I had been looking for a friendly professional dental group for quite some time. Unfortunately it always turned into a learning lesson of what I didn't want. I could write a book. I had a bridge placed July 2025 by Dr Quinttus at Rahn Dental and it was a horrible experience. The temporary bridge placed for 2 weeks while the permanent was being made caused pain the entire time, which I told him. When I returned to remove it and place the new one I told him I was still in pain and essentially no response. He removed the temp wiped my mouth (without assessing if something else was wrong) and seated the permanent bridge; I've been in pain ever since. The next week I returned and he announced he wanted to do several root canals- to solve the pain problem, I was devastated. I had paid thousands of dollars for a bridge that has hurt to this day and he wanted to do more expensive and painful work. I've seen several endodontists who are unsure which tooth may need a root canal or if that would solve the problem. The prognosis for complete recovery and pain free status is not good and in fact could be this way the rest of my life I do not recommend this dentist or practice. They refused to refund the money for the bridge. Terrible work and customer service. read more

A former dentist found decay under a crown on xray. Dr Quinttus would pry the crown up at dental visits with his instruments to observe it. This is ignorant and promotes further decay. He attempted to recrown the tooth. He fractured the tooth severely during the recrown procedure $$. Because of this, Dr Quinttus caused the tooth and jaw to abscess. Dr Quinttus root canaled the tooth 4 months after the crown $$, and then pulled the tooth the very next day $$. Charging me money for each failed procedure. Dr Quinttus never took xrays during any of his procedures. I had to go through several rounds of antibiotics for the abscess, jaw surgery to remove the abscess by a surgeon, and bone grafting of the jaw by a surgeon. I also have permanent nerve damage in that area of my face. Dr Quinttus started to fill an early abscess fistula with an antibiotic to which I'm severely allergic. I had to remind and explain this allergy to him multiple times. He doesn't check your medical chart. Dr Quinttus never communicates his steps or plans of action. He performs the procedure and walks away. He has zero dental skills or communication skills, which is a very dangerous combination for a dentist. By the way, I am writing this review 9 months after Dr Quinttus extracted the abscessed tooth. Due to Dr Quinttus: I suffered jaw bone abscess, continue with severe jaw pain, continue to suffer with problems speaking, and continue to suffer from numbness of the teeth/gums/cheek/lip in that area. Due to Dr Quinttus: I had to miss several days of work. This whole episode was a nightmare. And I still suffer from his damage. Do not go to Rahn Dental! Dr Quinttus is very unskilled, very unprofessional, very dangerous, senile, and needs his license removed immediately. He and Rahn Dental are only out for money. This review is about billing procedures , Insurance coding , customer relations, and office staff communication . In the fall of 2025 I was told by my dentist that it would be better to pull one of my teeth in front and bridge over it than just doing a repair . I decided I'd like a second opinion so I contacted my insurance company and was told that they pay for second opinions. They helped me find a Dentist near me- " Rahn Dental" that they deal with . I called told the receptionist what I wanted to do and she set up an appointment. As always there was a mountain of paperwork and on which I wrote several times I am here for a second opinion only and had no intention of leaving my dentist of the last 30 + years. A few weeks later I received notice in mail from Met Life that they sent them a code for a limited oral evaluation and the x-ray instead of a consultation . I had already had that within the limited 6 month period from my regular dentist. I got the proper code and called but got nowhere with Rahn staff. Keep in mind that Met pays $63.00 for this so it isn't about trying to cheat a dentist out of his pay as my full bill is 66.80 as it stands. A person at the insurance company then offered to at least call and ask Rahn to re-code the bill on my behalf . I heard nothing more until 2-17-26 when I opened my mail and had a bill claiming I was over 90 days late on payment . I called at 2pm on the 17th and again at 4:45 leaving messages to call me both times. no answer no response . About 11 am on the 18th I walked into the Rahn office to talk about it and was again shrugged off. I am 70 years old and I talk with my hands, somehow this intimidates Shannon who for some reason makes a bigger than life deal about it and claims the conversation has to be over because of it. She claims that Dr. Quinttus coded the bill , so I asked Shannon to have him call me since he is the only one who can change it. Other than that the dentist's here seem to be quite busy and I had no problems with Dr. Quinttus . If office staff was more attentive and coding and communication was better I'd have no trouble making them my regular dentist if something ever happened to mine. read more

Emergency Dental repair! I called office got in at 8am the next day and had the exam and repair done all in the same appointment! Now that is customer service! Dr Heather was pleasant and professional and so was the restoration specialist Lexi I believe her name was. Made an appointment for a comprehensive exam. Dr. Quinttus was the best! As someone who is terrified to go to the dentist, Dr. Quinttus eased all my fears and made the procedure, easy and painless. This manager up front though, made me not want to go back. She was extremely rude to her employees and she acted like she was better than everyone in the building. I have extreme anxiety at the dentist. Since we moved to Ohio, I had to find a new office. I chose this one because of the excellent reviews. It was anxiety-free! The hygienist took her time, explained as she worked and gave me the ability to feel in control. I have to admit, I have never had that experience before. It was awesome! The dentist Dr Kristy was very personable. I felt an immediate connection with her and again, no anxiety! All in all a great dental experience. read more

I'm nervous going to the dentist and I've had more than a handful of poor experiences at different dentists. I've recently moved to the area and came to Rahn at the recommendation of a coworker and I have absolutely no regrets. The hygienist and Dr. Kristy were wonderfully patient with me and my considerable anxiety. I have very sensitive gums and have all my life no matter how I floss and brush and they made sure that I was comfortable through the entire appointment. I'm not dreading my check-up in six months and that's the first time in my life I've ever felt like that. I highly recommend this practice. read more
