I love this Place. Dr Head and Her assitant Mikah are two awesome people. Dr Head is a very gentle she is very caring and listens to what your saying. Not only is she a great dentist she will go out of her way to work with your needs. I have had extensive work done. New top denture fits like a glove a extraction, new lower partial still have to wait a bit for that. Zoom whiting awesome and some cavities filled. Mikah always has a smile on her face when she works with you makes you feel very as ease She is super. The one thing that has kept me from giving this review a full 5 star is. You can tell this is corporate owned way over booked and the dentists just cant keep up with the corporate scheduling. You can imagine with all the work I have had done I have logged several hours there. I have seen these people work through lunches several times have seen all these same people work way past closing time, one time it was with me so its a known fact. Aspen Dental Beavercreek put crowns on my molars in summer 2025. one of them came off Friday afternoon and I immediately called them and left a voicemail about it and ask they call back ASAP. didn't call back until Monday at 10:30 am with 1st available on Wednesday at 10 am. I explained to them what happened and that I didn't have the crown, along with being painful to eat. Went in today, they took an xray of the molar. Dentist came in took a look, asked if I had the crown, explained that I didn't, asked when it came off, told him Friday. He stated he needed to talk with the head dentist, Dr Shaw. 10 minutes later, the assistant manager came in and said since a previous dentist had done the work, I would need to go to that location, as the dentist had moved. Asked why I wasn't informed Monday when I called, as the other office is 35 minutes (compared to 10). Assistant manager said the office staff doesn't know this info. i said that was inexcusable as all the info is in my file. there Was no apology from any of them. This has been among the worst experience of any organization in my life time let along a dental organization I have ever experienced. I scheduled my first available urgent at 8am on 4/3 to whom I my insurance search said it was a Dentist/ Endodontist by the name of Vasudha Basava. I didn't find out it was an Aspen Dental until I arrived. Later that day the Aspen Dental Regional Manager by the name of Adrienne Taylor sent me an email inquiring how my visit was so I am going to summarize what I wrote: "I wish to express my deep disappointment and frustration with my recent visit. When I scheduled the appointment, I clearly stated it was an emergency due to one or two broken teeth. Despite arriving early, sending x-rays from my dentist with a plan, and completing paperwork ahead of time, I waited past my appointment time. I was then subjected to an excessive number of x-rays--far beyond what was necessary for the issue I described, which was isolated to the lower right molars. The process was physically painful and not requested. After repeating my concerns to multiple staff members, the dentist briefly examined me and mentioned prescribing antibiotics and pain relief. However, this was never followed through. I was later taken to another room where I was presented with a $15,000 treatment plan, despite having Aetna insurance. Many charges seemed inflated or unnecessary, including multiple cleanings that should be covered. I asked just to pull a tooth, and/or fix the back tooth with a new root canal and crown. She said it could not be split up that way and there was only two package options. I emphasized the need to prioritize the most painful issue and requested the prescriptions be sent to my pharmacy. They could not accommodate and unfortunately, the antibiotics and pain medication were never called in. I spent the weekend in severe pain, relying on over-the-counter remedies just to function. This experience was unacceptable. I still have broken teeth, ongoing pain, and no resolution. If my insurance was charged for the x-rays, I request electronic copies be sent to me for potential use with another provider. I also ask that the promised prescriptions be fulfilled immediately. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution. Thank you." Adrienne Taylor, (Aspen Dental Regional Manager) scheduled a call with me 11 days later. I then got my x-rays and later a anti-biotic prescription but nothing for the pain as promised. Yesterday & today, my tooth cracked again, and I thought I would give Aspen a second change at a different location and reached out Adrienne Taylor, Aspen Dental Regional Manager, for assistance. I called twice, left a message & sent several emails. She never called back & I find out later the emails were deleted without even being read! I went ahead and called and schedule the earliest available at their Beavercreek location. The admin or dental assistance by the name of Sandra was rude, condescending & actually argued with me. Saying they can't due what the other Aspen dentist had down, and was going to pull a perfectly good tooth. I informed her I am looking at my actual x-rays. She still raised her voice and argued with me. I said I would see them as I need something done today. She said she nor the dentist/endodontist can promise anything today. I informed her that is why I entered it as an emergency in the system. I had to have my fiance drive me due to the pain I was in, and the pain medication I needed to take just to be able to talk and focus. I get there, and I am told I owe a back balance of $120. I had not back balance, my insurance paid for the x-rays then Sandra comes in raising her voice, that fee is to be paid to just be seen. I informed her that is impossible, I have insurance, all is covered, and I never have to pay anything to be seen. I didn't at the