I've been coming to Dr. Rosso's office for about five years, and both Natalie and Lilly have consistently been thorough, gentle, and extremely professional. What I appreciate most is the honesty: no pressure, no exaggerated treatment plans, and no "mystery cavities." Dr. Rosso and the team take a conservative, common-sense approach and explain things clearly. My first visit to this practice was several months ago for a cleaning. Although I have scheduled a second cleaning for later this month, I am undecided about whether to cancel the appointment and seek a new dentist. I came to the practice as a transfer from my dentist Dr. Lee. He left the state and his patients were referred to Aspen. I was assigned to Dr. R. I can't comment on the quality of care as this was just a cleaning, but I was mildly surprised when the dentist appeared before the cleaning and not after. I don't know if my 60 plus years of being a dental patient are atypical, but in all that time the dentist always checked out my teeth after the cleaning. OK, so maybe not a big deal. But strange. Worse, however, was Dr. R's chairside manner. Maybe he was in a hurry or having a bad morning. I can't say. However, I was stunned when he appeared, inspected my mouth and left all without as much as a "good morning". He never introduced himself to me!!!!! We had never met. I was new to the practice. Yet, he literally never acknowledged me as a person or a new patient. Honestly, I do not understand the complete breakdown of normal interpersonal skills. I wasn't expecting to swap personal anecdotes or a touchy feely discussion of feelings. However, common courtesy would dictate a greeting and a welcome to the practice. I might give them a second chance but won't give a third one unless things improve. If it were not such a hassle switching dentists, I honestly might not be returning. read more

Absolute scammers. I called multiple times to confirm that my insurance was covered by them, and they said yes every time. After two appointments, I overheard someone asking specifically if they were "in-network". I decided to ask this too and they told me they were not in-network with my insurance. I asked why on earth no one had told me that when I called multiple times to confirm I was covered. They said it is part of their business model to not disclose that particular information. It is semantics they run off of. Unless you ask specifically if you are in-network, they will lie to you. In the span of 5 minutes, this happened to both me and another customer. Clearly, they are doing this to everyone. Do not trust them. read more

I would just say that this service is unusually expensive. They charge significantly more than insurance covers for a basic cleaning (without informing the patient - which was new for me I've never had to pay out of pocket for cleaning - and their billing department will HUNT you down for that overage), they charge over $125 out-of-pocket for a consult with any of their specialists (that doesn't go towards the procedure cost), and they charge on the very high end for periodontal work (probably things like veneers as well). I know rent is high in Cherry creek, but they are definitely passing that on to the patient. read more

Never EVER trust these people. 5 years ago I had an exam here, they told me I had 7 cavities. I had no pain or sensitivity etc so I put off having them filled. In fact, I was so suspicious I quit going to the dentist altogether for 5 years. Last week I finally scheduled a cleaning and exam again at wash park dental. 5 years later with no dental work and they found 0 cavities in my mouth. 0. I previously had 2 cavities filled at Aspen (first 2 cavities of my life) and one of them ended up falling out. After that the tooth fell apart and I had to get a crown. With this new info coming to light I wonder if I had any cavities in the first place, or if this diagnosis was also an attempt to do unnecessary work for $$$. I needed a new dentist as mine retired.Aspen Dental was in the same building and I had a filling fall out, so I thought I would give them a try. I saw Dr Neal for both visits which entailed getting two new crowns. I have a real fear of getting dental work, but Dr Neal and the two assistants were wonderful. Avoid this place if you can! I recently started a new job and had an upcoming appointment and called them to make sure my new dental insurance was covered, they confirm that they take my insurance & that it's covered but don't tell me that it's out of network. I then get a bill for them for the out of network charge from my insurance, I call them to ask them to cover this because I have a voicemail from them confirming that they take my new dental insurance and failing to mention that it's out of network. They refuse to cover and tell me no one by the name of the person who left me the voicemail who works at aspen dental & that no one here would try to scam people by not telling them their insurance is out of network. Delta dental is the only insurance company that is considered in network, they told me when I called about the bill. Which would have been great to know when I called originally to see if my insurance was covered. read more

