My friend Megan recommended this specific Aspen Dental location to me. She loved Dr Mia and knew that I would too. She wasn't wrong either!! I had a small repair completed there a week ago. When I bought them home and put them in, I noticed that the roof and one side of my dentures were scratchy. And when I took them out and rubbed my finger across those areas, it was rough instead of smooth. I took them back to Aspen to make them aware that their technician damaged my dentures during the repair and to have them fixed and was told I would be charged $90! Was so angry that I walked out. Am taking them back today to speak to the manager. In the meantime, I weigh 101 pounds and can't afford to loose any weight due to not having my dentures to eat with. Not to mention the gas and inconvenience of driving back and forth. I definitely do not recommend Aspen. read more

This place is a joke don't go here. First they made an appointment for X-rays while I was pregnant and they already knew that and they couldn't see me for my appointment because I needed a signed paper from my doctor giving Permission that I could do the X-rays ! I've complained even to office manager and she didn't really do much to assist for all the trouble of waiting and waiting 30 min or more , every time I come in . even if I come super early . The office manager did offer a night guard that was already covered by Insurance Suddenly after I left a google review .( and the night guard that she said wasn't usually covered by insurance) but yet, billing person said it was! And then When I tried to receive and have them use the machine same day ,For the offered night guard (surprisingly )the machine was down The last straw was when they had me come in for an appointment at 1:30. And it was during their lunch hour and yet the lady at front desk had no clue of when they would be back from lunch ? Why make an appointment when no one here !??? read more

Just to be clear the only reason I gave two stars is because the office staff is nice. I started the process of getting dentures January 22nd. I chose the cheap ones with the intention of upgrading for the permanent ones, which I did. The temporary set where horribl. The midline was off center and the didn't fit. I went in four times for soft realigns and there was never any improvement. At the fourth realign the assistant went to get the dentist to try to fix the issue. By this point I had already paid for the upgrade, the signatur, I believe that's what they are called. I went to pick them up two weeks ago and they don't fit right either. I told the dentist who did not take me seriously. So I'm about $6000 in and I can't wear them. Even with adhesive in they are moving all over the place before I can even finish my meal. I can't wear them at all without adhesive, there is no suction at all to keep them in. it's been a horrible experience that I regret ever single day. read more

First I went in explaining that I wanted implant supported dentures after X-rays and a CT scan they sat me down and gave me a quote for $11000 / $8600 out of pocket. Since I was relocating to Florida I was advised to not start any work until I got to Florida but my x-rays and CT scan would be in the computer for the local Aspen Dental office. When I checked in and the doctor went over the options the best price he could offer was $45000. When I questioned the dramatic increase I was shown the original quote from Virginia that was for only basic dentures! I cannot understand why they quoted me for standard dentures when I clearly asked for implants. Bad business practice because had I stayed in Virginia I would have gotten to the point of implants only to find out I would have to pay an additional $30000. read more

