I arrived for 9:00 am appointment at 8:50. Waited about 10 minutes and was taken in for a full mouth of x-rays. Then I was seen by the hygienist who did a gum check. Was then told the dentist would by to do a consultation. Well....2-hours later NO ONE bothered to tell me she was running late or nothing! I got up to leave and complained to someone that NO ONE AT ALL came to see me. She had me go back to the room while she went to find someone. More waiting! Then FINALLY at 11:00 the dentist came and she apologized. After her exam, they had be wait (again) for someone to come for me to discuss the financial part of the visit. They had ALREADY billed me for services that I didn't even have yet. Fortunately, my insurance was covering the visit but I refused the fluoride treatment which they told me I had to pay $18 for. I didn't want the treatment so the dentist "allowed" for it to be removed. Then I had to go back into the waiting room to WAIT again 15 minutes for the hygienist to come and get me. Disgusting!!! These people only want to rip you off! They diagnose things that a 2nd opinion proves not true. They gave me a price for cleaning including my insurance and then billed my insurance for items they knew the insurance would not pay. They NEVER informed me that they were doing work that insurance would not cover. Ultimately I was charged an additional $200+. I too, only wanted a routine cleaning. I had to wait in the office for an hour after my 1st appointment time. I would NEVER GO HERE AGAIN and encourage anyone considering them to find another dentist! read more

After going to Aspen Dental to get a new top plate replaced because my old one didn't fit, I am so disappointed. The new teeth look like I bought them as a gag from a costume store. I have been there over 8 times for wax tryin and every time they say they are going to fix them to look more natural to no avail. I moved recently so today after driving all the way back hoping beyond hope my teeth would look better. They were still comical. I came here for a routine cleaning, being new to the area. The facility was dirty and the staff was very slow. Bloody q-tips on floor, old building. after an hour wait after my scheduled appointment only dental xrays were completed. Staff not user friendly. Despite having routine dental care, they are trying to up-sale all type of services, stating that I am in desperate need of dental services. I do not recommend. I will not be back. read more

Went to Aspen in Griffin in October 2022 for implants on the bottom. And regular dentures on top. Paid over $9000. after they put the implants in they said I had to wait four months before the would do anything. First set did not fit. They would turn sideways in my mouth while trying to eat. went back for adjustments and still did not work. Went back numerous times for wax expressions . They did make a second set as to their policy. second set did not fit either. Food would get under the bottom dentures and the top dentures took a lot of adhesive and would still be loose. You have to wait months in between appointments . i kept telling them that the dentures was too big. I have a small mouth with small teeth. They kept telling me that they were not too big. I did not have enough room in my mouth to try to eat anything. I got their final set in October 2023. It should not take a year to get your dentures That do not fit.Their excuses was the person I needed to see was not there or the teeth were not back yet. If you get a little loud in expressing how you feel, it does not phase them at all. My top dentures were real rough on the pallet and the actual teeth was also rough. For God sakes people DO NOT go to Aspen for implants. They absolutely do not know what they are doing. Yes the price is reasonable but you get what you pay for. If I could give a zero rating I would. BEWARE OF WHAT YOU SIGN was having the top teeth pulled and dentures price was worked out deposit made and signed off on for the top teeth pulled and denture the day they pulled the top teeth I was in checking on a price to pull 2 teeth on the bottom extra and I said I couldn't afford the price $495.00 and said NO and when I got back to check on my son the dentist had pulled them anyway now they said I owe $495.00 they said my adult son had signed for the dentist to do what was needed (they had my son sign a new paper while he was in the chair before the dentist started and while he had taken a pill for his anxiety that they given him) but I cant afford $495.00 but they said I will still have to pay so no matter what SO BEWARE ? read more

