In the package it says to arrive 30 minutes early to enjoy mimosas and sweet treats. I did not get taken back to the relaxation room until I stood up and said something. They were too busy chit chatting than worrying about their customer. Finally I was taken back to the relaxation room about 10 minutes before my massage. When I walked in I was shocked they had camper chair for us to sit in, in a so called "relaxation" room. I literally had to chug down my drink and sweet treats before my massage. Finally the massage. ABSOLUTE worst massage I've ever received. The lady spent more time putting the mint oil infront of my nose than actually massage my neck and shoulders, which was literally suffocating. I was also told that hot stone would be included. I had maybe 5 minutes of hot stone on my back and then another 5 minutes of her massaging my back. I'm carrying around a newborn and toddler all day so that was extremely upsetting. My husband booked this massage as a postpartum gift since I just went through an emergency c section and he just wanted me to have a day of relaxation. I left there extremely upset and frustrated instead of feeling good. I ended up leaving a review that night which I've never left a review in my life. And then they replied and was told in the reply if I was open to it they'd like to discuss this further. I called the spa 3 times and the first time I called I was told I would probably just get a refund and that I would be getting a call back. Every other time I called I was given the runaround and told I would be getting a call back. Finally this morning I called and spoke with the owner. The owner was not nice at all and told me because I left a review she will not be giving me any type of compensation. She literally said that because I left a review for the public to see she will not be helping me. I didn't know that I wasn't entitled to leave a review of my experience and because I did I will not be helped. Absolute insanity. Worst customer service and WORST "spa" I've ever been to. Stay away from this horrid place.

Upon arriving at the salon, all workers in the store were following the guidelines laid out for businesses during COVID. Nikki was extremely professional and did amazing work! I believe she is the owner of the establishment. She made me feel extremely comfortable and always made sure that I was doing okay throughout the entire experience. Southern Roots had great reviews and they didn't disappoint. I had my hair colored by Amy and she was wonderful! She really knows her stuff and I felt really comfortable trusting her with my hair. I've been to many salons in the past where my hair did not come out the way I wanted (cut or colored). I was seriously SO surprised at the wonderful work Amy did. I have naturally black hair, and wanted to add a cool toned ashy blonde balayage. My hair turned out AMAZING. Went home and my husband was surprised, but absolutely loved it. Highly recommend!

I deserve to be refunded, period. - This was my first visit to Southern Roots, and while I had high hopes based on the stylist's reviews, my experience unfortunately didn't go as expected. When I left the appointment, my hair had been curled, which can easily mask issues with color or placement. It wasn't until I straightened it two days later that I saw the actual results, and it was clear that the outcome didn't match the inspo photos I shared or the conversation we had beforehand. I reached out right away with photos, and while the stylist responded kindly and offered to fix it, I ultimately decided I wasn't comfortable with another appointment. I was then told the salon doesn't offer refunds, and instead, the owner, who I did not book with would be the one to do the correction. As a first-time client, this doesn't sit well with me. I don't feel comfortable going back, and I don't believe I should have to. I am not asking for anything beyond a fair resolution, and a refund would allow me to go elsewhere and have the issue addressed by someone of my choosing. Out of respect, I won't name the stylist - I don't believe this policy is hers, and I know she's done great work for many others. But I do think the salon's refund policy and how this situation was handled deserve to be shared. I'm including photos (the inspo pictures and my result) so others can make their own judgment. Not only is she friendly she's also knowledgeable in what she does and will go through the whole process with you. She will do a consultation with you before she even begins. She'll ask what you would like done and give recommendations on what she sees for you. During the process she will tell you exactly what she's doing and she's very thorough at what she does. She also makes sure you're comfortable and you don't really feel the waxing process. She's great at keeping the conversation going and by the time she's done you don't realize you've been with her for a while. I would highly recommend coming here! I love how my eyebrows where shaped! I also got a tinting done and I just love what Renee did! Her prices are very reasonable and she offers other services! You'll find Beauty Elements in the center of the buildings that Google Maps takes you. When you enter you'll hear the chimes they have on their door and will be greeted right away.
