I experienced less than average customer service from this company. This company mislead me. They…read morecharged me $3500 for a sliding glass door and claimed it was so expensive because of special hardware that they had to order from the States. When the door arrived it was missing pieces on the hardware, the plastic stopper fell off, the door was cut too small so it did not fit into the bottom channel and they compensated by adding a sloppy cut plastic underneath the channel. They came to fix the door however It was still installed on a slant and would not stay in the closed position unless locked however the lock fell off within the first two weeks. I find out after that they ordered their hardware from CR Lawrence a CANADIAN company. I requested a honest price adjustment because they did not deliver a door with high end hardware from the states as promised. The owner became defensive and called me arrogant and IGNORED my request for a partial refund. I now have to hire other people to come and fix this door. They've taken my money and did not deliver what they sold me.

Bill and Cam just installed another shower door which fits and works perfectly. They came out on the day we had arranged, called ahead of arrival, came on time, and completed the job which looks great! We were very happy that they also were able to adjust a shower door previously installed. We are very happy with the service, professionalism and warranty they provide Glass Doctor of Barrie provided. They are reasonably priced. Thanks again to Glass Doctor and many thanks to Bill and Cam this time round for your wonderful installation of our shower doors.

During the installation, the crew was incredibly careless and damaged the plants in the front of my house. I understand that accidents happen, but the installers didn't even try to be careful or have the basic courtesy to report the damage to me before they left. Additionally, I was shocked to find out that my new backyard sliding door is noticeably smaller than the original one. I was never once informed during the sales process or prior to installation that there would be a reduction in size. To make matters worse, the hardware quality is highly questionable. Less than three weeks after installation, the door handle/flush mount pull broke off under completely normal daily use. When I contacted customer service to report the broken hardware, I fully expected it to be covered. Instead, they told me I had to pay $40 for a replacement part. I just spent thousands of dollars on these windows and doors, and they are nickel-and-diming me over a defective handle that didn't even last a month. You can always tell the true quality of a company by how they stand behind their products and honor their warranty when something goes wrong. In this case, Ecotech completely failed to do either. A word of warning to future buyers: just be careful of those "too good to be true" reviews. Research the company wisely--look into not just the windows themselves, but most importantly, how they actually handle their warranty. Don't just rely on the smooth sales pitch from the salesman. Be sure to check Yelp for more honest reviews before making your decision. Highly disappointing experience. I cannot recommend them.