other Aspen Dental in Miamisburg either, and this is an urgent emergency. She said you are going to pay $120, or you are not going to be seen, and I already called Adrienna. The level of poor service, blatant disrespect, and rudeness is shocking. I left, with my fiance, and will never go to any Aspen Dental. Obviously never recommend them to anyone! Absolutely horrible service, no empathy, lack of follow-up and follow thru by leadership. BEWARE and chose anyone else. By the way I have all of this documented and even witnessed. I have UCaaS and AI that auto record my calls, meetings, and I have saved emails. My fiance was also witness. You can't make this stuff up. Save your money, time and sanity and choose someone else. I received texts and emails confirming appointment time along with confirmation during each phone call. A phone call the day before the scheduled appointment was to give updated insurance and was verbally told specifics again about my appointment the following day. ZERO STARS!! I have been going to Aspen Dental in Beavercreek for YEARS!!! I have always had nothing but great experiences there. I used to recommend to everyone! I don't know what happened, but it has turned to absolute garbage in a matter of months. They are SCAM ARTISTS at this point. They cancelled my appointment in December last minute and said they couldn't re-schedule me for 10 MONTHS there!! What!? So they offered me to go to the Centerville location and I did to get it done on my day off. The ladies in that office were less than friendly, but that's for another rant! A month or so later I get a paper bill for $195 for some comprehensive exam that I NEVER ASKED FOR!!! My appointment should have been a routine cleaning, the only thing I've ever scheduled for every 6 months. I call and talk to Michael about the bill and he says they didn't run insurance so he would work on that and I could call back in a couple weeks. SO, a little over 2 weeks later, today, I get a call about a balance again. I call back and Anita tells me I have a balance of OVER $500!!! Now she tells me I owe for LAST JUNE'S cleaning and scans because insurance didn't cover them! WHAT?? Why is it APRIL 25 and I'm just now hearing about that??? It's been almost a year!? Horrible, horrible, horrible. I made an emergency appointment because I was having severe pain in my mouth. Before my visit I was unable to get in contact with anyone in the office after scheduling the appointment. I showed up to my appointment and they denied me, because their phones were down the afternoon prior and couldn't confirm my appointment I made less than 12 hours before. The receptionist was incredibly rude, and just gave me a blank stare. They never once offered to reschedule my appointment and just kept repeating that she wasn't in yesterday when the phones were down. Initially I was super impressed with them. They said I had that periodontal disease! It scared the crap out of me. But assured me they would take good care of me and fix my problem. I was so vulnerable at the time because my dad had recently passed away. So I signed up with their Dental First plan and got the gamut of x-rays, initial gum treatment. etc. and it came to about $3k. But I thought that was for the ENTIRE plan ~ which would cover several visits/treatments. Come to find out several months later (after they kept rescheduling my appts at the last minute) that most of that was for the first visit! There's no way they did 3 thousand dollars worth of work in one visit!' Now keep in mind, I did go back and have more treatments done. But they seemed to charge me each time. I can be a little slow on the uptake, and I really wasn't putting 2 and 2 together. But on my last visit, when they said it was going to be $500 and I said, "aren't you taking it out of the $3k?" They said no, it's for THIS visit and you have to pay it up front." I said no, we're done here. I went home and stopped going back. And I refuse to pay the rest of the "loan" based on the fact that I was misled about the entire treatment "plan". I agree with all the others on here. Steer clear of this place! I have been fighting with them to get my insurance billing done correctly for over 1 year. In the mean time I paid over $600 in interest payment on CareCredit that would have not have happened if billed correctly upfront. They were wonderful but I needed root canals in 2 molars and I wouldn't be in Chicago for all the treatments. They contacted my insurance to provide me an estimate of costs. Once back in Dayton, my estimated care plan was$ 6000 more. How is that possible? I'll drive back to Chicago and receive kindness and care. I paid 700.00 for my daughters procedure to have wisdom teeth removed. the day of we was on our way and I get a call that it would be another 1700.00. it was something that had to be done! the procedure went well, the surgeon and staff was really nice to her. And it is a shame, because the assistant who took my x-rays and the dentist who did my evaluation were actually quite pleasant and thorough. The first issue was the wait times. For a simple checkup I spent at least two hours just sitting in the chair between being seen by different people. Then, when I was told about my treatment plan, it included a gamut of various treatments I didn't ask for. I specifically asked for the free cleaning my insurance covered and nothing more. Oral cancer screening, floride treatment, a $200 toothbrush...and they wanted it all paid up front before I came in for me cleaning in another appointment...WTF?! I have never had to come back for a cleaning after the checkup at any dentist I've been to my entire life. I did return since I was already vested, and the hygenist continued to foist the expensive treatments on me. I specifically asked for just the preventative free cleaning