Hoity-toity practice... I went here initially to have a cleaning done around 2 years ago. The customer service and professionalism went downhill with time. At my last visit the dentist said my teeth were dirty and needed to be cleaned... my last cleaning had been with their practice 5 months earlier. They were also incredibly rude/ unprofessional when I changed an appt to have a painful tooth checked, rather than a cleaning. Both the dentist and staff made a big deal about it, put notes in my chart that I wasn't allowed to have my teeth checked next time, etc. Needless to say I have gone to a new dentist where shaming the patient and blaming the patient aren't part of the "bedside manner" ‍ read more

This review is a long time in coming. It has been quite a year for me. I had gum surgery, filling, dental cleaning . I will give you a back story , as a child i was on medication that ruined the color of my teeth and softened my teeth so I have had so much Dental work!! My Dentist Retired during Covid. Dr. Noce did the gum graph , removed skin from the top of my mouth . I am still in pain and although it looks better it is not much better. I paid around $10,000 dollars. Dr. Neal filled two cavities and before I knew it drilled off a cap , when I asked her why she did not try to save my cap she said they had changed the glue for caps and the new glue would not hold !!!! I would 100% recommend Aspen dental and seeing Dana as your hygienist! Dana was the best dental hygienist I have ever worked with. She did a few things that especially stood out. She overall was very aware of what it feels like to be the patient and in the dentist's chair. She didn't make me hold my mouth open too wide or for too long, always making sure to pause so I could rest my jaw and stay comfortable. She explained things very clearly throughout the visit without being overwhelming. She was completely nonjudgmental. Overall she was really encouraging and it seemed like she really loves her job. I have been going to Aspen Dental for over 10 years. I found this dental office from the 5280 Magazine as it mentioned that Dr. Nishimura was one of the top dentists in the Denver area. Dr. Nishimura and his team were so caring and even though I would only go every 6 months for a cleaning, my dental hygienist, Cathy, was a delight. I actually looked forward to seeing her every 6 months, if you can imagine that! Dr. Nishimura was a great dentist and also a great human being, who actually remembered who you were and asked how you were doing. Like some other Yelp reviews that have been mentioned previously - after the change in ownership, this establishment has gone DOWNHILL. I DO NOT recommend at all. They are the complete opposite of what I experienced with Dr. Nishimura and his team. It looks as though there has been a lot of turnaround in employees and dentists as I see a new face every time I am there. Honestly, I couldn't even tell you who my actual dentist is at Aspen Dental, since they leave by the time I return! I've had a horrible experience with a dental hygienist (who is no longer there), who was extremely aggressive with the cleaning, and berated/threatened me for not flossing. Come on, I'm an adult. I know that I should be flossing more than I currently do, but no one deserves to be treated like a piece of dirt. I wanted to stop going to Aspen Dental at that point, but my 10 years of being a loyal patient made me come back. I primarily go to the dentist for a cleaning every 6 months, since my insurance covers it. I never had to pay a dime until the change in ownership. I don't understand why I have to pay if my coverage hasn't changed. Because it was an additional $6, I never thought to question it. I guess that's my fault for not bringing it up. I just got my teeth cleaned by a new dental office last week, and I didn't have to pay at all. I guess Aspen Dental likes to nickel and dime you. I have recommended many patients to Aspen Dental in the past, but going forward, I will tell people to steer far away. read more

