I stated multiple times that at this time I couldn't afford these extra services but would still like to get my regular cleanings and they refused to schedule me until I did the deep clean, they wanted to charge me 1500$ for. They also stated I needed Invisalign for another 3000$. I am a 30+ year old adult. I had braces when I was younger. It is all for aesthetics I don't need them or want them again. False advertising and they just are in it for the Money - I made my appointment and they had an opening on line so I jumped through all the hoops and drove the 10 miles to the appointment only to be told that because I don't live in MN they can't help me with my cracked tooth with out jumping through more hoops and multiple appointments, but there's nothing they can do for me and I should go else where. Their business practices and model are there to make money not help people. Play at your own risk!!! If enough people complain it won't help. Do your research and perhaps use a smaller dental office where you have more recourse and in most cases are able to speak with your provider who has more at stake because they own the practice. Since last April I have tried to schedule a simple cleaning and my appointment has either been cancelled or rescheduled 3 times. Today I went in for a 9am appointment (this was my 3rd attempt) only to find out it was rescheduled to 9:30. I showed the office person my text that stated 9am. Since they always seem to run behind schedule it could easily be an hour wait, and I was not in the mood to sit there for an hour. This was the 2nd time I drove there, 40min round trip so I said that's it for me. No more Aspen. I had other issues with them besides this. 1. Had to wait a long time to get in when I was in pain with an tooth that needed a root canal. Come to find out, they only let new patients come in right away. They have no emergency services. 2. They tried to talk me into a new crown after this root canal, which would have cost 1k. They do not do root canals. The dentist that did my root canal (Endodontic Assoc) just patched up my old crown instead and a fraction of the cost. Now I have signed on to a new dentist that is a private practice dentist instead of a Walmart type dentist. read more

I had a cleaning this morning, and an overview of the next steps in my treatment. Everyone was very kind. I especially liked the dental hygienist, Rosie. It was my first time with her, but she made me feel like we'd known each other for a long time. Absolutely delightful. I also want to acknowledge the front desk receptionist-while I was waiting to go back, there was a lady at the desk who was quite unkind to the front desk gal. Aspen Dental is the WORST company I have ever dealt with in my 68 years on this planet. Aspen incorrectly charged my wife over $2,000 for work that was covered by her insurance and refuses to refund the money they incorrectly charged her for, even after 3 months of trying. Aspen's customer service representatives and district supervisors ROUTINELY make promises that they do not keep. If I had a dollar for every time I was told that I'd get a call back that same day and didn't, well, I'd have a lot of dollars. Aspen's customer service representatives are extremely unprofessional. For example, it is standard in business to put an "out-of-office" message on your email if you will be out of the office for days. Aspen customer service reps don't do this. Aspen appears to have a large turnover among its employees. Getting told that an employee is no longer with Aspen and didn't take care of issues they promised they would is more than just annoying. Filing in small claims court to attempt to get our money back. Aspen is completely unethical. If you are looking for a PROFESSIONAL dentist with decent customer service, look elsewhere. I chose Aspen Dental as they were the only Dental company that was will to work on my teeth when I am in my wheelchair. This means the hygienist has to do extra work to position themselves to clean my teeth. They have done an excellent job. The most recent treatment was a periodontal cleaning. The most recent appointment was with Rosie- the hygienist. She did a terrific job. She was pleasant, thorough and efficient. I asked to have my next appointment with her. read more

