My complaint is NOT the Doctor!!!!!!! My complaint is toward the older women in the office,!! Because I'm hard if hearing I speak louder but never never disrespectful!!!!!! My Dentist is and always has been great, gentle and kind. I've used them prior and recommend them to family and friends. The rudeness from the older Iady was totally and completely unfounded. Such a shame the patient is scolded for talking louder once hearing aids were removed. Then told not asked to leave after setting in the dental chair . Such a shame the patient is not giving the benefit of the doubt. More so a man that is hard of hearing and as all do speak louder. As I left another patient said she was rude and out of line. Such a shame. He is a great dentist,!! read more

I called to make an emergency appointment with a dentist because I had a molar that had an abscess and I was in severe pain with a swollen jaw and glands near the tooth. I heard the dental assistant speak with the dentist on duty that day and he absolutely refused to see me and told her to tell me to call my regular physician. I was an established patient and shouldn't have been denied. I feel that big dental franchises like this are only interested in easy procedures like whitening teeth and dental veneers. Big money for little work. After begging my primary physician who insisted it was a dentist that I needed to see I finally received antibiotics that took 10 days to work. When I was able to speak without pain I had to search for a new dental practice that handles all kinds of dental procedures that may crop up. I still am amazed at being denied care when I so desperately needed it. read more

Last year, in 06/28/2024, I visited Aspen Dental in Inverness and paid upfront for an examination, as they refused to accept my dental insurance. I wanted to have an extraction, but they recommended a root canal and a crown, quoting an outrageous price. I declined their offer and took my business elsewhere. Today 06/28/2025, I noticed a charge on my bank card that I believed was unauthorized, so I contacted my bank and filed a report. While reviewing my emails, I found a notice from Aspen Dental regarding the same charge, along with a membership that I never authorized. It seems that a staff member at Aspen Dental signed me up for a membership without my permission. read more

The Homosassa, Fl Aspen abandoned my treatment completely because of an irrational woman dentist (my dentist was suppose to be a man) wouldn't make my partial denture until I let a hygienist scrape the 2 teeth I have left. 2 teeth. I'm 68 and have already lost all my teeth except 2. A scraping could cause cracks or some damage. Besides, I thought the customer was always right. I'll never let another woman dentist touch my mouth. They are too opinionated and have something to prove. I think I could have a civil case but, at this point I could not go back to that office. The receptionist did not acknowledge us when we came in. Too busy looking at her screen. When they were doing x-rays, they first were gagging me with the bite wing, then switched to a smaller one that was still cutting the roof of my mouth. They exposed me to the radiation 5 times and still did not have 1 x-ray they could use, so I left. Draw your own conclusions... read more

I came in for some work. Nice waiting room with someone who takes care of you quickly. I have insurance that takes off 30% that's where the trouble comes into paradise. I paid the full amount and they didn't refund my 30 percent. I called 3 times and each time they said ok we'll do it. I was patient and thought ok maybe they're just busy but still nothing. So instead of 30 percent they said they'll be sending me $400. That's supposed to be 30 percent of 3000. I just don't want anyone else getting taken like I was. So watch what you do here in the Homassassa office. I can't say what they do in any other offices. They should be ashamed of themselves. I'm a widow and senior citizen in a fixed income. How could someone be like this. I'm taking this to my attorney and see what they think. read more