I wanted to try a female dentist so I made an appointment here, since they were in-network. It took two months to get in to see them. On the day of the appointment, I showed up, only to be told that the dentist was out sick and someone should have called me, which they didn't. This was after I had to confirm my appointment 3 different ways, one being calling the office the day before to verify I would be there. They did not call me to apologize the next day or reschedule. I am so glad now that I wasn't seen, if this is the way they operate. read more

I should have read the reviews before going to this place. To make a long story short: Aspen Dental is a scam! If you are looking for a good dentist and a professional dental care experience, this is NOT the place. I went there for a simple exam and cleaning, and from start to finish, the experience was horrible!!! First of all, I was asked to arrive 15 minutes early for my 3 pm appointment. I arrive at 2:45pm to find a hand written note on the door saying " MEETING. WILL OPEN AT 3". That was my first red flag. I stood outside the door waiting as other patrons started arriving. Eventually 3 pm arrives and the receptionist/accountant lady opens the door, and tells everyone to sign in and have a seat. One by one she starts calling people, and her first question to each of us was, "Do you have dental insurance". The guy who was called before me said no, and I got to hear all of his personal information before I was called up. " Hello Mam, do you have dental insurance?" was the first question. Then, " let me see your card please so I can make a copy". Then she gives me the forms to fill out which took about 15 minutes. I eventually get called back, and the tech does about 20 x-rays. After which I was ushered into a dental exam chair, and the dental hygienist arrives to examine my teeth for bone depth and recession. She pokes my gums with a sharp needle and remarks in horror as my gums bleed. After this horrible process, she proceeds to tell me I would need a special procedure that involves numbing my gums to put antibiotics under my teeth. she also tried to sell me a fancy electric toothbrush. After I decline the toothbrush, she leaves. The doctor finally comes in, looks at my x-rays and examines my teeth. She sees that I still have my wisdom teeth, and quickly decides I need to get one taken out. She didn't seem to care that I had absolutely no dental pain or complaints. I asked her what's the risk of leaving them in. She said something to the effect that I would get a hole in my cheek later on!!! I pass on the wisdom tooth extraction, after which she says I would need 3 fillings. After she leaves, the receptionist, now turned accountant escorts me to her private area, where she gives me the breakdown of my treatment plan. The total cost was just over $3000 dollars, but thanks to my wonderful insurance, I would only have to pay about $1200! In all my 40+ years of existence I have never had a dental experience like this one. I felt like I was at a car dealership and being haggled to buy a car. Prior to this I was seeing my dentist every 6 months and getting regular check ups and cleanings. So this experience totally surprised me. NEVER GO TO THIS OFFICE!!!!!! Our first visit was pretty cool. No problems. When trying to schedule my husband's next appointment, they were very rude. They hung up the phone in my face. They never got back to me about my insurance information. And when I called to see what the price would be and to schedule the appointment, they still were behind with the information. They tried to overcharge me with the services that my husband needed and didn't think I would ask for the Dentist codes that they use for insurances purposes. BEWAREEEEEE. This place is so dirty. I went in for a new patient visit just to be told they canceled my appointment due to for being able to get me on the phone. They need verbal confirmation. I said when you called you left a message for me to call back and confirm and i did call and confirm and i received an email to confirm so i did it that way also. Andddddd i took a picture or my CONFIRMED app. After driving 1hr and 22 mins to get there this lady at the front told me they canceled me i showed her the picture and my call logo of calling them to confirm app she then said well i see but you call the main station and not the office so we canceled you I said i called whatever number you left on my vmail to call she just repeated herself.I asked for manager so she said i could try to see you as an emergency i said well how much is that she didnt know with taking insurance infor. Ok, so i went to the back,OMG dirty,i told the BOY i was feeling pain on left side but it kindel hurts off and on on both sides so he took xray of right side....WHAT i was in pain on left side but ok dr. came in didnt explain anything to me really unless i asked the question she was looking at xrays and talking to herself