I don't usually write reviews like this, but this experience meant more to me than just getting dental work done. Before I even walked into Aspen Dental in Greensburg, I sat in my Jeep and had a moment. It's been a long road just getting to that appointment--mentally, emotionally, and in life. But from the second I walked through the door, Brooklyn greeted me with kindness that felt genuine not forced, not rushed. Just human. And in that moment, that mattered more than anything. Dr. Cignetti and the rest of the team carried that same energy all the way through. Every single person I interacted with treated me with respect and empathy. Not once did I feel like "just another patient." And that's what stands out the most, empathy. They didn't just do their jobs... they understood that people walk in carrying things you can't see. And they met me with patience, respect, and care every step of the way. What could have been a stressful, overwhelming day turned into something I'll actually remember for the right reasons. If you've been putting something off, if you're anxious, or if life's just been heavy, this is a place where you'll be treated like a person, not a number. Horrible! The tech doing my xrays the first time I was there raced to do it as fast as she could. I was impressed by her speed but not the pain I felt when the mouth thing hit my teeth. I had a broken tooth turned into a crown(big mistake. Don't do it!) The crown became infected and killed my tooth (so they said). I had the tooth extracted. It was still infected. I endured the needle injection of novacaine which was outright torture. I was tortured. read more

Cignetti,should be barred from dentistry.i went in for a root canal,and he drilled,until my tooth broke.then he said,it broke.then he said if you would have gone to the referral I gave you,then he would have given you the root canal,and you would be good.cignetti wants your teeth destroyed,so he can give you implants.he is a total piece of garbage.stay away from Aspen dental,in gbg,pa.had a root canal done by him before,and he used a drill for the whole root canal.ended up loosing that tooth,also.hes a butcher,for sure.try to cover up reviews,also. read more

This was an emergency first off. When I told them I only wanted the tooth causing issues they said if I didn't get a full set of x rays if I needed to come back I would have to start the process all over again. After being recently seen at Pitt Dental Center (school) and being x rayed and previously seen at my current DMD was never told I needed extractions or bacteria etc. Yet here the dentist pointed to things saying post and cap were not possible. Bunch of antibiotic treatment that of course is not covered. I was told by both the hygienist and the dentist they were prescribing antibiotics and pain medication for this tooth that needed to be extracted. I went to the ER the night before. They called in a antibiotic that isn't even as strong as what the ER prescribed. The pharmacist at Rite Aid told me there's no point in taking what Aspen Dental prescribed. I plan on showing my dentist their x rays and what Aspen Dental claimed. It's odd their reviews are almost five stars out of several hundred reviews. Yet yelp gives a much different perspective. I will be following up this review with feedback from my primary dentist. They also wanted to place a strong antibiotic in powder form into the gum lines to fight bacteria yet they don't prescribe the stronger of two antibiotics to take. They are not great with implants ! Took me 3 1/2 years to get my new implants and they still are not correct!

The staff are so nice and helpful. I've been going to them for years and I'm very pleased with all of the work I've had done so far.

As far as the dentists go, I have had no problems with either myself of my daughter. The hygienists are pleasant and the doctors have always accommodated for my daughter being afraid of needles. The biggest problem is the wait; on multiple occasions we have waited for over an hour to get out of the lobby and be seen. Once we waited in the dentist's chair for over an hour while my child grew more and more anxious. It might be more acceptable if the expectation was set and they let us know they were running late either by calling or physically coming out in the waiting and letting us know, especially the time we sat in the chair waiting. That's just poor communication and patient care. Hopefully they step up their game a little and implement a system for letting patients know. read more

This place is a scam. I tried to get a simple cleaning covered for free under my Aetna DMO. Been difficult to get scheduled at my prior dentist because of pandemic. I switch to this place. First they say you need an exam first and then you have to come back for the cleaning! I already had X-rays elsewhere and know I don't have cavities. I submit to the 15-20 X-rays. The dentist looks in my mouth for 2-3 minutes and said ok I see some minor gingivitis. We will schedule procedure for that. And go figure - no cavities. He doesn't even mention that I grind my teeth. I mention to him while exiting. And he goes yeah I saw that but nothing you can do to reverse that. I respond "you can wear a mouth guard at night to prevent further deterioration". He agreed. But never even mentions the condition to me. I have to point out to him. I should mention this dentist did not seem educated as well. I go to front desk to schedule the cleaning. They tell me their computers are down and they will call me. They call me and say they can't just give me a cleaning as covered by my insurance. I have to do the gingivitis treatment as well and it will be $300 out of pocket. I laughed and hung up the phone. Bear in mind I had been assured multiple times I would get the cleaning on the second visit if I subjected myself to a separate visit for x-rays and exam first. Way to fulfill your simple commitment upfront! Run far away from this fast food of dentistry. Orin Scrivello DDS was more professional with Seymour Krelborn! With this business model to disregard client needs and try to rack up fee volume, they will be out of business in no time and dropped from major insurance providers. Will resolve itself if everyone gives the feedback. This place wasted my time and I'm not happy about them. Probably some nice assistants working there too. I feel bad for them. They should quit and work for a real company. read more

