I was totally unhappy with the service. I received veneers 2 years ago and my front took came off. I call and book an appointment and told the receptionist what had happened. Upon arrival I was handed paper work and was told the practice was sold. She then proceed to require me to pay $65.00 to see the dentist. I explained that I don't need X-ray I need my tooth fixed that I paid over $5,000 dollars for and travelEd over an hour to get there. And could she tell me where the other dentist was located. She refused to tell me and wanted $65.00 dollars. Long story short the office is nothing but a money scam because I am getting my tooth repaired for $50. Dollars. The office I went to 5770 Baum Blvd the secretary Diane was nice but Abbey the office coordinator her demeanor wasn't so nice i was willing to pay $200 for the visit of which was $238.she did not want to make accommodations for me to pay thee $38 at a later date so Ms. Diane said to her it's ok we can bill her they had me pay for a CT scan X-ray that my dentist had already done. I told the dental assistant that my dentist has the same machine and had already done this X-ray I have been charged for the same X-ray twice. Thee Endodontist was nice and very self explanatory ,in my opinion she needs to have a talk with her staff about over charging patients. read more

I did not have the same experience at Three Rivers Dental, Cranberry as some of the other patients writing reviews. I had two root canals with crowns during which I elected not to be sedated. The staff were very kind making sure I was comfortable during the entire procedure. The doctor explained the entire procedure always listing the various options available. During the procedure she (the doctor) would constantly asked me if I was okay explaining what she was doing. The same attention and care was given me when I returned to have the permanent crowns placed (and they are beautiful). I can't speak for all Three Rivers Dental locations but the Cranberry location service is top notch. read more

This is a full service Dental Clinic that does every service from cleanings to full mouth permanent dentures and everything in between. Let me start by saying that the staff was always very friendly. Over the few years I went there for various reasons I only saw the same dentist two to three times and she must have been busy as she was usually in a hurry. I had a cap on a problem tooth in 2021 which solved a problem. Approximately one year later it fell off but they quickly saw me and reapplied it. One and a half years later it totally broke off at the stem, after the examination I was informed that there was nothing they could do besides a bridge or implant with the implant costing over four thousand dollars. They said that it can happen...really? I have a cap that I've had over 20 years with never a problem. I went to check out after an already cleaning at which time they told me the amount to pay as they no longer took my insurance...they couldn't tell me ahead of time. I came here for my 4 front teeth to be re-done after breaking them in an accident. They did 3 of 4 root canals with crowns and just a crown on the 4th. All 3 with root canals have failed to where the crown and tooth broke off at gumline. Such a big waste of money. Do not go here, or any of 3 rivers places, definitely the biggest rip off. This is going to be long because there's so much that went wrong. Initially we chose this place because manager said we can get the work done in a little bit of time. So we made our initial appointment and here we are three months later and we are still not done. After many two hour long trips the dentist, today was the last straw. After the manager had managed to mess up appointment times for us twice , she apologized and said she would give us Steeler jerseys! So we were offered a bribe!!! Then once that happened we were given $10 Amazon gift cards to write a good review on Google for three Rivers Dental. I refused. We found out today that the dentist who was doing our work and who got independently paid for our work quit... without finishing any of the work he started!!! In fact the manager who was supposed to bill our insurance never did. The treatment plan was very unclear from the beginning it seemed like nobody knew what kind of work was started because the treatment plan did not specify. We gave them over $10,000 and this work is not done and neither the dentist or the manager is there any longer. They did NOT OFFER to make it right. Attention This is the full message that I received from a former employee of Larry Rudolph who owns Three Rivers Dental Group.  She responded to my reviews on Facebook regarding the unprofessional and unethical behavior toward me by Larry Rudolph. Evidently the staff at TRDG were treated in the same fashion if not worse as described by this  former employee.  Her statement reinforces my own personal reviews and that of many others. This young lady now fears for the wellbeing of herself and her family. I hope you now take my concerns seriously.  Hey I know you on't know me but I worked at TRDG for 3 months. It was a nightmare Rudolph is off his rocker. He was recording us and patients audio with consent. We had no idea. When he over heard me say it   illegal in state of pa he flew here the next day to have us sign papers saying we are expected to have no privacy at TRDG in any room. It did not exclude the bathroom so i refused to sign it he screamed and threw a hissy fit and said that I terminated myself. I left and called an attorney. I was going to press charges but I was afraid because of the whole scenario with his wife. Other coworkers were fearful for me as well so I did not pursue action. From November to January he recorded all calls and all audio from cameras in office. Private patient conversations with doctors and employee conversations. He even had a camera in break room and we were not allowed to eat. They know it was me who complained about the seriousness of the issues at work. Im getting threatened and he has my address. I live too close to the office. Im literally sweating right now. It won't matter who I talk to. He is shady and can have anyone do something to me or my family. I just had 2 root canals here. I did not even need my pain medication after the procedure. The