I have nothing but good things to say about Jax Dental Implants and Dentures... I did my research and they were the only dental practice that I would go with...I didn't even need to get a consultation with anyone else..Right from the beginning the staff and doctors have been fantastic. from the surgery, which I was terrified and nervous about but it all went great and didn't even need the pain meds they prescribed to the pricing and the follow ups. I have been through 3 sets of temps but I move on to my finals in a couple of weeks....They have been very patient and understanding with my request from the color and shape of my finals to my request for appointment times... I am not just disappointed--I am angry. After years of treatment with JAX Dental Implant, I believed my account balance was **$0**. I returned expecting to have an impression made for my implant tooth, only to be blindsided with charges they claimed dated back to **2022**. These charges were never clearly communicated to me when the services were provided. Had I been informed at the time, I could have worked with my dental insurance while the claims were still timely. Because these charges were presented years later, I lost any meaningful opportunity to seek insurance reimbursement. What made an already upsetting situation even worse was the way I was treated by the billing representative. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt I was treated with hostility instead of professionalism. I was met with an unfriendly expression and immediately handed a stack of billing papers, making me feel as though I had intentionally failed to pay a large debt. Rather than taking the time to explain the situation or answer my questions respectfully, I felt dismissed and judged. When I told the office that I intended to file a complaint with the Florida Board of Dentistry regarding the surprise billing, I later received a text message stating that **my demeanor was disrespectful**. I believe patients have every right to be upset when they are presented with unexpected bills years after treatment--especially when that delay prevents them from seeking insurance coverage. Expressing legitimate concerns should not be used to shift the focus away from the underlying billing issues. This experience destroyed my trust in this practice. Patients deserve honesty, transparency, timely billing, and respectful treatment. No one should be blindsided by years-old charges or made to feel intimidated for asking questions and standing up for themselves. read more

Stay away from these people. They don't care about the patient and they lie about everything. They treat older people with disgust instead of compassion. They don't care if they leave you with painful implants once they have the money. I just visited another implant doctor who was so kind and saw immediately what they had missed. They try to gaslight you by having numerous people in their office telling you lies. They also have at least one dentist who has a malpractice suit against him. He did my procedure and they keep saying he did not but the assistant introduced him as the one doing my procedure and his name is all over my surgical notes. This is not a terrible dentist. Dr. Russel is a good doctor but needs to spend more time training his staff. Do not trust the pricing quoted over the phone, and be very clear on all money required if your insurance is not covering it. When I called, the woman quoted me $3,000 for 2 implants with crowns included. I confirmed that price at the desk and paid the $3,000 upfront. They placed a single implant, then asked for another payment. When I reminded them I had already paid in full, they told me the crowns were extra. That is not what I was quoted on the phone or told when I walked in the door. I asked to speak with the manager, Trey. Instead of resolving it, he laughed at me and said $3,000 was "the total for that day." Think about that for a moment. Not one person reading this would ask the price of an implant without the crown included. The crown is the tooth, which is what you want, not a metal spike in your bone. Quoting one price to get you in the chair, then demanding more once work has started, is a textbook bait and switch. Dr. Russel said that's not his intention, but the lack of training and Trey refusing a refund is something to consider. Trey told me he would review the phone recording and asked me to come back (why I'm asking for a refund for work not performed). When I went back, he said he had no time to listen and to come back later. That's extremely insensitive of my time. Eventually he called me back in to listen to it together. Ok cool, but after wasting my time again he claimed the recording was "too fuzzy" to make a decision? I told him I wanted a refund for work never performed. He profusely promised to call back within a few days after speaking with the recording company. That call never came. That was over a year ago, and they still have my money. I recently demanded a call from one of the doctors before pursuing legal action. Dr. Russel called me back, upset that I shared my experience publicly, posted the implant picture on Google, and left bad reviews. Even with him