I requested a "move-in" clean. I advised that the townhome had been unoccupied for a few years. I advised that our things were in the home but I needed a good once over before I felt comfortable putting things away... I can say FOR SURE two things were done that are listed on the contract... The toilets were gross from hard water and they were sparkling clean after. My oldest child's bathroom was clean, floors clearly mopped... Cabinets... ummm... and then I went to warm up take out for my son... VERY communal microwave in the office. My tub.. nope. Vents dusted, (even though they are sited in the quote)... Nope. Doors wiped down? You guessed it... NOPE. Despite how upset I was I tried nicely to convey that the invoice needed adjustment. I was met with begging to come play around in my home (no thanks), then gaslighted to try to believe that I can't read or see either. THEN LEGIT arguing with this lady about messaging me at odd hours of the night. The most basic understanding of consumer law states that even collection agencies can only correspond during certain hours. Only for me today to decide that it's not worth the wasted energy... Only for I guess her to pretend the interaction didn't happen yesterday??? This is truly the strangest, most disappointing interaction with a small business owner I have EVER had. She made very strange and incorrect statements about my financial status ASSUMING I would not be able to cover the bill, my knowledge of business practices, education level and... HEAVENS! My water heater stopped heating and I called a couple of Indy-based companies to try and figure out what was wrong. First company made a quick assessment and said we should replace at least the heating elements and maybe the thermostat too, just to be safe; this would have been $500-800. I reached out to Plumb On to get me a second quote since that first one felt high. Corey came out and spent 45 minutes or so thoroughly diagnosing the problem. It turns out that none of the hardware components were broken, and Corey identified the true problem: a loose wire and a bad connection, which he fixed within a few minutes. We would not have been able to complete that project without the efforts of All Pro Heating and Cooling. It is not enough to say just that, however. An understanding of the situation we were in when we contracted with All Pro is needed. We had originally contracted with for the entirety of the project went out of business shortly after completing the rough sheet metal work, they had wired in the variable dampers and pulled the line sets. Most of that work was done well, with some minor issues related to the line sets. The remaining hardware: furnaces, condensers, split units, and control system we on order to now out of business HVAC contractor. Some of the materials ordered had been delivered, some had not. Most components had been ordered some had not. The control wiring was not labeled and some of the control wiring was wired incorrectly. So as you can see my project was in a bad state, making matters worse there was no one at the original company to speak with about any of this. All Pro Heating and Cool stepped in a took over the project successfully identifying the shortcomings, either re-ordering or working through the various supply houses to find and complete the materials list and testing all aspects of the work performed by the previous subcontractor. This was no small feat and would have been expected of any replacement contractor. However, Dave and his team did this well and communicated with us regarding schedule, material tracking and performed all inspections as needed without complaint or extra charges, blamed on not understanding the scope of work. Should I ever need HVAC or plumbing subcontractors in the Indianapolis area again the first company I will be calling is All Pro Heating and Cooling. They can and will meet or exceed your expectations as they did mine. Thank you Dave see you on the next one.
