I would also encourage the owners to place on their discount that gift cards amounts be listed to the service and that changes to the cost should be negotiated upon arrival. I arrived and was greeted with an amazing smell, nice relaxing music and a friendly staff member. I filled out paperwork and the staff member showed me around. The space is extremely clean and very very well decorated. I waited a very short time in the relaxation area before Terry came to get me for my services. First we started with my eyebrows. Terry was extremely gentle and I almost fell asleep while she was tweezing my brows! She explained step by step of everything she was doing. Next she started my foot peel and covered all pertinent info with me. Lastly, Terry ended up checking me out and she provided her card in the event I had any questions or concerns. She is incredibly skilled, compassionate, and seeks to understand the whole person and any experiences they would like to share, before she commences her work... she would likely call it a passion in serving others rather than work. I seriously needed some work on my neck, and entire back due to neck surgery a few months ago. She increased my range of motion in my cervical spine dramatically in rotation and extension/flexion. They were too busy chit chatting than worrying about their customer. Finally I was taken back to the relaxation room about 10 minutes before my massage. When I walked in I was shocked they had camper chair for us to sit in, in a so called "relaxation" room. I literally had to chug down my drink and sweet treats before my massage. Finally the massage. ABSOLUTE worst massage I've ever received. The lady spent more time putting the mint oil infront of my nose than actually massage my neck and shoulders, which was literally suffocating. I was also told that hot stone would be included. I had maybe 5 minutes of hot stone on my back and then another 5 minutes of her massaging my back. I'm carrying around a newborn and toddler all day so that was extremely upsetting. My husband booked this massage as a postpartum gift since I just went through an emergency c section and he just wanted me to have a day of relaxation. I left there extremely upset and frustrated instead of feeling good. I ended up leaving a review that night which I've never left a review in my life. And then they replied and was told in the reply if I was open to it they'd like to discuss this further. I called the spa 3 times and the first time I called I was told I would probably just get a refund and that I would be getting a call back. Every other time I called I was given the runaround and told I would be getting a call back. Finally this morning I called and spoke with the owner. The owner was not nice at all and told me because I left a review she will not be giving me any type of compensation. She literally said that because I left a review for the public to see she will not be helping me. Despite my years of loyalty, I was rigidly told that because of a 10-minute late policy, I would be turned away because they were slammed for the 4th of July holiday. I even offered to skip my blow-dry to make up for the 4 minutes, but was told my stylist Grace was already overbooked.I was literally moments from pulling into the parking lot, begging to be seen, and was still turned away. Turning away a client who frequents your business every three weeks over a matter of four minutes--especially when a compromise was offered--shows a complete lack of integrity and customer appreciation. It is tasteful business practice to value relationships over rigid booking windows. When you arrive, you walk right into their waiting room which is very calming. Their are signs that tell you to silence your phone, and wait for someone to come grab you. Once you go back, there are multiple rooms. The rooms themselves are also very calming and they have heated tables for your massage. They ask you various questions about pressure, any allergies, types of scents, etc and then they get right into it. Overall, this was everything I needed and more. I love how close it is to my house, the ease of booking, and how comfortable they make you feel.