My first time coming in to Aspen dental it was nice and welcoming everyone was nice and very help full and respectful, after my X-Ray and meeting the doctor we seat down and we went over my treatment plan and what was going to be accepted. I had hoped to find a dental office that I could trust for my ongoing dental care. Initially, when I arrived, the staff welcomed me warmly, and Dr. Park greeted me with what seemed to be a caring demeanor. However, I soon felt that the visit was more about the financial aspect than patient care. I visited the Aspan Office at the Blending and Youngerman location for a new denture and consulted with Dr. Park, who is of Asian descent. Afterward, I spoke with his Account Manager, who was very kind and explained the process clearly. She informed me about their in-house lab technician, assuring me that the denture creation process would be efficient. The cost for a partial denture came to $4,641, which I agreed to after my insurance approved my co-payment of $2,361.90. I opted to pay out-of-pocket instead of using CareCredit. The experience took a turn when the staff took X-rays, and then Dr. Park reviewed the treatment plan with me. Subsequently, I met with a hygienist who provided a thorough cleaning on one side of my mouth but recommended waiting a week for the other side. Upon my return, a different hygienist performed the cleaning, but I found it less thorough and rushed compared to the first session. After that, I was sent for a scan to measure for the partials. I was informed that my case would be sent outside to the lab rather than being completed on-site, which was unexpected. I was later called to come in for the fitting of my denture and was surprised to find that Dr. Park was not present. The fitting did not meet my expectations; the denture appeared much too small. I expressed my concerns to the nurse, who kindly offered to retake measurements for the denture based on a suggestion from the lab technician. I had preferred the traditional impression method over the laser technology used during my appointment. Overall, I hoped for a more personalized approach from Dr. Park throughout this process. Unfortunately, I felt that the focus was more on financial transactions than ensuring my satisfaction as a patient. This experience has left me feeling quite disappointed, as I initially believed Dr. Park was genuinely invested in the well-being of his patients. Absolutely the worst dental experience I've ever had. I went to the St. Augustine office on a weekend because my crown had come off and they were one of the only places open. I have dental insurance, and they're in-network, but I was told I had to pay upfront. I agreed because I had to catch a flight the next day. They took my money, glued the crown back in place in about two hours, and sent me on my way. A month went by -- no refund. I called, and they said they hadn't processed the claim. Another month passed, and they said it had been submitted two weeks later. Three weeks after that, I called Delta Dental directly: no claim had ever been filed. At best, this is wildly incompetent. At worst, it's fraudulent. Either way, I would never recommend this office to anyone. A grievance has been filed with Delta Dental. 5/7: I did call the number provided and it's a waste of time. They stood by their policy - you need to pay upfront else no services are provided, even if you have insurance. As of today, no refund has been processed. I will wait for Delta Dental to handle this. read more

Everything lord you show up for an appointment a hour and half after if you lucky they cal you back then sit another who knows how long and have a new doc to do the same thing they did last time knows nothing about your history and whats going on at royal waste of 3 hours of my day. They are a scam. You have your "free" consultation "covered" by your insurance, then you'll get a bill for $210 SEVEN MONTHS later. I didn't even have anything done, because I was told I NEED the $700 out-of-pocket cleaning service twice a year. When I said this felt scammy and there is no way I can afford that, the staff member suddenly became hostile and defensive, which only made the entire experience seem even more like a huge scam. I just wanted to establish myself with a dentist and get my biannual cleanings covered by my insurance, and this came up as a practice covered by my insurance. That consultation cost me one of my two yearly visits covered by the insurance, and I left without even getting my teeth cleaned. read more