making guesses. all she said is im writing a rx to see another dr. i had to ask why and she again starting looking up at xray making guesses to herself. i asked if im in pain today on left side why are you only looking at right side and saying you see small cavity and she said my cavity on left looks worst than the right. OKKKKKKKK so fill the cavity. She said ok i'll be back. Never seen her again, was told by some lady i need to reschedule for a new patient vist. Ok so why charge me and my insurance for an emergency. The lady just kept repeating her self like a robot. I asked so while i waiting for this app. is the dr. giving me pain meds or antibiotics? No.so they did an emergency visit to look and the side of my mouth that was not hurting and to tell me to reschedule the same new patient app i was already there for.I dove alomost 3hrs,wasted gas and time and was in pain for nothing. Aspen dental. Made me suffer I think they pulled the wrong tooth. Extracted it 1-29-19 and it was horrible, but it is worse today. OMG I think she pulled the wrong tooth because it hurts worse than ever... I have bone fragments sticking in my tounge. Afraid to go to a dentist after the beyond painful extraction. She- the dentist burried the drill in my tounge on purpose- I was in pain and did not want the hygentist probing my gums and I got igdignant. As soon as she lost her drill in my tounge I saw her look at her assistant with a look of satisfaction.The place is a horror mill trying to upselll you on nothing and on credit. I am going to pay cash!!! That took two hours to get by the salesman!!! Its a scam and they did me. Cant sleep for, since. Tried to get me to agree to other work when I was there for an emergency- totally a bad bad dentist mill. Help I am in pain! I cant even think to be elequent to blast this place. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!! So the first time time we visit husband had emergency they "worked" us in we waiting for 5 hours because they wheree short staff. We have a 3 year old so you can only imagine. After all that didn't even fix the problem.then I set up a cleaning for myself thinking if I got a appointment it would be better. 3 months away. Right at 2 days before I get an email asking to fill out paperwork before to speed the process up ok I thought cool. Next day get a call to confirm appointment. Got told be 15 min early. Cool day of I get sign in wait 15 min lady comes out any new patients yes me. She told me due to thE weather that was posted all week that the only manager was not coming in because she leaves 2 hours away and can't see any new patients. She said she tried to call me. I would not recommend Aspen Dental. I went to the office for a cleaning and walked out with no cleaning, but a bill (my portion after the insurance) for $699.00. They wanted to schedule the dental work that they thought that I needed for the same afternoon. I could pay the co-pay of $699.00 or complete an application to see if I qualify for payments. I told the office personnel that I would just like to have a cleaning. She said, "Oh no, we can't clean your teeth until we do the dental work, because if we did, we would get in trouble." I suppose that we now have dental police. I am getting a second opinion, because I have never had a dentist say that I need that type of dental work. I believe that they are money hungry. read more

The other reviews are accurate when they say avoid this place. I had an emergency dental problem one night and to make a VERY long, nightmarish story shorter, I will just say the other review was correct. Long-term treatment plan, divided into separate processes, was first priority after x-rays and exam, not the emergency extraction of tooth. Ridiculously high cost in the thousands, each one having to be paid upfront, in its entirety) and the distinct feeling of a corporate, impersonal visit. Total treatment plan: $9,000.00. The emergency extraction was treated as a low priority. They would have to contact a different kind of dentist and see if he could come in the following day (I do work) but "he may not because he doesn't like coming in for 'just one tooth.'" They didn't call me back, but I did get a call from a mystery rear-end. (I could hear the goings on in the person's car.) After finding a different local dentist, the x-rays have still not been sent after four requests. I've had to go to two pointless visits thinking they had been sent because Aspen said they would send them immediately after each call I had with them. I have now been suffering with a periodic "nerve spasm" that drops me to my knees until the mouthful of Orajel takes effect, for well over a month. It will be over two months when I can finally see my dentist again. (Just for the record, there are good reasons that I can't do new x-rays if I can hold off.) Had I known they would delay in sending the x-rays for going over two months, it would have been handled by now. read more
