I have enjoyed shopping here for decades. I was surprised to see an encounter with a customer regarding their new fine jewelry they sell during my last (and possibly final) visit. The customer had bought a piece of jewelry worth over $5,000 and it didn't fit the person who was to wear it, as it was too small to go around. They brought it in within a few days time to see if it could be exchanged for something that did fit the person. The owner let them know in no uncertain terms that they could not exchange or return it and suggested they gift it to someone else who it would fit (a $5,000 plus fine jewelry gift!) The owner told them they shouldn't have bought the item in the first place (instead of thanking them for shopping with them). It was honestly shocking to me that they were unwilling to find a piece that would fit the person instead. I left the store with a bad taste in my mouth and have no desire to go back to what used to be my favorite store. Just so disappointed and shocked by the experience. read more

Recently, I was in Wichita, KS on business and visited Aspen Boutique. I discovered a little piece of Heaven on earth! I found some sandals I fell in love with, but walked out without them. A week later, I still wanted them, but was back home. I called Aspen Boutique and asked if I could buy them over the phone and have them shipped to me. I lived in Wichita, KS for six years. During that time, I shopped at the Aspen Boutique often. Those who worked there remembered me, set aside things they thought I'd like, and they were courteous, friendly, and helpful. The inventory changes often, much of it is available when you interact with those who work there -- they magically produce it for you from "the back." My daughter is a tall person who finds it hard to buy off the rack. And she was pregnant, too. Yet we walked out of there with several great pieces perfect for her!