my insurance covered and she refused! If you value your time and money and think the opinion of the patient should carry gravity when discussing their own care, I suggest you steer clear of this money grubbing, profit before patient establishment, or any of their chain locations for that matter. I have wasted too much time and money already. Let my lesson learned be your caveat. UPDATE 5/10/18: I am glad I got a second opinion. Based on bite wings alone, the other dentist saw my teeth were quite healthy and didn't warrant anything but a standard cleaning, which I got from a hygenist immediately afterwards. My husband just had some teeth removed in January by Aspen. We had our bill financed through Dental First Finance (a company Aspen goes through). They never mailed any statements to us or emails of when the payments were due. They put on my husbands credit that he had a 30 day late fee. Knocked him down 120 points over what THEY DID!! Doesn't matter time of day, my appointments are always late. Been left waiting so long that Novocain wore off while getting a filling. They then sat me in front of the office manager and she informed they would not be giving me treatment that day, but wanted me to agree to a dental plan. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Every appointment I had to get my fillings was rescheduled multiple times due to them being behind. Even when they didn't call me beforehand and I went at my expected appointment time, I'd wait around for 30 minutes to be told it'll be another 40 minutes. They also leave you to sit in the chair once they take you back for an incredibly long time. The only reason I continued to go was because I had already paid for my fillings. I have been a patient on Miamiisburg Centerville Road as well as Troy for extractions...I was treated at Miamisburg Centerville Road like I was the lowest class of people on earth..They were total snobs no matter how I tried to communicate with them! In Troy it was even worse because I had 2 back extractions and the dentist and her associate talked cruelly to my because I couldn't keep my tongue down."you better keep your tongue down or you are going to get burned, do you hear me!?!" There were particles going down my throat and I was choking on them!!! I have NEVER been so humiliated like that by any medical professional..which they are not!!! Also, the assistant was arguing with me about my diabetes and that my AIC (which it 6) was too high and I'm not managing my diabetes like I should!!! She talked to me like I was a stupid child! After 20 minutes I let it go because she was determined to be right and I was just plain ignorant!!! My insurance company has assured me that I will have coverage for dentures in 2020. So today I called them and they informed me I have to be reinstated as a new patient because it has been more than 6 months since my last visit! This includes a new visit and new x-rays!!! Just another way to use up my insurance and not get dentures!!! I don't remember the dentist name, but she understood why I wanted it pulled even though she though I should get it retreated. She agreed to my wishes and got it out in one piece. I live in Ohio and was directed to Aspen Dental in my preferred providers through dental select. I have been nothing but taken advantage from both locations. Aspen dental suggested I needed 8 fillings and periodontal cleaning as well as therapy. I decided (since I am young and do not know better) to have this all done and financed everything to dental first financing. (which I am sure is owned by Aspen Dental). After my cleaning and 2 fillings I started having second thoughts after being pushed into buying a 200 dollar toothbrush for "therapy reasons" and because the actual dentist (not the hygienist, the hygienist was actually lovely) would complain about her adopted son and talk about social politics (also I would wait in the lobby for over an hour one appointment took an hour and 45 mins before I got up and walked out). I decided to see a dentist which is out of network but after my experience I thought was worth it (and he was worth it, Dr. Neely in Vandalia, highly recommend). My new dentist said I did not even need periodontal cleaning or the therapy and that I only needed 3 fillings. After having xrays and 2 fillings OUT OF NETWORK the cost was only 120 dollars. I gladly paid... however I am still stuck with this 2000 bill from aspen dental. When I had the 6 fillings canceled and the therapy, they ONLY took off 200 dollars off the bill WOW! I am disputing the whole bill and have kept my ridiculous toothbrush in its box. I called the finance department today after being told my account would be on freeze during the dispute. NOPE I have to pay late fees and they only took off 200 dollars the whole bill. My bill as at 1700 because of the payments I made, now it is over 1800. I decided to call my insurance company thinking they would have their clients' best interest in mind and told them all the problems I have had with aspen dental. The lady on the phone said "im sorry do you have a problem with the insurance?" to which I replied "no but I just thought you ought to know that they are on your preferred list and this is what they have done". She responded "what do you want me to do". I hung up... Dental select clearly does not care just as much as Aspen Dental does not care. My thought process is that I should inform Dental Select because they ended up paying a portion of a bill that was not even necessary to begin with. They do not care about their customers and they certainly will continue to keep this horrible dental facility on their top list. Please read this and find it of use when you are looking for a trust worthy nice place to maintain the health of your teeth as well as a trust worthy insurance company.