office is very clean. Levi - the manager is very welcoming and nice. Dr. Erin was great! I used the gas and pill and slept through 95% of the procedure. Update as of 10-11-19. I went in last week to get a cap placed back on hence the review. Well just yesterday it fell out again after only being placed in for a week. I called to have it put in again, was told they would not do anything until I took down the bad review. Lol so I'm getting bullied by the office in order to get treatment? Not going to happen. She then said it was my fault because I did not follow up. Well yes I did. And she said I didn't go back during the last year and was told I have to be seen every six months? No actually that's only a recommendation and what does that have to do with a cap falling out due to the cement failing. They only take major insurances so when I lost my insurance I couldn't go back because I can not afford to pay out of pocket anymore than what I still am from the initial procedure. I will be contacting a lawyer. I paid for a service that was not done correctly. And their response was, nothing is guaranteed in dental work. Well if done correctly I would not still be having problems! 15 months ago I had a procedure done at this office. Was told it was a nerve treatment, little did I know that's a root canal, and two caps put on. My insurance did not cover it so I had to do a loan in the office to cover the cost of the procedure. I was kinda mad but was thinking maybe it's just because of who they are. So I said fine, got sedated, had issues with the crowns not fitting, not the correct color and now one came completely out. Seems to me like it should of lasted longer. So I made and appointment to be seen. The office was able to get me in the next day. Went in, they told me they needed to take xrays which didn't make sense for something that only needed recemented and then they had to do a cleaning. All of which I was not aware of. Doctor wouldn't even see me until it was done, which made me forced to do it or I wouldn't get my cap back on. So the doctor put the cap back on, went to leave and I got hit with a bill. For what? The xrays, cleaning and the recement. Really? I didn't ask for anything but the recement and the lady never told me the day before that it would cost anything. When I told the finance lady I didn't have the money she was like "I don't understand why you wouldn't expect to pay" and I said I was coming for my crown falling out after only 15 months, not xrays or a cleaning. They wanted a credit card on file and I refused, which she was very rude about. She then said what can you put on the bill, I said my last $20 because I don't have the money and you do not accept my dental insurance. I gave her the money and she stated if not paid in 30 days it goes to collections. Go ahead and send it to collections, it doesn't matter to me. Won't hurt me any. You won't see the money then. Fine by me. Meanwhile, when I called another dentist who does accept my insurance they said I shouldn't have to pay anything because it hasn't even been long enough for that cement to break down. Sounds like crappy work if you ask me. I should of known walking in there 15 months ago, when you have a loan agent in the office at the dentist that something just doesn't seem right. I was young, and dumb. I was in pain and wanted the pain to stop so I got suckered into the only dentist who was available same day 15 years ago. It's sad because I love the dentist himself and I love the owner. Dr Fammartino is amazing, and Dr. Rudolph who owns it, is amazing too. Dr Rudolph is a money pusher. I would NEVER recommend anyone to go to any of his locations. The way he practices is very unethical and I can not believe he is still in business. I've watched his doctors extract wrong teeth, root canals on perfectly healthy teeth and yell at his staff after he came back from the bar. Awful! I worked there for a Little bit, found out I was pregnant told the staff we weren't allowed to take any breaks and I was written up for taking a half day for a doctors visit. Don't call it a scam! But do realize that this is a sales driven kind of business. Dentistry is subjective; one dentist will say you undoubtedly need a nerve treatment (i.e., root canal). Another dentist will believe a simple filling will do. And you're probably like me and not an expert that would know the difference. I believe Three Rivers Dental has given me the absolute highest price service required to resolve my issue during a number of appointments and didn't realize this until my last and final appointment (I've been a customer for a few years with a number of treatments). Also, I did more research on the company, like checking the news and internet searches regarding employer reviews. It's very disappointing (i even saw one where the owner threatened someone with a lawsuit over their post) This business has very friendly staff! So of course they're going to get good reviews. But that doesn't mean they actually needed the treatment they received. This is why people say they're scammers. I think they care about me when they're taking me through the motions (e.g., cleanings, xrays) but they ignored me when it came to money In my instance, i neglected to ask to see the xrays or even ask any questions when the doctor said I needed two nerve treatments. Distraught, I went into the little business area and we arranged credit card payment and set up my appointment. On the day of my appointment, i decided to at least ask to see the xrays and ask some questions just out of curiosity (everything is convenient on their computers). I was very courteous because i felt like a hassle and embarassed for not asking questions during my first appointment. I HAD FULL INTENTIONS OF LAYING DOWN AND GETTING IT OVER WITH. I explained to my dentist and she immediately behaved as though i was trying to back out. I said "no no, i'm just trying to understand, i completely neglected to ask any questions last time and i didn't even ask to see the xrays." She answered my questions but made absolutely zero attempt at empathizing and giving me more details than i was asking for. She even rudely asked me "are you trying to back out?" I said "oh absolutely not, i called off work for this". I was using phrases like "grey area" and "shadow" to try to get her to explain like she actually cared about me (and of course they always tell you to ask questions). I felt like i was...PULLING TEETH! She ultimately offered another xray so i could get a better view, to which i obliged, but she returned to the room asking "so are we doing this?" before even offering me the xray they just took (how strange!). I asked to see the xray, she became more concerned i was cancelling, and became rude when i was asking for information. She drew the attention away from my xrays and finally said "i guess we're not doing this then, good luck finding someone that will fill that back tooth." I was standing there in shock with my bib still on. She turned and walked away, even in front of the other hygienist, who was very embarassed for me as she walked me out. it was horrible. Ultimately, the dentist cancelled my appointment on me, in front of witnesses, and then tried to keep the $580 reservation deposit. I fought this with phone calls for over a month. They stopped calling me, refused to explain, it was absolutely one of the most frustrating and appalling experiences of my life. I eventually had to go to my credit card company for help and initiated a dispute. I think Three Rivers never responded to the credit card company and were eventually charged a "charge back". I was free! I immediately got a new dentist down the road that only does fillings and small things. He sends you away to do nerve treatments and he's not sales driven. He filled both of my teeth no problem at all and i'm much happier now. My advice to you!! ASK QUESTIONS UPFRONT!! Ask many as you can! Understand their payment policies, especially circumstances you may find yourself in which are not explained in their fine print!! If I could leave negative stars I would, as they do not even deserve one star. I would not recommend this dentist at all! I called to let them know my tooth was hurting after a procedure done a week ago. No call back. My mouth swelled up like a balloon. Called again, spoke to the receptionist and she said she'd relay the message. No call back. By this time it's going on three weeks of more swelling and pain. You would think after you'd had swelling for three weeks and indicating this every time they'd do something! I ended up having a massive infection and they didn't seem to care. Very rude staff as well. They make you feel as though you're bothering them when all you're trying to do is get an antibiotic or an appointment to address your issue! They're just terrible. their process did feel rushed but I understand that Due to trying to give patients quick service. they did explain everything I didn't understand well so I could make the best decision possible but what bothered me was the customer service they will accept funds anytime of day but when it comes to a refund your treated as less than important and will have to go through hoops to get your payment it took multiple days multiple calls and then when I was assured it would be taken care of in the next morning I called that morning to be sure everything went well. it did not again with multiple calls in to the practice had to give my card information again which tells me they lost it the first time I gave it and then I was told it would be taken care of at that moment and they hung up so I waited two hours later and called in and I was told it wasn't done it would be handled at close of business. Had a crown put on last year. At my first check up I told the dentist it felt a little loose. She tugged on it a little and said youre fine. Then at my yearly cleaning I told the dentist again that it felt even more loose and they told me there is nothing they can do until it falls out. The tooth is now infected and after many phone calls and messages left - I never heard back from them! I had to go to another dentist due to the pain and infection. I now have to have the entire tooth removed. I paid a lot of money for this crown which is now useless. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I would like a refund but doubt they will ever call me back. read more

If I could give this place no stars then I would! So incredibly rude! First there is nobody else in the office but I still waited 20 minutes to be called back when they knew I was in severe pain and can barely talk. The lady taking x-rays was okay besides I dropped some change out of my coat pocket and instead of helping me pick the change up... she just stood there like she was annoyed with her back towards me. In tears and barely able to speak they asked me if I wanted a cleaning... Ummm no! I need relief, I don't need you guys to find ways to make extra money The dentist comes in and checks my teeth with a hook and a mirror. Did not numb me at all knowing how much pain I was in. He said I have an abscessed tooth with an extensive infection! Then said we will get you a referral to a surgeon then said he would order me an antibiotic. I said what about my excruciating pain? Can you not at least numb me and he said no ill order ibuprofen!!!! Say what?? No thanks I've been taking ibuprofen over the counter and don't need you to order it. Then the Tech chimed in and said once you start the antibiotics you will feel better. I told her no I won't it doesn't happen that fast because I started amoxicillin yesterday and they weren't very happy about that saying I shouldn't do that! mean while I'm a nurse and I know amoxicillin is what they would order me so I started it because it was a weekend and had no other choice. She continued to be rude about it. Then I went to the front desk to get my script which only ended up being a script for my antibiotic! s no script for a referral to a surgeon! Then once I left I was parked right in front of the building and they were all talking about me looking outside and shaking their heads all well and other patient was standing at the desk. I understand they may have drug addicts seeking pain medicine but if x-ray show you have a severe infection and you're hurting that bad they should at least give novocaine or some kind of numbing agent. I suffered with an off-and-on tooth ache for a couple weeks before it finally got so bad I couldn't just hope it went away on its own any longer. I made an appointment with the office and found I needed a