He is very young but has classic old school values - meaning he takes his time with his patients and it's amazing how great they are with keeping to their appointments. I just called this office because my daughter ran out of elastic bands for her braces and we live in Dallas but have been staying in our Jacksonville home since before the pandemic. I offered to buy a pack and Cherish who answered the phone was so polite, caring and quick to say that I don't have to pay, to just come by and pick it up. I have never met and received treatment by any other healthcare professionals as wonderful Dr. Rice and his staff. I initially came in to his office because I had a wire poking into my cheek and I was unable to go to my own orthodontist to have it fixed because he was a four hour drive away out of town, as I had moved after beginning treatment where I used to live. Dr. Rice and his staff were incredibly accommodating, they worked me in the same day, and fixed the problem so I could go about my week without the pain it was causing and the hassle of using the wax constantly. While I attempted to finish up treatment with my orthodontist out of town this happened on multiple occasions. Fortunately, Dr. Rice was kind enough and willing to help each and every time. I couldn't help but think how wonderful it would be to have an orthodontist nearby I could depend on, let alone one like Dr. Rice. I wished the timing had been better in regards to my moving, so that I would have started with Dr. Rice to begin with. It wasn't long after that I found out my orthodontist out of town was retiring. It was such an easy decision for me to make to switch to Dr. Rice. I have been so impressed and pleased with the excellent care that has been provided by Dr. Rice and his team. I rather drive 30 mins to see him since he's so friendly and caring than the ones who just rather charge right off the bat in my area. He's always asking how everything has been. His staff is ok. The previous dentist that I took my daughter to see, wanted to pull four teeth to "make room" Dr. Rice gave us a second opinion that was less invasive and economical.
