ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I had a plan for removal and dentures. On the morning of the surgery, they wanted to pull 12 teeth with only shots. EVEN AFTER BEING TOLD THAT NEVER WORKS FOR ME! I was sent to another Oral surgeon and had to pay $1800 on top of ASPENS $3000! Dentures never fit proper. After rubbing blisters on my gums, I gave up. Went to another dentist! read more

I had two teeth pulled. Within 3 days I was in excruciating pain. Real long story short - I went to maxiofacial in lexington and got the damage - and it was in fact damage- fixed. The surgeon there said basically "look one medical professional is as a rule not going to bad mouth another- but this is pretty bad work" Enough said. read more

They will rip you off. Be aware that the price that they quote you is meaningless. In two instances, after having already paid an agreed upon total, they sent me additional bills over a year after service requesting more money and even threatening collection. Update: 08/29/2022 A month 1/2 after having my bridge finished I was just sent another bill for $45 randomly. It doesn't detail what this charge is for. The only reason I know about this is because someone who moved into my old apartment just notified me about it. This entire situation regarding hidden fees, and blatantly lying to me about the cost of the procedure and sending me bills almost 2 months after my final appointment just shows how disgusting Aspen Dental is as a company. Having been lied to twice regarding not receiving any more bills from them, I am done with this business and have cancelled my upcoming appointments. I can't believe a company this large lies and pries on people in need. Older Review: After about 5 appointments I feel I can finally write a review about this place. I want to start off by saying Dr. Gates the Dentist and Dallas the Dental Hygienist are amazing and do their jobs well. I originally came into Aspen to recement a crown that had fallen off, but after Dr. Gates looking at it he recommended I get a bridge due to there not being enough tooth to hold onto the crown anymore. After getting a deep cleaning and a pre-gingivitis treatment done with Dallas that went amazing, I was scheduled for my bridge prep which also went well, and he created a decent looking temporary while we waited on my permanent one to come in from the lab. I finished having my permanent bridge placed on today, so we'll see how it goes over the next few months etc.. My issue and the reason I give Aspen Dental/this location as a whole a 2/5 is because when I originally paid everything up front with the assistant I was told repeatedly that I wouldn't be charged for anything else, and that anything that came up from the second I paid before any of my appointments they would cover. However, when I arrived today after being called yesterday to confirm my appointment, and driving 2 hours to Frankfort I was told I had to pay another $86 fee. They never notified me before I got there, and I barely had enough to pay for this amount after already paying around $2,000 originally which is already outrageous pricing. The fact that I was blatantly lied to by the staff who took my payment is disrespectful and makes me think that all that Aspen cares about is the cashflow and not customer satisfaction. My husband had severe tooth pain so he called Aspen who encouraged him to come in because someone would be there til 7:30 PM. After going 30 minutes out of his way to get his teeth looked at, he arrived at around 6:00PM to find that the dentist had left for the day. They scheduled him an appointment for the next morning, which means he had to miss work, causing wage loss which could have been prevented HAD they seen him the evening prior. The next morning, they were able to go in and extract 2 teeth and he received a couple stitches. A little over a week after surgery, he's in pretty bad pain again and can feel something hard like maybe a piece of tooth or bone in that area. When he calls trying to be seen after work, they tell him no one would be there.....Ummmm, y'all did the work, y'all need to find the problem to relieve the pain. Said they could schedule an appointment causing him to miss another day of work. He's job requires some travel so because he works 1 1/2hrs from home it wouldn't compensate his gas for hours worked on same day as his appointments. for your customer care. If you have tooth pain and you don't have a dentist please find one other than Aspen. I called at 6:30 am and was happy to speak to a real person. I explained my situation and she said she could make me an appointment at 9:30 today. Great because I am in a lot of pain. I get there early and filled out paperwork. I waited until almost 10 to go back and get X-rays. Then I sat in the back and waited for a hygienist. I explained to her that I really was there to get a tooth pulled and as much as I appreciate everything I have been here for two hours and am in pain. She said she wanted to make sure I had all the information I needed to set up a dental plan. So finally the dentist comes in and was very nice and we discussed my situation and she sounded like she was gonna help me. Now it's been three hours and finally the office manager comes and gets me to go over my plan. So she says they can't extract my tooth because an oral surgeon was going to have to do it and he wouldn't be there until a week from today. I informed her that I came in because I was led to believe they could help me and now I have sat here for 3 hours and you are telling me you cannot for a week but you'd still like to have me sit and go over a dental plan. After the xrays they should have said I cannot extract your tooth. That would have only wasted an hour of my day. read more