I've paid upfront for some of the work I need done and after reading more negative reviews than positive I'm absolutely terrified. I need a lot of work done and I'm semi poor like a lot of people and I just can't afford to be overcharged in any way shape or form. I had my first appt and it didn't start off well with a rude receptionist, being left in what I call a common area where my X-rays were a free for all for ask the other patient's to see was quite embarrassing to say the least and made me cry. I had to finally ask someone to turn the monitor off because I felt my medical/dental issues were NOT anyone else's business. I'm not at all comfortable continuing but again being a semi poor person and the credit that a person with poor credit has and being able to be accepted for any amount of credit that will help out of desperation makes me feel that they prey upon that. Aspen will charge you $180 every visit because they try to say you need a deep cleaning every time you visit to avoid using your insurance for basic cleaning. They will want you to pay before you even get examined as well. which is a bit ridiculous for returning customers. I just recently dropped them after finding out their little scam tactics to make extra money off their patients. This place use to have good dental hygienist but they're all gone and now it's full of really rude people that just rush the jobs they're suppose to be experts in. This place is just a scam. I lost a filling and the tooth got infected. Hurt like hell. Went there, told me x-rays and cleaning were free. The x-rays were, they got me later on the cleaning. I was told I was getting my filling done. They were supposed to call me the day of my first appointment, never did and the next day after I call twice. Finally I got it scheduled for Monday. They tell me I cannot get the filling without the "deep cleaning". I told them I was told, filling only, I'll come back for the cleaning. We go back and forth, but I have to get this fixed. Out of pocket, the price for the cleaning was ridiculous. It took a good hour to clean my teeth. The filling took twenty minutes and dentist did a C minus job in it. I don't even know where to begin on how awful all Aspen Dental locations are nowadays. 6 years ago they were great but unfortunately my 5 star review no longer applies. Based on several reviews it looks as if all locations have all gone down hill big time. I scheduled a new pt appt to begin working on my smile. I was billed up front for all the services on my first visit! I was then told I had to complete all the work within 60 days time! So it was a race against time to get what I ALREADY PAID FOR. I was told I had to do my cleaning in 2 separate visits due to insurance not covering a full cleaning in 1 visit. Since I live a total of a 3 hour drive away, I called to see if they could do both visits in 1 day, but they insisted this wasn't possible. So I come in for my first cleaning and the hygienist screws up and does my whole mouth the first visit! When she finished cleaning she said "OK I'll see you back in 3 to 4 months" confused I asked her why so long if I was being forced to schedule my cleaning for 2 visits and that I was actually scheduled to come back the following wk! She got very quiet and didn't speak for a few moments, realizing she just screwed up and did the full cleaning. She proceeds to lie on her clinical notes to cover herself, saying that she only did a partial cleaning!! So I come back the following wk for my 2 extractions since I spoke with the receptionist and told her what happened with the cleaning she said to just come in at 2 for the extractions instead of an hour earlier for a cleaning (that had already been done in error the wk prior). I get there and everything seems to be OK they numbed my mouth and complete the 2 extractions. Immediately after the extractions when my mouth is completely numb and I'm having difficulty speaking from my mouth being full of gauze is when the office manager decides is the best time to attack me about not coming in an hour prior for my second cleaning. After I explain to her the hygienist made the mistake of cleaning my whole mouth and I was advised to come in just for extractions she made me take x-rays to prove my mouth was cleaned!! I had no issue doing so because I was the only one actually telling the truth here! After the x-rays are completed she proceeds to tell me they are firing me as a patient and stopping with my treatment plan that we were now right in the middle of completing! Leaving me with no back teeth to eat for the last month due to the dishonesty of their hygienist. I'm kicking myself for mentioning her mistake to her and letting her know I had an appt the next wk for the other half of my cleaning. Had I not said anything she would have just hung herself by putting she did a full cleaning. God sees what you did and you will have to answer for your dishonesty that impacted the urgent dental needs I was now facing. As I mentioned before I was billed up front for all the services that they now never completed. I was promised a refund to my credit card within 7 to 10 business days but here we are 30 days later and they still have not refunded me a dime for services they NEVER completed a total of over $762 is in limbo from the mess they're to blame for. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from all the Aspen Dental locations they are a rip off and do not care to make their patients suffer due to their own mistakes and carelessness. It's also important to mention that they forced me to do x-rays to prove I had a full cleaning and insisted I didnt.... funny thing is my new dentist could tell ALL of my teeth had recently been cleaned. I'm disappointed that Dr. MIA as nice as she was didn't back me up to the office manager Abbi that my teeth had been cleaned. She is a dentist and she could see both sides of my mouth looked exactly the same after my cleaning. What goes around comes around and when you have staff that is being this dishonest it WILL happen again and this is not a place you can trust to do the right thing. The hygienist could have easily admitted she made a mistake but she was more concerned with the fact that she would lose her job and lied. Do better! The same day they fired me as a patient for their mistake and afraid of being reported for insurance fraud, they sent me an email within the same hour saying they will see me for another appt scheduled at 8 AM the next day! Don't use Aspen Dental the the Town Center(Jacksonville Fl)! Approximately two years ago, I a phone call from the billing staff telling me that we owed $1470 for my son's invisalign which was covered by our insurance provider. Fast forward to 11/322 the billing staff called again informing me that we still owed $1470. Turns out the billing staff never filed with our dental insurance. Because nearly 2 years had passed our insurance provider informed Aspen (Town Center) that it was too late to file. Bottom Line, The office manager (Max) extended a discount of $735 dollars but I still ended up $735 dollars due to the mistake made by the billing staff. Literally trash, for my Spanish speaking friends this place is Basura. My girlfriend scheduled an appointment a week in advanced for 4pm, prepaid over a thousand dollars for the services being performed and the day of the office calls at 11am to tell her she missed her appointment that for some reason they had in the system at 9am. We check and sure enough we have a confirmation text message confirming it was for 4pm. We call back and the response "We don't know what happened sorry, we'll call you if someone cancels or we can reschedule our next available is 21 days out". Her and I (to drive her to and from) both wasted a day's worth of PTO to get this done. No accountability, organization, or concern for the patient/customer's time. Responded to their "free x-rays and exam" advertisement. After the x-rays, they told me they could recement a crown that had come off. I sat and waited for 30 minutes and couldn't wait any longer, so I left without having the crown cemented. They keep sending me a bill for cementing the crown, which they didn't do. I have called and written letters, and they're still trying to collect $115.20. I was not favorably impressed with their office to begin with, but I certainly wouldn't recommend them now. read more