talking over me and accusing me of being dishonest, the call ended well, with him agreeing we pick up a check on Monday. He's also sending me the scans because the implant appears extremely off-center to me, but he assures me the tooth they designed will not be. At least he was a man and called me back (unlike Trey) and is sending the scans so I can get a second opinion on the implant. Dr. Russel said he would not refund the bone graft unless another doctor says it needs to be redone after a year. That's fair if he keeps his word. If you have a problem and they send you to Trey and he gives you the runaround with something rude or silly like the recording was fuzzy, don't get upset. Just leave messages with the office or Gorgette until you can reach Dr. Russel. Obviously, the doctor cares more about his business than a non-professional and rude hired hand with long hair. So I give stars for the experience in the chair. I give stars for the untrained answering service and the lady handing me a paper saying I owe more, calling it a receipt, and explaining nothing except taking my card for payment. I give stars to Trey for refusing to refund money for work not performed, laughing at me like I'm S T U P I D, saying that was the total for that day, thinking he was funny, belittling me, not returning my calls, and wasting a ton of my time. Dr. Russel claims all the general prices are on his website to basically blame me for the misunderstanding. Not a good idea. I did not go to the website; I did what most people do when busy and on the go: I called. I was given a price that was half the actual price. That was not my fault, Dr. Russel. Trey had a chance to admit a mistake after listening to the call but tried to hide it instead, hurting your business more than me. With that said, I still recommend Dr. Russel for having the man parts to call me back! It still should have happened way sooner. But I understand he pays a team to handle this while he does the surgeries. He needs to work on his communication, but he still ended the call on a somewhat agreeable resolution. In all honesty, Dr. Russel never would have had to be on the phone if Trey had been honest, refunded my money, and not kept telling me to come back or lying that he would call me back. Fortunately for Dr. Russel, AI will replace low-level office managers inside a year, work 24/7, and ultimately help his business, not hurt it. Unfortunately for Trey, his lack of integrity and respect will be the catalyst for AI replacing him very soon. Hopefully, he has some other skills to pay the bills because management is not one of them. Thank you, Dr. Russel, for doing the right thing. But if you give a patient a bigger, more expensive bone graft and don't charge them, tell them. It sounds far less believable a year later. My recommendation to Jax is to address the unprofessionalism of the office manager, Michael. Despite claims that I never had a consultation, I have documented proof of my interactions, including communications with Lulu (Patient Coordinator), various office emails, and a Zoom meeting with Dr. McCree. While Dr. McCree is wonderful, the staff's conduct is unacceptable and disrespectful. I will be sharing my experience on social media to ensure others in the community are aware of these issues before they get involved with this office. read more

When I was told my insurance was accepted, based on other research, I decided to go with them. Today after my last implant appointment I was then notified they did not accept my insurance. So $41,000 later I have have a large tax write off. That's the only good thing I have to say. read more

I was very disappointed with this place. I had my arch done by another dentist who has since stopped working due to health reasons. These guys said they could help and charged me $500 to tighten screws and 2 hours later on the first thing I ate it came loose again. I scheduled another appointment to go back and they sat with me for 10 minutes and told me they needed to order another part. They said it would be about 5 days to get the part. I've been calling and they keep putting me off. Finally over 2 weeks later they are telling me they are unable to work on me because they didn't do all the work and it's too much liability. That could have been said immediately. They made me feel like they would be able to help regardless of that and I was so grateful. Thought these guys might be different and I was going to promote them from the roof tops but now I find they are just like everyone else. I came here so hopeful that I was FINALLY going to be able to afford to get my teeth fixed, and left in tears feeling totally worthless because they totally lied about their prices and I get to remain in pain once again. I'm going to start with the fact that I've been to A LOT of dentists/orthodontists over the years and I can't say that any of my experiences have been that great. I really thought this was going to be different because the staff was extremely kind and knowledgeable and they answered all my questions, and I thought the prices were so much better than everyone else, but that was all a lie. I was told over the phone multiple times, on their commercial, and on their website that the total price for EVERYTHING was $2799.00. I'm there for over an hour and half only for them to tell me that they've "changed" their prices and it's going to be about $10,000 for 2 implants. I'm so disappointed in the medical/dental industry as a whole. They don't care about their patients at all anymore... it's ALL about the money. So sad. read more