Husband went to setup for possible dentures. Brian the manager was in a big hurry to charge for full dentures at a rate of $8000.00 -I called and ask why so much and they said how much do you have in credit to spend. My limit was $4800.00 - Brian quickly changed the price to exactly $4800.00- so why not be honest with potential patients in the first place? Needless to say.. Affordable dentures just said he doesn't need dentures like Brian at Aspen recommended. So watch out for rip off and not so reliable consultations. read more

When I moved to town and needed to find a dentist I figured I would go here as I have been to another one of their locations and had a pleasant experience. Sadly, my experience at this location was far from pleasant! To start with I attempted to use their online scheduling only to get to the end and discover that it is only useful for new patients. Weird seeing as most places are the other way around but whatever! Come the day of my appointment I get there a bit before my 10AM scheduled time and sign in on the paper at the desk. I mark that I am not a new patient but that my address and insurance has changed. The two girls at the desk never acknowledge my existence or even look my way. After a short while the X-ray tech calls me back. My X-rays are done and she places me in a room. I will say that it did not take long for the dentist and hygienist to come in, do my exam, and go over everything with me. It was after that that everything went south! Once the hygienist finished up she told me that someone would be with me shortly to go ever insurance and cost before they would get started on everything. I waited for 30 minutes before the office manager came in and told me that it would be $300+ for my X-rays, exam, and cleaning since I "do not have insurance". I quickly told her that I did have insurance and that I marked it on the sign in form but that no one bothered to ask for it. She apologized and took my ID and insurance card to run it. Another 30 minutes later I am still waiting. At this point it is almost 11:30 and I haven't had anything to eat yet. My husband tells me that I should be in a Snickers commercial because I can get ugly when I am hungry. Finally the office manager pops her head in and tells me that they are still working on pulling up my insurance benefits and should know something soon. At that point I tell her that I have had enough and am just ready to leave. She gets my cards back to me and tells me that she will give me a call as soon as she hears back about my benefits. That call never came! Two weeks later I did get a call but it was from an office attendant asking if I was ready to book the appointment for my cleaning. I let her know that I had a terrible experience when I was in last and that I would not be booking any further appointments with them. She simply stuttered and stammered before hanging up on me! The only good thing I have to say about this location is that the X-ray tech, dentist, and hygienist were all very nice. As for the office manager and the rest of the office staff, they were extremely unprofessional and caused Aspen Dental to loss both my business and my husbands. I have an appointment booked with a different dentist in town and will now have to figure out if my insurance will cover another set of X-rays and an exam or if I will need to deal with Aspen in order to get my records. read more