root canal. And having never had my wisdom teeth removed when I was younger, they also found that I was only a couple months away from them causing me trouble as well, so we scheduled an appointment to do the root canal and extract all 4 wisdom teeth at once. I was apprehensive because I've seen plenty of people in pain for days after a procedure like that, cheeks swollen like chipmunks and dealing with dry sockets, but it literally could not have gone more easily. I couldn't believe how little pain there was afterwards--I was almost hoping I'd feel *something* just to justify my apprehension for scheduling an appointment in the first place--but to my delight I felt fine. The pain from the original toothache itself was far worse than anything I felt after the procedure. As for swelling--I don't know if I just got really lucky or what--from everything I read and heard prior to going in I expected to be swollen and puffy in the days after, but it's really no exaggeration to say I had literally no swelling whatsoever. None. No one would even have known I had my wisdom teeth removed unless I told them. I think this is a testament to the dentist's care and experience. 10/10. Please avoid this place at all costs! They have $6,800 of my money and didn't even complete the most expensive part of my work. When I first went to this place everyone was very nice and I still have no complaints about the staff. I have a discount insurance card that I purchased after being informed by their other office that this card is accepted and it also states this on their website and the insurance website. We were double talked into signing for the financing at the original price while they checked on this when I went in for my appointment. They said they weren't sure the insurance I had was accepted and I was told by Jamie (who conveniently no longer is employed there) that we could cancel the contract if the insurance didnt go through but that they needed this signed to do the work I had scheduled that day. The next day Jamie left a message in my voicemail that they would accept my insurance and to call her back. Upon returning her call she informed me that she spoke to Dr. Larry Rudolph and that they would be accepting my card. She then stated she would run everything through and call me back with a new total. She said everything would be covered but the temporary that I would need to pay full price for. She later returned my call and left a message on my voice mail that the new price would be $3,700 with the temporaries. I said that was acceptable and asked how the financing would work. She stated to me that they were already paid the $6,800 and that they would reimburse the finance company. After learning they didn't reimburse the finance company I spoke to Lisa and Rhonda who assured me that it would get done. When several more weeks went by I started to become concerned and started looking into this practice and I did not like what I found. I then called Rhonda and asked her again when they would reimburse the insurance company and informed her that I didn't feel comfortable coming in for any more appointments until the refund was issued. She later returned my call and stated that Dr Rudolph wanted me to write everything and send to an email that she provided. That was the last I spoke to them because I filed a complaint with the BBB and conveniently right after they received it I received an email from Dr Rudolph stating that I threatened his staff and I was no longer welcome on his property. ??????? I never raised my voice to the staff or threatened anyone this man is delusional. Now he's responded to the BBB stating I was seeking pain pills that I never once asked for. I called a few times in pain and specifically told the office girl I wasn't asking for narcotics just something to relieve the pain. He also stated that my husband called numerous times for them for me. He called the day I had 6 teeth pulled and was rushed out of the office because they needed the room with a prescription for Motrin and I was in tears.He states he said she needs f***ng pain pills and that I did also. ????? Neither of us use this word and this is again a lie. He also informed the finance company that services were rendered in full which is not true and is fraud and I attend to seek legal assistance if necessary. I have a call in to the DA's office and am awaiting their call and I've filed a complaint with the dental board. I have not been to a dentist in years and was too afraid to even make the call. My husband set up my appointment and I gathered the courage to be seen for an exam. After meeting the Doctor and staff, my fear started to subside. They really went out of thier way to comfort me once my husband explained my terrible fear of dentists. My wife had a procedure done in January 2015. She has since passed away, and now this group (or, rather, the financial geniuses at this group) are saying that the insurance company never received the paperwork. They are threatening to send this to a collection agency for a bill the insurance company was responsible for. Why doesn't Three Rivers Dental go after the insurance company? They may have some good and caring dentists, but the business end of the company is uncaring, unprofessional and down right deceitful. This dental office is the most unprofessional office i've ever seen. They do NOT wear gloves for procedures on patients nor do they practice any type of infection control in the entire office. On my first visit, I didn't get to talk with my dentist for as long as I would have liked. Unbeknownst to me, Dr. Anderson had rushed to the office for a patiet emergency. On my second visit, the day of my procedures, I was very nervous. The minute I walked in, I was greeted by the staff, and given my paperwork to sign, which only took a minute. I was then seated and given my medication, which relaxed me, but didn;t make me feel too sedated or fuzzy. When I was taken back to begin, I was happy to see Dr. Vicki Anderson again, She answered every question I had, and made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way. My hygienist Christine was awesome, as well. Both were very professional, but also very friendly and communicated with me throughout. I would definitely recommend this office to friends and family.