I have been a patient at Aspen Dental in Greensburg PA for a few years now. Because I have no insurance, I was thankful in the beginning that they were an option, however, I have not had a great deal of satisfaction from either of the dentists that I have dealt with. I can not fault the office personnel, assistants or hygienists because they are all very nice and the office itself is immaculate! After 3 attempts to have an upper denture made, which still is not quite right, a few x-rays, several cleanings with extra "treatments", one filling, a whitening kit, a rechargeable toothbrush I never really asked for and a nearly $4000 bill, I was beginning to feel like I made a mistake. I could be paying for dental insurance and then some with what I pay their 3rd party financing company every month. Be forewarned that they are pricey, in my opinion, and like to point out things that you had no idea were wrong with your teeth until you sat down in the chair. This week was the final nail in the coffin! I had 2 extractions and I have never been through so much pain and trauma in all of my years of having dental work done! The entire situation was handled poorly and was absolutely uncalled for! Dentist decided to take on one of the extractions that clearly an oral surgeon should have performed, which is what I asked for when I made the appointment. That request was ignored even though there is an oral surgeon listed on their roster. I am going back to my previous dentist later this week to make sure everything is okay and whom diagnosed my problem to begin with, suggested the oral surgeon (and why, in plain English), and put me on an antibiotic when Aspen could not fit me in to their schedule initially. I certainly will not recommend Aspen to anyone and they will never miss me with all of the people that they entice through their doors. I am happy for those who have had a good experience with them, but, as for me...NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! read more

I went to Aspen dental in 2017 for implants. They did fantastic job. Couldn't be more happy. Going to make another appointment to dental implants for my top teeth. Their oral surgeon is great. I had to bone reconstruction surgery, and he knew exactly what needed to be done. I wouldn't trust anyone else. You can pay cash, they offer many payment options for those who dental insurance. read more

When we first moved to the area we were told Aspen Dental was the cheapest option for those with no insurance. This was the worst mistake for my teeth. The doctor butchered 2 of my teeth which years later had to be properly fixed by another dentist. The dentistry is almost always empty with what seems to be few clients. The staff was friendly but seemed very young and inexperienced. The facility was clean, large, and very empty. read more

IF ITS AN EMERGENCY - DO NOT GO! I went to Aspen Dental, everyone was nice and everything. I got my X-ray done, was seen by a dentist that was in fact very nice. He told me I needed to get my tooth removed. I knew that and I was hoping that we could get it removed immediately. I was very hopeful that that visit would finally bring an end to my pain that I have been experiencing for a week. I was on antibiotics that literally made me sick and I needed HELP. I didn't get ANYTHING done that day, but the X-ray. They tried to push me into getting Invisalign that cost more than $3k! I JUST NEEDED MY TOOTH REMOVED. They gave me an appointment which was in a MONTH. I couldn't wait that long. They also gave me a treatment plan that I had to pay for in advance.. Why should I pay for something I didn't get done? Once I went home, I thought about it all and decided to cancel the plan. I will find a private dentist that will actually spend time with me and care about me without charging me thousands of dollars for something that I haven't gotten yet. I don't want anything to do with Aspen Dental, I don't trust them at all. It's all a scam. read more

I had my teeth examined at this place. The price they gave for some dental work I thought was outrageous. I suppose insurance company's are willing to pay these prices. I think you can get at minimum equal service and expertise from other dental practices for way less money. read more

I went in and told them I needed a tooth out. I have dental insurance, but two hours later after a series of bogus examinations, they hand me a bill for over two thousand dollars, saying I will need extensive work and since my insurance won't cover it all, I owe them a hundred dollars out of pocket. And my tooth is still there! Never again - a very crooked business. read more

Horrible. On August 22nd, 2019 at Aspen Dental in Greensburg, my boyfriend had his wisdom teeth and a broken tooth abstracted. The surgeon was careless and reckless because he ended up putting a hole in his sinus cavity and never said anything about any complications. We did not find out until he was admitted to the hospital because his face was filled with puss. He was in the hospital for 3 days and now has to under go 2 surgeries. When I called Aspen Dental on August 26th with concern of the nose bleeds and smell they told me this was normal and could last for 2 to 4 weeks. That evening he ended up in the hospital with a 102.7 fever and then transported by ambulance to Presby in Pittsburgh. read more

I went here for one issue and left with about 6 new ones. They didn't even address the tooth of mine that was in pain. While I was being looked at by the dentist, who was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable, i was basically getting a lecture for how my teeth were. He kept bringing up the costs of everything, which made me feel like he was insinuating that I wasn't going to be able to afford the care. He also was less than helpful with any question I asked. It felt like once I mentioned my family dentist that I have been going to since I was a kid, they no longer cared about me or the pain I was in. Then the icing on top of the cake. While Dr. Cignetti was doing the exam of my mouth he made a snarky comment about how I never had an orthodontist work done because I have spacing on my top row of teeth. That was always an insecurity of mine growing up but my family could not afford braces. I have just never been treated like that by a dentist. I would NOT recommend going to Aspen Dental. All they seem to care about is the money not the patient. read more

After several years of neglect, I was amazed at the fine job Dr. Cignetti and his staff did for me in a period of 1 year. The removal of my uppers went smoothly and the new denture fits nicely. Also several teeth on my bottoms were replaced with crowns and I look great and can eat just about anything I desire. Service was pain free and I'm completely pleased.