PATIENTS BEWARE!!! I went to see Dr. Chris Graham, to have a temporary flipper repaired. Upon picking up the flipper ,I noticed a very STRONG CHEMICAL SMELL coming from the liquid in the bag, the flipper was soaking in. I asked about the liquid was my flipper was in, and was told it was a DISINFECTANT used by the lab. The liquid the flipper was soaking in smelled like a strong chemical, and I didn't feel I should place the flipper in my mouth at all, but certainly not without washing it first. After washing it, the CHEMICAL SMELL persisted. I was again reassured that this is a common disinfectant they use DAILY. Immediately upon placing flipper in my mouth, I noticed a BITING TYPE PAIN ON MY TONGUE, MY THROAT FELT SORE AND MY STOMACH HURT AFTER A COUPLE OF SWALLOWS. I told the assistant the flipper didn't fit properly. I needed to have it adjusted. After it was taken out of my mouth I noticed the asst spray something directly on to my flipper, and I could smell the same STRONG CHEMICAL SMELL again. I looked at the bottle, and saw that the spray was called CAVICIDE. Next to CAVICIDE on the bottle the DILSOBUTYLPHENOXYETHOXY ETHYL DIMETHYL BENZYL . I read the back of the bottle and it says this item is a SURFACE CLEANER, IT IS USED TO STERILIZE EXAMINATION TABLES,LAMPS, FLOORS, COUNTERS AND MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS. I asked the assistant, and she said THEY USE THIS FOR EVERY FLIPPER/PARTIAL/DENTURE, and MANY MORE THINGS. I knew what I just read on the bottle and felt SHE HAD TO BE MAKING AN ERROR! I asked to speak with the dentist. I explained my concerns to Dr. Chris Graham and was told the same thing. They use that as a disinfectant for EVERYTHING! ...ESPECIALLY things that go INTO AND COME OUT OF PATIENTS MOUTHS. Dr Graham was adamant CAVICIDE wouldn't hurt me. I took Dr. Graham at his word...after all he is a doctor. BIG MISTAKE!!! In the process of attempting to adjust my flipper so it fit, the lab took off too much of the flipper and now the flipper was too low on my lower gums, Dr. Graham said that since the lab in fact RUINED my flipper, and made it now unwearable if I wanted to go through process of making a new flipper, he would take cost of repair, off of a new flipper. I told him I didn't feel like a I had a choice, as my flipper that required a simple repair, is now 100% UN-USABLE . Later that night I am at home and I am still FEELING ILL WITH A SORE THROAT, and NOW I HAVE SORES ON THE SIDE OF MY TONGUE, THE SAME AREA I FELT THE BITING PAIN ,ON MY TONGUE EARLIER AND MY STOMACH IS STILL BOTHERING ME. Feeling worried I called the POISON CONTROL CENTER. I was told what I suspected all along. This spray CAVICIDE is for use DISINFECTING anything EXCEPT inside the mouth or anything that goes into the mouth. It is a CATIONIC DETERGENT, it is ALKALINE CORROSIVE. It is a SURFACE CLEANER and it is TOXIC and too HARSH to put on anything that goes IN THE MOUTH, as it will be ABSORBED into the item, then you will absorb some INTO your body AND BECOME SICK. POISON CONTROL said Dr. Chris Graham was MIS-USING this product, and I should REPORT HIM AND HIS OFFICE TO THE BOARD OF HEALTH. I called Dr. Graham to inform him of my conversation with The POISON CONTROL CENTER and he was adamant that the POISON CONTROL CENTER is wrong. He then says to me" he is unsure how he could use this DAILY on SO MANY PATIENTS and he hasn't heard of anyone having any issue like mine" I say to Dr. Graham "there could be a couple possible reasons for this". "First maybe no one put it together, Maybe they thought it was from something else? Maybe they TRUSTED HIM, just like I did ,to not be RECKLESS WITH THEIR HEALTH AND NOT USE PRODUCTS THAT ARE TOXIC." Dr. Graham then said to me, that he wasn't going to "RISK HIS LAB GUYS SAFETY",by NOT using this CAVICIDE! I asked why then he would RISK HIS PATIENTS SAFETY, since he is PUTTING THIS TOXIC CHEMICAL IN OUR MOUTHS? Dr. Graham then said he thought I should find another dentist, and hung up on me. As if he needed to tell me that. I will post this truthful review of my experience with Dr. Chris Graham from Frankfort KY Aspen Dental, and his staff as many places online as possible as well as report him to the Better Business Bureau as well as the BOARD OF HEALTH. If Dr Graham is doing this with this product, what else could he be doing that is HAZARDOUS to his PATIENTS HEALTH? and JUST LIKE WITH POISON CONTROL ... no one can convince him HE IS WRONG! If he didn't know before POISON CONTROL told him HE IS MIS-USING CAVICIDE and HURTING HIS PATIENTS!...Dr Chris Graham certainly knows NOW...but chooses to do what he wants RECKLESSLY! Please there are MANY dentists to choose from, THINK TWICE before making an appointment with this RECKLESS AND UNCARING DENTIST...then FIND ANOTHER DENTIST! I live in Richmond but my wisdom teeth were so painful I scheduled with Frankfort because they could get me in sooner. My appointment was at 8:30 so I got there at 8, just in case. Around 8:40 I was informed that he was running a bit behind but I was the next patient in line. I was called back at 9:05. Dr. Jae Ho Kim (I believe he travels between Aspen Dental offices as their oral surgeon) performed my surgery. He was so pleasant and apologized for the delay. He quickly took my vitals and prepped me for surgery. Christen joined him and discussed with me how everything would happen. Within literally 5 minutes of my IV sedation I was out. I woke up pain free and I don't remember a single moment of the surgery. Christen took me out in a wheelchair because I was still a bit groggy and waited outside with me until my family got back, they had left to eat because they thought it would take longer than it did. She gave my prescriptions to my mom and made sure she understood when I needed to take them and a few post op tips. It was 10:05 when I got in the car. I've been pain free all day and my bleeding was easily controlled. I had such a lovely experience here. I've heard wisdom teeth removal can be traumatic, but they made sure I was comfortable and they took care of me. Thank you Dr. Kim and Christen! read more

