After a terrible experience at another practice I didn't go to the dentist for over a year. I knew I needed to get back in and somehow I heard about Fainberg and booked an appointment. They fixed the cavity that had been poorly filled by the other practice and had turned into a needed root canal. The procedure was very easy and Dr.Fainberg is actually pretty funny. Made the whole procedure an enjoyable one. I've come back for a cleaning since and will continue to come back to this practice. I got a call a year ago from this dentist stating I needed to come in for my cleaning. Never have seen this dentist. They were very adamant about me coming in via calls, text. I finally called and asked when I was last seen, speaking to Mariia. She stated 2014. Mariia, very nice lady, tried to get me in as a past patient. I declined. It's 2025 and I have never been there nor know this doctor. Yesterday (October 2025) I started getting texts again from Mariia, this time "inviting" me to a check up or professional cleaning. First, I don't know how this office got my details, but I am very cautious now of dentists since one was caught putting stuff in my mouth that shouldn't have been there. When they say I was in their office and never have been, have my personal details, that's not normal and a big "no thank you." They have repeatedly lied about and/or failed to mention costs associated with services. They are frequently pushing for services that don't appear to be necessary and aren't covered by insurance. Office staff and dental hygienists don't seem to actually communicate and share different information when asked. I saw a dentist my first appt and haven't seen in over a year since. They don't even bother checking in on anything they mentioned the one time I saw them. Often times the customer service is lacking. The turnover rate seems kind of of high. There always seem to be new people and, in my opinion, they don't always know what they're doing. At my last cleaning a few weeks ago while I was waiting to be seen, a female who was on the same side of the counter as me saw me and went behind the counter to the computer and just looked at me and said "no insurance?" No greeting, smile, or anything at all. It was my first and only interaction with her. I once had a front desk person yell at me over the phone and hang up and eventually she didn't work there anymore. I have been in the chair having my teeth examined and have listened to the office drama literally in the small room I'm in with the dental hygienist and the doctor. It's bizarre. Your patients can hear you. I have also witnessed the doctor treating some of his staff in a very condescending, unprofessional manner several times as well. I mean, do what you need to do but don't do it in front of your patients. It's strange and uncomfortable. Because I go for just two cleanings a year, I forget about these things once I exit the office. However, once I step foot back into the office for my next appointment and there is almost always something strange (for a dentist office) that happens, I question if it's the best dental office for me to go to. Then I finish my appointment again and leave and basically forget about it until the next time I'm there lol.. It's a cycle. Good prices and location. Definitely not the best experience. Had to make a second dental appointment for another dentist. The dental assistant made it very clear I needed to get my wisdom teeth out and I figured but I should have checked that the doctor reviewed and agreed but he did not. I was scheduled and ready to come in and do the procedure but got a call less than 24 hours before from the doctor saying that I didn't need to get them removed? I tried calling back and asking for him to call me. He did around 8 o clock at night saying he would call the next day... never did though. I've been a patient since 2020 and even referred a family member. I'm switching to another Dentist. When I pay $167 out of pocket for a cleaning and Dr. Fainberg doesn't have the decency to see me at the end, it's disheartening. Sending in the dental hygienist stating he's a Doctor is even more disrespectful and rude. Guess I've become one of those patients who suck your energy I've heard you talk about with your assistant while having my crown replaced. Not the experience I was hoping for. I've been looking for a new dentist. A dentist to last me the rest of my life. A dentist in the neighborhood. One Dentist to Rule Them All. (I have a few implants in my future. And want to start getting frequent and regular cleanings) Got a postcard in the mail. Called to make an appointment. Until I get to know them, all I wanted was a routine check-up and cleaning. The girl on the phone was lovely and accommodating! Made the appointment for a check-up and routine cleaning with no issue. Showed up, and the girl at the front desk was warm and efficient. Got all my insurance info and medical history taken care of. She confirmed that I was there for a routine check-up and cleaning. Things were going swimmingly!! The hygienist took me back and got x-rays done, and checked out my mouth. She explained that I have some places of concern, and that I would need root planing and a deep clean. I replied that I was aware, and was familiar with the procedure, but that for now I just wanted a routine cleaning. And that if things went well, I would be back for a deep cleaning, as well as preliminary discussions re a couple implants. She explained that my insurance would cover the deep cleaning. (which felt suspiciously like an effort to up-sell me) I replied, that for now I simply wanted a routine cleaning, and we would re-visit the root planing at a later date. She was insistent, and explained that it would use topical anesthetic. I said I was familiar with the process, but I was really only interested in a routine cleaning. She explained that the root planing wouldn't take long, and I would be on my way in no time, and again, I explained that I was only interested in a routine cleaning. She assured me that there was no "recovery period." I held my ground and told her - FOR THE EIGHTH TIME - (!!) I just wanted a ROUTINE CLEANING. At this point it was starting to feel like the beginning of a horror movie. She explained to me (as tho I were an idiot, and unfamiliar with TEETH) that after the deep cleaning I could go about my day as usual, and that it wouldn't impede eating or any tasks. I cast an interior heavy sigh. Removed the paper spit bib, collected my belongings and ran away. As I fled thru the waiting room, the nice girls at the desk chirped "Have a Nice Day." I'm sad. I must now continue the hunt for a dentist. read more

I was just in to get a cleaning today and they were 20 minutes late in seeing me, the last time I was there they were half an hour late on seeing me. But I still had the cleaning but they rushed me through, 20 minutes later they said they did something special and my insurance can only cover part of it because it was more than a cleaning. They did not do anything special , matter fact I think they pushed me through quicker because they were running late.
