Asian World Market in Boynton Beach is officially my new favorite spot! This woman-owned business is truly a treasure trove for anyone who loves to cook or explore Asian cuisine. I originally stopped in just to restock my regular condiments, but I left with so much more! Major win: I finally found fresh Thai basil (nearly impossible to find at other markets!), plus authentic Thai chilis, Hi-Chew candies, and a bottle of sake for later. The store itself is spotless, beautifully organized, and boasts an impressive selection from Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, China, and beyond. The freezer aisle is loaded with treats--fresh produce, dumplings, ice cream, sausages, seafood, and more. I also spotted fresh fruit like bananas and mangoes. The noodle aisle? An absolute dream for instant ramen lovers and home cooks alike, featuring everything from ready-to-make ramen packets to a variety of rice, soba, and udon noodles. Don't even get me started on their huge assortment of shrimp chips--hands down my favorite snack! To top it all off, the owner (who is incredibly friendly and welcoming) told me about the Thai street food vendors popping up every Saturday at 11:30 a.m.--already planning my next visit for that! After lunch we stopped in to this market to browse and find something interesting. The husband wife team that owns manages the market are from Thailand and carry a large stock of Asian goods. The store is very clean and well organized. The husband helped my wife find some Almond cookies she likes and I found a can of Tom Yum Soup to make with some shrimp we have at home. Great market! This was a cozy, but good Asian market. The very nice owners are Thai, but they have a lot of Japanese and other Asian products packed into a small space. It's located on the west end of the shopping strip on the north side of Woolbright. The strip is busy so parking g spaces are at a premium. We got one of the 2 open spaces. Inside the aisles are narrow. Along one wall and in the back are cold/freezer storage. Too many items to list. In one back corner is a bit of fresh produce. Down the narrow aisles are all sorts of products -- cans, boxes, plastic bags, containers of all shapes and sizes. Spices, cookies, crackers, noodles, sodas, candies, soups, powders, pastes, convenience foods, seasonings, chocolates, etc etc. We had fun browsing. We even bought some cookies and some tom yung soup. Good to know that we could come here if we need an Asian item to enhance our cooking. read more

This is an immaculate Asian grocery store packed with everything you could possibly want to create fabulous Asian foods. I was very impressed with how organized it was and the help provided with where items were and even how to use them in my creations. They have a refrigerated section in the rear. I was able to get fresh baby bok choy and Japanese eggplant. I can't find these items in the local supermarket. This is a great place to get all your Asian products. read more

Their frozen section contains many hard-to-find items including Tod Mun and other goodies. They are helpful and friendly and try to find you what you want. Prices are reasonable even though they have so much inventory. Came in looking for buldak ramen and found it! This store was so well organized and clean! They have so many things! I got two types of buldak ramen, chili oil, and seaweed. They have a frozen cooler full of goods and a refrigerator full of veggies. I was so surprised by how great it was in here! I went to this place today! I LOVED IT! Such a clean and beautifully laid out store. I am a black woman that loves to learn different cultures and food. When I went into this store the lady that works there is so helpful and welcoming! I didn't get the rude treatment that I have in the past at other Asian businesses. She explained how to cook things and offered other items to consider. The store is not super big but there is SOOOO much to take in and learn if you're new to Asian cooking (for me it's totally ok, I could have spent hours in this store). Considering this is Florida and does not exactly have the largest Asian population in the world, would really be considered less than adequate by someone from the far east. It does have some representation of fresh Asian produce, but how fresh. Most of the products available in this store are either frozen or canned which may meet the necessities of the novice Asian cook, not the seasoned Chef. The Seafood department and Prepared food department can be hit or miss with the availability of items. I understand not every employee is required to speak English, but if the employee is required to interact with costumers, they should at least have the insight to assist the customer by recruiting a colleague who can help, instead of making believe they do not see us. read more
