Okay, I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience here was definitely terrible. Office staff and the hygienists were amazing, but the dentist that injected the local anesthesia ended up cutting my cheek up and it resulted in a giant canker sore that's right by my extraction site. My extraction is healing perfectly. I can't open my mouth because that canker sore hurts so bad and it rubs against my back teeth. Good for emergencies, if you can handle giant canker sores. read more

I used Aspen because it was in network. I made an appointment, showed up on time. They cancelled my appointment because they said they called several times to confirm and even left VM. There was nothing on my phone. I get my scans, I got my estimate and ask them to send the scans to my other dentist. They never did. The other dentist called, left messages.... nothing, I talked to another dentist office and they said Aspen doesn't know how to send emails or respond. very unprofessional read more

Absolute scam, would not recommend to anyone. Unfortunately this was the ONLY place I could go on the insurance last year. Went in for exam/x-rays to be told I needed 4k worth of "strip and scaling". Per other dentists at real practices, Aspen tells everyone this as their staff works on commission based sales/services. I refused, went to a reputable local dentist and needed nothing more than a basic cleaning. After the fact, Aspen sent me a bill for $100 despite both my insurance covering a yearly cleaning/exam/x-rays. That and the fact their giant signs on the window advertising free exams and x-rays. Had no choice to pay their extortion as my other option was ruining my credit over these hacks. One of the worst businesses I've ever had the displeasure of being forced to deal with. read more

I went here for a check up a few weeks ago for tooth pain. They got me in quick and the paperwork was relatively easy. I went through the X-rays which was fine, the tech was very nice. Then I waited to see the doctor. He was condescending and tapped very hard on my tooth that had pain in it. Told me I needed to have 5-6 procedures on my mouth. Hygienist told me I have periodontal disease. The cost of all these were stupid. So I called another dentist office for a second opinion and went to get my X-rays. These people cannot even print X-rays right! I felt so bad for the other dentist and was hoping I wouldn't have to have more X-rays. Turns out I only really need 3 things done and don't have periodontal disease. Be wary, the other dentist said a lot of people come to him with a periodontal diagnosis and do not have it. read more

In my opinion, Aspen Dental is very unorganized. My first visit was the basic x-rays and questionnaire. She said I needed to have a tooth cap refilled and it would cost $178. She asked me twice if I was able to pay for this procedure and if I had any questions. The computers were down and the lady said SHE WOULD call me. A week later I called and left a message with no return call. After a few more calls I finally was able to speak to someone who scheduled my appointment. I confirmed the date and time and about the procedure that was going to take place. I went to my appointment time and had to wait 20 minutes before they called me back. They did my cleaning but not the procedure that was scheduled b/c it was't on the schedule for the day. Very disappointing that they don't honor appointment times or call backs, schedules. I received a crown from Aspen Dental on May 29, 2019. My crown fell out and broke in two on August 17, 2019. I paid out of pocket costs of $900 for this dental work, in addition to what my insurance covered. I called today and Aspen Dental will not offer any guarantee on their work. I could come in and schedule another appointment and pay for another crown. This crown lasted less than 3 months and was very expensive. This is unacceptable! read more

I'm only giving 1 because I have to. I'd really give a 0. I had a root canal at aspen in Findlay ohio. Catherine Calderon performed it. When she finished she said she also filled a tooth while she was in there. WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I don't think I even had a cavity. She said she wasn't going to charge me for it though. Well it's been 2 months and they keep sending me bills for it. I've tried talking to the manager and the front desk ladies and they won't do anything about it. They've been nothing but rude and disrespectful to me. I will continue to fight it. Catherine Calderon should have never done anything to me without my permission. GREAT, place have everything there for the consumer, but lack billing experience and charges are excessive as i have been told by others, my opinion and delta dental representative they cost me 1400 bucks knowing my benefits had run out at the end of year,my bill according to my rep would have been around 140.00 bucks in the new year, now i am stuck with 1400. bucks for there ineptitude, bad place to do business with, billing lady changes her mind on charges looking at the computer, bad deal for the consumer !! read more

I am writing AGAIN about the lousy experience I had with Aspen. I was supposed to meet with the owner 6/18/19. I received an appointment conformation via email and verified my appointment. I got there and sat for a 1/2 hour. I was finally called in and ended up speaking with the office manager. She told me she makes calls on Tuesdays and that the owner wasn't in until Wednesdays. She basically told me I came in on the wrong day and that she didn't have time for me because she was too busy. She wanted to know what 'my problem was'. I told her I was refused treatment to have my teeth cleaned. She told me that they wouldn't just clean until I had the deep cleaning done because it would push bacteria into my gum line. (I supposedly have periodontal disease). I told her I don't believe in deep cleaning and merely wanted my teeth cleaned. She said that they can't do it because of the liability. I told her I would sign a liability waiver form just to get my teeth cleaned. She refused. I then asked her why I was billed months later for x-rays. She said my insurance wouldn't cover the panoramic x-rays I had. I asked her why they were done if they knew my insurance wouldn't cover them. She couldn't give me an answer. I said that as the office manager that she should be familiar with what different insurance companies cover. She rebutted with saying the bill was written off and that she wouldn't do that anymore. I explained to her that I worked in a pharmacy for years and had to know about all the different insurance companies I worked with, what was covered and what wasn't. What makes her exempt of that same knowledge? She was very unpleasant during my short period of time with me. (She was too busy because she had to make her phone calls). I asked twice for my records, with no satisfaction. As she was ending her time with me, I had to ask for my records again!! I stood there until she finally gave them to me. Very poor, unorganized customer service! I will never go to Aspen Dental again! P.S. I was forced to rate Aspen before I could post this. My actual rating would be a negative 6!!!!!!! read more