My review was not "totally" made toward the Doctor but rather his office staff. Maybe the Doctor only heard one side and I am sure that is the case or he would not have told me to get out because he was told I was rude to the woman in the office. In any case, coming into the room and accusing me rather than asking me what happened is my issue. The lady in the office was rude to me and I am sure I responded the same way. We all have bad days, That day was mine. I wanted him to do the work I needed and I had no problem paying for it. After reviewing some reviews it appears I am not the only person having issues with the office. So be it, I am happy, He or someone apologizes to me, and now time for me to move on. Booked appointment online for broken tooth. Received email & text confirming my appointment. The text message read "If you would like to reschedule or confirm call ### and press 2." Since the text message read I could confirm with a phone call I called the number given and did as told by pressing 2. I was immediately brought to spanish, which I do not speak. I retried the number and the same thing happened. Since nothing read anything was needed or required I waited for appointment. On day of appointment, my husband took off work to watch our 2 under 2. When I got to my appointment it took several minutes for anyone to acknowledge me and when the front desk woman did, she told me they wouldn't use my insurance since I didn't call in advance with my insurance information. I explained and showed the woman the text & emails I received said nothing about insurance or needing to call or any such requirement. I also showed her that I called the number on the text in attempt to speak to someone. This woman was absolutely no help and had zero customer service. She said that none of what I said made sense and that it would be $250 just to look at my teeth. Meanwhile I have dental insurance in hand and was not told during scheduling or before appointment that I needed to preapprove my insurance with 24+ hour notice. I have had many emergency walk-ins to pediatricians, eye doctors & dentist and insurance is not needed 24hrs ahead of time. My husband also works for our medical insurance so I'm well aware that wasn't true. I asked her for another solution, to speak with someone, if the insurance didn't go through by the time I got out that I would pay out of pocket. She continued to say no and never once touched a phone, stood up, touched a computer. The need to make her lack of respect for others so obvious is the reason I wrote a review. If she handled the situation with respect and showed me, as the customer that is paying that she cared in any form to help me or even communicate, I wouldn't have wrote a review. The people that are at the front desk represent the business. She was the only person I interacted with, even though I asked to speak to someone else she told me no with her arms crossed and clear attempt that she "thinks" she runs the facility. Also, I was able to call around and found a dentist that squeezed me in the same day that did accept my insurance and paid $40 for everything. read more

Understanding that this is a new office, and it requires time for processes to run smoothly, nonetheless, this office and support staff has one of the worst levels of customer service I have experienced. I called the office on Friday, August 5th, to set an appointment. Call was not returned. I then called Monday, August 8th, and spoke to "Sharon" shortly after 10:00 AM. She indicated I would receive a return call after speaking with the hygienist. At 4:20 PM, since no call had been received, I called again and spoke to "Christiana". She assured me I would receive a call by the close of business. One minute later, "Sharon" called to inform me she had heard my conversation with Christiana, and I would "definitely" receive a call by the close of business. Of course, I did not get a call, but did, at 2:00 PM today, August 9th. It was "Sharon". When I inquired as to why I didn't receive a call prior to close of business on Monday, the response was "I am calling you now." This approach will not yield a sustainable business; moreover, manners in the South are completely different than in the North. It would be prudent for the staff to learn some. read more

Having read the reviews from others, I am not sure we had the right place, but having recently moved to Weeki Wachee, we were referred to this office by our insurance company. Both my wife and I had an examination, full x-rays and open discussions with the dentist. The result was, we both needed a deep clean, plus 1 filling each. The clean in each case was very thorough and was set out in 2 consecutive days so that one half could be done each day, lasting an hour for each of us each time. The hygienist, Jenny, was the best we have ever had and she was totally professional, caring and considerate on both visits. Our fillings were done today, and again, nothing but total professionalism from all concerned. We have a follow up regular clean scheduled for 4 months time, and I have no hesitation in recommending this office to anyone, we were nice to all the staff from the get go, and it was reciprocated, making us comfortable, and relaxed with the entire process. I should add that my wife has had MS for 37 years and is slow in movement and understanding certain things, but they went above and beyond to ensure that we were dealt with accordingly and we could not be happier with our choices and treatment. I was contacted today by the insurance woman from Aspen Dental Homosassa, Fl. . She asked if theres any thing she can do because she saw my review. I said I just want to know why my insurance was charged for the whole procedure ? She said it wasn't. I said well thats what the other one said when I was trying to leave. She said that is not what she said, she meant your initial appointment was paid for......NO.... she didn't. Why would a technician who I just made get away from me because something is wrong and off make it a point to say your insurance has paid for it so come back if you want to ??? No one says that about an initial appointment. The charge for an initial appointment doesn't pay for a procedure. You both are a lying, manipulating, harassing, intimidating, made to feel threatened, people who need to be put out of a job and or business. Her calling me and getting me upset again is traumatizing all over again by these people. I got upset again by them because she basically called me a liar. I'm now talking back loud and stern saying no, no, no again to these people while repeating the truthful words. I said that other one needs to be fired and never work around peoples mouth again. She started saying more in denial about what was said. I said there is something wrong with you all and that they all need to be fired and the place go down in flames. Figure of speech of course. Meaning exposed to the public and shut down. (The phrase "go down in flames" denotes "to fail miserably" or "utterly ruined". The "downfall" or negative impact is typically so significant, it becomes almost impossible for the affected or the impacted to rise again). Meaning I feel these woman have done this many times before me. They need to be investigated. She was trying to manipulate me AGAIN, by making me think sense my insurance has paid for it then I should come back and have it done. NOOOO you cannot manipulate me by saying that. Also no you can't lie and say she only meant that the initial appointment has been paid for..... WHY ??? Why would she make a point to say that ??? Because she didn't mean it for the initial appointment at all....... She said it's been paid by my insurance and if I need to come back that I can because it's been paid for. SHE was trying to manipulate me again and now this insurance woman its lying for her..... I'm sure the insurance woman made sure it didn't get charged to my insurance, (I'm going to call an make sure) because it's fraud. But that doesn't make it right to lie and say she didn't say that. One way to prove they are now, on top of the other horrible treatment, calling me a liar is, think about why would she feel she's needs to tell me it's been paid for ??? The technicians don't talk to you about that. I feel it's because they want to charge use for every little thing they can rather you need it or not. Now the insurance woman is trying to lie about this horrible treatment from them both. Also when does the insurance person have to come in to try and talk us into having a procedure done ??? when it's not needed nor wanted. Who does this insurance person think she is and why did the dental technician feel she needed two more people, her and another woman, three in total, to come in and try an make me stay to have this done ??? When does the insurance person from a business call to check on you. NEVER !! I told her to never contact me again. Theres way more going on at this place and needs to be investigated. read more

