolina something that it has never seen before. All I have to say is WOW!!! its about time that we got a REAL Asian market with good products and good prices like the ones in New York and Atlanta. I noticed that you mentioned Saigon Market. I wouldn't even insult the Asian Market on Orchard Park by comparing it to Saigon Market. read more