"Car Salesmen for Snags" Needed a new dentist so decided to try this place since it was close and new. First, I should have had my wisdom teeth removed years before I did and knew I may have problems but when the dentist examined a back molar and said that HALF of my tooth would have to be removed to fix the erosion I freaked. And they don't do and sedation either and I am a chicken. So needless to say I got a second opinion and did not need to lose half a tooth, only a small area was drilled away for a filling with a little gas to chill me out that took about 30 minutes total with a dentist I would say went to a REAL DENTAL SCHOOL. I would call these places "Dentist in a Box." Probably for those that didn't do very well hands on and couldn't get picked up by an office so they ended up in a strip mall. Not to say my dentist wasn't nice but it was almost like the reviewer before me said. Quoting prices, checking insurance, come back for this, no we can't clean today even though no one is in the office and you have x-rays and yes, I get you don't know why you are here but step into this office and let's see what we can wheel and deal and get you the best price for. read more

I went to this office because it was closer to my work. I had a specific complaint about a sensitive toot with a cavity. They too about a dozen xrays of all my teeth and then I saw the dentist. After checking my teeth, the dentist pointed out some other dental problems I had, which is true and seemed to be trying to steer me to a major dental overhaul. I told them I wasn't interest in that today and just wanted my cavity filled. At first she wouldn't admit I had a cavity, but did when I pressed her. She wouldn't say she would fill the tooth when I asked her to. I then asked for another dentist and talked to the owner. He said they did comprehensions dentistry and would not answer a yes or no question on whether they would fill my tooth. I walked out. Got an emergency visit scheduled for today here in Frankfort KY- Jett town area since my regular dentist were closed because its a Saturday and I was very unsatisfied. I had originally thought that my family and I might switch to Aspen dental but my 1st visit will be my last. I had gotten the visit because I had been in unbearable pain for a week and unable to eat or sleep while also taking care of my newborn baby and my three other children. They were very unclear about pinpointing the actual problem I had going on and said I'd need a tooth extracted. That I would have to have a oral surgeon do it and sent me home to sit in pain for however long till I can get it taking out. Which who knows how long that could take or the fact that they're closed all weekend. Then they said well you can just go to a surgeon in Lexington if you can't get in soon in Frankfort, like it was no big deal but little do they know that my husband works day shift and that I wouldn't be able to have him take off work with four kids to drive me around a area I'm not familiar with. That I'd have no choice but to stick with Frankfort and prob. wait in pain. They didn't seem to care if I liked the place or how I felt. I got the impression they could careless that maybe moneys all they care about. So yeah I would not recommend this place... there's much better places in Frankfort. read more