Never again- worst experience ever. First the doc tells me I need a root canal and before crown and sends me to another doctor. A few hundred dollars later, doc says not sure why you were sent as the tooth is no good and needs to be extracted. Back to Aspen for my bridge post extraction- waited 3 hours and 3 rounds of anesthesia as it kept wearing off due to them being busy. 6 months later, I come to find out I owe 235$ that I need to settle so I can go to another Aspen in my area. Paid on 11/8, get a call on 11/10 from local Aspen saying that the balance is still showing. I am so happy with my experience here at the town center Aspen dental. I had a hard time with my previous dentures. I did not like the look or the fit at all. I was treated with nothing but respect and compassion. The took the time to listen and help me. We had to do multiple wax trials before we got the look I was happy with. Not only did they do that for me they did not make me feel rushed in any way. The dentist and the office staff were extremely friendly. I felt like they really cared and just as invested on getting them right. I can not tell you how impressed with this office. I am one of those people that hates the dentist and will do anything to avoid them. I never felt that with this office. I really can't say enough good things about it. Inconsistent pricing provided. Requested X-rays for a second opinion and that seemed like no problem, filled out paperwork and called to follow up and they told me this time pressing issue I needed a second opinion on would take 7-10 days for them to send. I asked why I was told I could get them today for a Monday appointment and they said I don't know, sorry. Very pushy with sending me to a lender verses explaining the breakdown of pricing. It seemed like I was on a supply chain and they had no care of concern. The pressure of booking to fix my tooth was telling me I needed to pay a lump sum of money and just kept pushing for payment. Very uncomfortable and not how non chain sort of offices work. They've billed my insurance for my Free assessment! This place just keeps taking hits. So not only did I have a bad experience. I called this morning to verify my appointment, not only did I not get a reminder call like most places normally do. I have an email stating my appointment was at 10:30. To my surprise during the call I was told see you at 11:30. I said no it's at 10:30. I told the person on the phone I have 2 emails confirming a 10:30 appointment. She said there's nothing she can do about it. I am mad bc I planned my day around this appointment. I had to cancel due to other things I needed to do. The worst Aspen Dental ever ! The hygienist said I needed 10 fillings and then I needed Invisalign. My teeth have never needed 10 fillings. So I began my treatment because what do I know? I just work at a bank I'm not a dentist. I start the first half of the treatment and begin my first 4 fillings. I knew something was wrong because she was touching teeth that has never had to be touched, then the one tooth I've had slight pain in has been hurting for about 3 weeks now from a filling! I can't eat on it drink anything cold or hot. She was rude during the entire procedure. She pushed my head back and forth as if I was a child , kept persisting I sit still while I'm terrible pain in her chair. I'm so upset I didn't read the reviews before coming because now im suffering with some serious teeth pain I've never felt a day in my life !!!!!!!!! I've contacted the customer service team and they have done nothing but just sit there and listen, yet Aspen Dental is going to still make us pay for what she has f.cked up. When I called to pay the balance they said they made a mistake and need to resubmit it and would not do a tooth that needed work until it went thru insurance again.