It's the first time in a visit to a dentist that I've received overall health screenings like blood pressure, and oral cancer screening. It's very comforting that they do this. I used to fear going to the dentist as my teeth are very sensitive and cleanings were painful. Make an appointment to get your teeth cleaned with dental hygenist Dana and she'll take great care of you. She is so gentle and caring and is guaranteed to greet you with a smile! Recently switched to Aspen Dental after experiencing some not so fun times with a chain dentist office. My experiences has been nothing short of excellent starting from the minute you walk in the door. Alli, who works the front desk, always greets me with a smile and is prompt to answer my immediate questions and concerns! I got plenty (but not too many that it was annoying) of reminder texts and emails so I did not forgot my appointment. My hygienist, Jamie, was thorough while understanding no one wants to spend anymore time at the dentist than they have to! I had to have a couple different procedures done and Dr. Turner has been amazing! She explains everything and is truly enjoyable to chat with! I was able to schedule with them because they have Saturday and evening hours, which I greatly appreciate! Just don't go here. It makes me so sad to have to write this review. What used to be a GREAT dental practice has changed hands and now is terrible. I've gone to Aspen Dental for over two decades. Dr. Nishimura was an honest, quality dentist and his staff were professional and friendly. I started with Dr. Nishimura in his small office, and moved with him when he opened his new location (the current location). About two to three years ago, Dr. Nishimura retired and sold his practice to these dentists. I continued with the new practice, trying both Dr. Barrett and Dr. Sales several times. The office is gorgeous and centrally located in Cherry Creek North. It's actually 1/4 block from my house, so it was super convenient. The front desk staff is good and my cleanings are fine. Unfortunately, that's all I can say. Every time I've gone in since Dr. Barrett and Dr. Rossow bought the business, they've tried to pressure me into unneeded work. The first time it happened, I didn't happen to have the extra cash to have the work done, so I figured I'd put it off a bit. Well, guess what? When I went in six months later for my next cleaning they told me I needed completely different work done, and didn't even mention the issue from the previous visit. I know it sounds crazy, but I continued with them for another year just because it was close and I didn't have the time to find a new dentist (I never had any of their recommended extra work done). At both cleanings, they recommended more specialized work and each time it was something different. Because I was a private pay customer they would send me into a small room after my exam where they had a high-pressure sales lady trying to talk me into paying for the work. Their final recommendation was to have a supposedly damaged amalgam filling taken out. They told me there was likely an infection and would need a root canal and a crown. I was really concerned but was so skeptical after all of the weird recommendations (plus I had no pain what so ever) that I went for a second opinion somewhere else. My new dentist found absolutely nothing wrong with my teeth and gave me the exact same information that Dr. Nishimura had been giving me for years. My teeth are in great condition and the dental work from my childhood is holding up just fine. Yes, I have two amalgam fillings, but they are both in fine condition, I don't have an infection or need a root canal/crown!!! He showed me with photos why my fillings are fine for right now and probably will be years to come. He told me that he still has several amalgam fillings still. If I had listened to Dr. Barrett and Dr. Rossow, I'd have had many unnecessary procedures to the tune of thousands of dollars!!! I don't know if they just need to make more to pay off dental school, the cost of buying the practice or if they're just incompetent dentists. Whatever it is, it's terrible. If you take a look at the other 1-2 star reviews, you will find that a bunch of people are having the same issues. Don't be fooled by a pretty office. Find a dentist that will provide the excellent care you need and deserve without tricking you into getting unneeded work. read more

Had a small cavity fixed. Left office with swollen face and lips and burns and blisters in my mouth. Went back next day and dentist said I must have bitten myself! Blisters the size of silver dollars that I gave myself?? Saw the review about them never looking you in the eye--First time I went the dentist never came out from behind the chair. Never saw him. Short Version: Aspen dental looks great and everyone there is friendly but after multiple failed fillings and financial errors I have gone elsewhere. Long Version: My first visit to Aspen dental was more than a year after my previous dentist visit, so I was not surprised to hear I had 4 cavities even though nothing was hurting. They quoted me a low amount "because my new dental insurance with my employer was so great". The next day I came back and got my fillings which took 2-3 hours. A few days later things started to go south. I got a bill for much more than the amount I was quoted, I called to confirm and they said that the amount quoted was for a different level of insurance than I have and I was responsible for the full amount. I ended up paying the higher amount since there was nothing I could do about it. Then my fillings started hurting and it took 2 visits and 2 replaced fillings to get the pain to settle down but not completely go away. At a future visit I told them about this pain and they just recommended another toothpaste. They also found another cavity which I got quoted for and had them double check the amount due to the previous quoting error. Sure enough the next week I got a bill for more than the amount I was quoted. Due to continued pain and the financial errors, this week I visited a new dentist who told me all 5 fillings are failing at 8-20 months old and I had to pay to have all of them replaced. read more