i found the staff to be extremely friendly and the facility was clean and professional. the problem i had was the wait time. The young girl behind the desk didn't even acknowledge me??!! i was asked to come early and I still waited. I was then taken for x-rays. and then to a room to wait, and wait, for the hygienist to come. very sweet woman and then was left to wait some more for the dentist. The dentist came in a half hour later, extremely nice and I felt comfortable wit what she had to say. Taken to 'green' room to WAIT some more for appointment and payment arrangement. all in all I waited 3 hours. Just to get a appointment. I will go back and if I am made to wait for my appointment I will leave and not return. great people but please--3 hrs. The young girl at front desk was not in any way professional. This place is horrible! Twice I arrived for an appointment and was told they had to cancel because there was no dentist. I needed a partial, but knew I had a couple more teeth I would probably lose. The dentist told me I could get a partial that they could add teeth to. I got the partial and lost a tooth two months or so after. I was told they could not add a tooth to the partial. I asked to speak to the dentist who told me this and was told he was no longer there. The staff is never the same from one visit to the next. I could go on and on with how they scammed me in different ways. Run, don't walk away from this place! read more

I went there and they front desk staff was very friendly, however they lied to me. They said they were running a special on extractions for $132. So, I went and after all the X-Rays and everything, they said it would cost me $777.00 dollars to extract 3. At $132.00 it should have been$392.00 but, I was in so much pain for 3 weeks. I just want those back teeth removed. I went back next day to get them extracted. They came in and extracted the wrong tooth, in the front on my mouth, I couldn't feel what they were doing since they put in a nerve block. when I felt it with my tongue, I told them, they had extracted the wrong tooth. Well, they would not pull the right one till, I agreed to pay for the right tooth to be extracted. Came home, and within 3 days, I had blisters all over my mouth. Wherever the injected my gums, I had a blister, and my gums were patchy white. And the gums where the wisdom tooth had been has been left sticking up. I don't know if I will be able to wear a bottom plate with that part sticking up like that. It's been 3 weeks and I am still in so much pain in that side of my gums and mouth. I still have trouble eating. I would not take my dog to even have his teeth cleaned at that place. So, what should have cost me, according to them and their $132. extraction special of $528. ended up costing me $942. So, I am still wondering what happened to their $132.00 special. And they had the nerve to call me top find out when I would be going back to them. NOT HAPPENING, I am still considering suing them. But I don't know if it is worth the aggravation. I went there shortly after they opened to became a new patient but I'm glad I didn't become one. From the minute you walk in until the minute you walk out of this dentist office it does nothing but try to sell you and convince you to buy things from them. I felt like I was at an auction not a dentist office. All I wanted was a standard cleaning. After getting all of their x-rays, check ups and jumping through their hoops, they concluded my teeth were great and set me up for an appointment for a cleaning, but still have not given me a price for that cleaning. During my 1st visit a customer in the waiting room was arguing with the front desk because they charged him over $1000 for a cleaning and he was used to paying less than $100 locally. That raised alarms with me that's why I began asking what they're charging me for the cleaning. If you call they won't give you the price on a basic cleaning over the phone or at the front desk when you walk in because they need to bring you through the auction process first to see what they can talk you into. unbelievably confusing but I guess it's a good business model for them. I stuck with a local hometown dentist & his cleanings are less than $100 and I have had great experiences. read more
