I can endure great pain and have tolerated everything a dentist has thrown at me and never complain. I saw John Gallagher at Yankee Dental. Right away I were put off by his bad energy. He walked into the room, didnt introduce himself, didnt ask how I was doing.. just cold, negative, and dark. He gave me the standard sedative and began workin. During the process he dumped some kind of chemical in my mouth. They did not perform a suction of the loose chemical setting in my throat. I accidentally swallowed some and proceeded to gag. The chemical tasted similar to that of chlorine. it was very harsh and caused uncontrollable gagging. They still did not offer me any rinse or suction. They proceeded to let me gag on the residue. When I finally was able to lay back , I gagged a little more as John attempted to drill and he threw his hands up in the air out of complete frustration.. he was very irritated and showed it visibly. i've never seen a dentist act so rudely or inconsiderately with lack of care or concern for their patient suffering. My gagging really perturbed him and he walked out of the room. He didn't say anything. He didn't act like he cared about my suffering, and he never offered her a rinse and a suction. He continued to let me gag on the chemical. My spouse had to ask for the aid to give me water and suction. Still, I did not complain or say anything. I noticed he was very rude to his female staff, too. He talked down to his aide. It really offended me to hear him talk down as if she is a slave to his authority. To be honest, I've never encountered a dentist so heartless or incompassionate. 40 years of heavy dentist work and zero problems with any dentist and John tells me I have to go somewhere else because I'm too difficult to work on. If you choose this dental facility... avoid John Gallagher at all costs. Unless you just enjoy abuse with lack of compassion. I never leave review... especially negative ones. I always believe in finding the best in everyone. Unfortunately there was no goodness in John Gallagher. I'm very hurt by his approach and lack of compassion.

If you think you can walk into this business and actually pay those advertised prices, they have already fooled you. This is a large, multi-million dollar corporation, and their business practices reflect that. I went in. I paid the $29 new patient promo fee. I made it explicitly clear that I wanted one thing: a top partial or a full top denture. That's it. No cleaning. No filling. No root canal. Nothing else. Just a top denture. They knew this. They agreed to it. So imagine my surprise when I was taken back to the office manager's desk to go over costs. That alone was a red flag. Have you ever bought a car? Do you remember being led back to the finance office while a salesperson sat across from you at a desk covered in paperwork? That is exactly what this felt like. For a denture. The woman across from me was pleasant enough. I'll give her that. I was genuinely impressed by her ability to keep a straight face when she told me, out loud, that I'd only owe $19,000. That is not a typo. Nineteen thousand dollars. For a $499 per arch denture. I audibly gasped. Then I calmly rolled my chair back, thanked her, and told her to have a nice day. She stopped me. "We could take something off here. This includes the root canal." What root canal? I never requested one. I never agreed to one. It was never discussed. She removed it. The new total: $13,000. I have the itemized printout and will show it to anyone who asks. So not only is $13,000 absurd, but they were apparently charging $6,000 for a root canal I didn't ask for, didn't need, and never consented to. It also listed 29 separate office visits. Twenty-nine. For a single top denture. I went through the itemized list line by line. I can say with confidence this is not a treatment plan tailored to me or my care. It reads like a template they run on everyone and hope no one questions. I'm questioning it. Ninety percent of what was on that list was never discussed with the dentist, never agreed to, and not applicable to my situation. And I was never given a choice of denture tier. They supposedly offer Basic, Classic, Standard, and Premium options. I wanted Basic. What appeared on my itemized list, without my knowledge or input, was Standard at $1,920. No one asked me. I was not in the room when that decision was apparently made. I will not be doing business with this company. If you choose to go, bring someone with you to the finance discussion. You will need to be assertive. This is a high-pressure sales environment operating behind the appearance of a dental office. And to Aspen Dental directly: do not respond to this with your copy-paste damage control comment. There is nothing to investigate and no customer service team to escalate this to. The only fix is changing your predatory corporate billing practices. That's it. That's the whole fix.

The treatment was presented as urgent and necessary, and the experience felt rushed and high pressure rather than cautious or exploratory. Something didn't sit right, so I sought a second opinion. That second opinion completely contradicted what I was told by Aspen. I was informed I do NOT need three wisdom teeth extracted at all. The only issue identified was a minor filling on a single tooth. The difference is not minor, it's thousands of dollars, major surgery vs. a routine filling, and significant time off work that would have been completely unnecessary! It is extremely concerning to go in for a suspected chipped tooth and leave being told I need major oral surgery, only to find out later that none of it was actually needed. Further, I have only received a partial refund for the surgery I was required to pay for up front!! I strongly recommend anyone receiving a major treatment plan or ANY care by this business to get a second opinion before agreeing to anything or providing payment. It's a scam!!

I had a bridge placed July 2025 by Dr Quinttus at Rahn Dental and it was a horrible experience. The…read moretemporary bridge placed for 2 weeks while the permanent was being made caused pain the entire time, which I told him. When I returned to remove it and place the new one I told him I was still in pain and essentially no response. He removed the temp wiped my mouth (without assessing if something else was wrong) and seated the permanent bridge; I've been in pain ever since. The next week I returned and he announced he wanted to do several root canals- to solve the pain problem, I was devastated. I had paid thousands of dollars for a bridge that has hurt to this day and he wanted to do more expensive and painful work. I've seen several endodontists who are unsure which tooth may need a root canal or if that would solve the problem. The prognosis for complete recovery and pain free status is not good and in fact could be this way the rest of my life I do not recommend this dentist or practice. They refused to refund the money for the bridge. Terrible work and customer service.

A former dentist found decay under a crown on xray. Dr Quinttus would pry the crown up at dental…read morevisits with his instruments to observe it. This is ignorant and promotes further decay. He attempted to recrown the tooth. He fractured the tooth severely during the recrown procedure $$. Because of this, Dr Quinttus caused the tooth and jaw to abscess. Dr Quinttus root canaled the tooth 4 months after the crown $$, and then pulled the tooth the very next day $$. Charging me money for each failed procedure. Dr Quinttus never took xrays during any of his procedures. I had to go through several rounds of antibiotics for the abscess, jaw surgery to remove the abscess by a surgeon, and bone grafting of the jaw by a surgeon. I also have permanent nerve damage in that area of my face. Dr Quinttus started to fill an early abscess fistula with an antibiotic to which I'm severely allergic. I had to remind and explain this allergy to him multiple times. He doesn't check your medical chart. Dr Quinttus never communicates his steps or plans of action. He performs the procedure and walks away. He has zero dental skills or communication skills, which is a very dangerous combination for a dentist. By the way, I am writing this review 9 months after Dr Quinttus extracted the abscessed tooth. Due to Dr Quinttus: I suffered jaw bone abscess, continue with severe jaw pain, continue to suffer with problems speaking, and continue to suffer from numbness of the teeth/gums/cheek/lip in that area. Due to Dr Quinttus: I had to miss several days of work. This whole episode was a nightmare. And I still suffer from his damage. Do not go to Rahn Dental! Dr Quinttus is very unskilled, very unprofessional, very dangerous, senile, and needs his license removed immediately. He and Rahn Dental are only out for money.