Aspen Dental is an awful company. The charges are incorrect. Every time I visited the dental office, I paid for the service as told. However, after a few months of service, I received a bill claiming that I missed a payment from a previous visit. The bill included charges from the beginning until the last visit, which doesn't make sense. When I called customer service to discuss the bill, the response was unsatisfactory. So who reviews a Dental clinic? Me.. that's who! When I first walked in the clinic I got conflicted information based off the scheduler , I was moody and very impatient do to my dental emergency. The young lady at the desk was so patient with me and tried her best not to take it personally. Which it wasn't intended. I was scared , crying and felt so defeated. Aspen dental wasn't in my health network and I knew it was going to be a HUGE COST associated with what I needed to do. They went over 4 options, did complimentary x rays and sat me down with the most amazingly compassionate human being I've ever met in my big age of 45. She was named accordingly too , NEVAEH ! She made me feel so confident, she was empathetic and absolutely such an amazing young lady. ( I'm a hard critic). She got me scheduled, and financially confident in my next steps. I would never ever come back to this place. First impression... nice place, clean, nice people. During my check up, was told i had 6 cavities, needed two crowns and two teeth pulled. Shocking and appalled I decided these guys are the professionals and I must need all these things done. Started with the two teeth being pulled. This was scary to me as i hadn't had it done before. Psyched myself up and went in to have the procedure done. Upon my arrival was told my insurance wasn't taken at this place (previously it was) but that they'd set up a payment plan for me. I should've walked out then, but had already gotten myself up early and gave myself a huge pep talk to even do this. So i was doing it. After my teeth were removed, I started having huge problems. The dentist had exposed my jaw bone (very painful) and it was cutting my tongue. So I went back in. Immediately I could tell my dentist was annoyed. He started to just file my bone down and I almost went through roof. No compassion at all. It never heeled properly so I ended up having to go to another place to have it fixed. After this , I decided I should probably get my so called cavities taken care of. So I found a new place that took my insurance and and in today... did all new X-rays and guess what. I HAVE ZERO CAVITIES!!!!! ZERO!! So what were they going to fill. To think I could've went to Aspen dental again to have these 6 "cavities" filled make me physically SICK to my stomach!!!! ASPEN Dental is one of the worst dental or medical offices i have ever been a customer of. Practices are borderline fraudulent. It's clear each office has a Revenue Quota which is disgusting in a medical setting. I was told i had 15 cavities... got a second opinion, turns out i have 1, not 15! The treatment plan had nothing to do with my health but rather their revenue dollars. Disgusting is the word that comes to mind. I now have been to the Bloomington dental clinic 4 times. Dr. Ishakawah, his assistant Jordan, and the dental hygienist Trish were all professional and caring. I had a concern I needed to address during my cleaning, so the hygienist brought the doctor in to take a look even though I was not on the doctor's schedule. Another small detail: I can call them for my proof of payment required by my insurance company and receive the receipt in my email by the end of the day. Less hassle for me! read more

I had neglected my dental care for a long time, so I was very nervous about going in to the office. I was also in a lot of pain. I did have some things that needed lots of work and was feeling pretty bad about it. The people in this office were so kind and put me at ease. I've had 3 appointments within the past month and feel a lot better! Every time I have gone in they have been very professional, did the work with lots of care, and got me in and out. Upon my first visit to Aspen Dental I was told that I had 2 cavities and moderate gingivitis. This came as a shock to me considering for the first 25 years of my life I had no complications with my teeth. I got a second opinion and it turns out my teeth were perfectly healthy. My dental pain began at the end of November as I was managing it with a great deal of Aleve. I was price shopping for services as my employer (Cambria) does not offer dental insurance. I had gotten an estimate at Shamblott Family dentistry. They said I needed a root canal/crown procedure. They also wanted half up front to get me out of pain and really didn't offer acceptable payment options. My spouse recommended I look at Aspen Dental. I've now been to the Bloomington Office twice for services. I can't say enough about how great they are! I did not need a root canal and was given a comprehensive evaluation of my situation. The front desk is attentive and friendly. The young woman who had to take my x-rays was doing her best as I have a strong gag reflex. The dental hygienist, Samantha, had a great demeanor and was very gentle. The finance guy, Ben, was professional and lovely. He was able to find a payment plan that worked for me. The two dentists (Chandrada, Ishikawa) I have seen were skilled and professional. I instantly felt like I was in good hands which is vital to a positive dental experience. Made an appointment for a cleaning for a new patient for both myself and my husband. Unfortunately the first appointment was a waste of time and did not include a cleaning. It included a financial consult and pressure to open a line of credit to pay for a long list of products and services not covered by our very good dental insurance. They were very obviously trying to upsell anything they could. The staff was kind but the business practices were unethical. We were shocked when we saw that they charged the line of credit for all of the services and products not yet rendered, including an overpriced toothbrush for $132. Find a different dentist who isn't in it just to take your money. read more

Nope, will never EVER go back to Aspen Dental again. First off, I waited for 10 mins in the front while the receptionist was on the phone, other employees walking by just looking at me. Then, I get my X-Rays started.....she doesn't even put the friggin X-Ray bib on me, proceeds to complain how bad her knees are and then tells me, after most of my X-rays are done "Don't worry, you wont glow." Next, I basically get a toothbrush shoved into my mouth to "try out". I didn't even get a chance to say "No Thanks" before she pretty much pushed the toothbrush in my face.