I left this company a bad review on Google. I then got a phone call from the angry owner Dr Spencer Russell, trying to get me to remove my review. I refused. Then, within an hour or so, I got 7 bad reviews for MY business in "Tennessee", all using similar wording and one of them from Dr Spencer Russell. How do you review an appliance repair business in TN when you live in Florida??? You should seriously reconsider dealing with this company with this type of crooked ethics. Like many other patients who contemplate undergoing full-arch dental implants, I spent an inordinate amount of time researching the pros and cons of the procedure; implant materials; costs; location (U.S. or "dental tourism" abroad); and, of course, the dental specialists responsible for the surgery. There are many options out there; I believe my choice of JAX Dental Implants and Dentures was the best decision for me. From my initial meeting with Dr. Russell and his team in explaining the procedure, during which all of my questions were answered with clarity, to meeting with Trey, who reviewed available financial options with me, the entire staff could not have been more communicative or professional. The facility was replete with the most modern equipment, including an on-site lab, and every employee I encountered seemed thoroughly excited to be working there. My surgery consisted of 12 extractions, being replaced with a full upper arch on six implants and three, single implants on the lower arch. Following the explicit instructions provided by JAX, my surgery and post-surgical days were uneventful, with truly minimal discomfort. By the time of my 3-month follow-up appointment, my healing was excellent; one implant angle adjustment was made to ensure my final denture would fit perfectly. One month later, I returned to be fitted with my permanent denture, where Dr. Thomas ensured the bite was perfect, and a more-permanent material was placed over the implant screws. I have now had my permanent teeth for two months, and am reminded daily of how glad I am that I moved forward with my decision to get my implants. Succinctly stated, the team at JAX is simply amazing! From the ultra-modern facility and technology; to communicating with the patient; and, most importantly, the surgical talent and artistry which is critical to implant dentistry, it is no wonder why JAX receives 5-star ratings from its patients. Again, if you want your IMPLANTS placed correctly, research a Surgeon and not a general dentist ( my mistake). Real person writing, not a paid review!! I am currently a patient of this office, I walked through the doors June 2023, and wish I never walked in, literally. After my surgery, I have had nothing but problems. I could elaborate on the difficulties this office has caused and still won't take accountability for. I have to have another surgery to correct this surgery. I now have sinus issues. Easily the best dental practice I've ever been to. The staff is the most amazing and caring I've seen, the place is spotless, very little wait time, and very professional. Dr. McRee and Dr. Russell worked a miracle in my mouth and I will be forever grateful. I was very fearful about the entire procedure, but they made me feel so comfortable and assured me every step of the way. There was absolutely no pain during or after the procedure, and very little discomfort if any. I would do it again without hesitation, and I will recommend them to everyone in need. Surprisingly , i was referred to this practice from someone who once worked there. I was interested in getting all on 4 dental implants two arches and they advertised .$36,000 versus $55,0000 others charge. They asked me to send a PAN XRAY and Dental records. I completed that same hour after they asked me. I also filled out patient form to become a patient. From my first call, I made them aware I live in Boston, MA and I had a preexisting Molar in need of an immediate extraction. They said "until they had my information they could not respond. " Once I confirmed they were in possession of my X-rays and records I reminded them I needed guidance as to how or what extraction procedures were needed and would not interfere with any plan they had moving forward. My local Dr Dentist wanted me to get a root canal Vs extraction. So I went to a new dentist to get extracted , I explained that I had a scheduled tele health appointment on the .8th on June and anything they did w extraction would not interfere w moving forward w JaxImplants plan to remove remaining teeth snd place implants. Then the oral surgeon was concerned I needed a bone graft or sinus lift. Not knowing what this would do to possible prevention of a successful implantation. The surgeon said" why don't you ask the dentist who will perform the implants?". I told them I had repeatedly asked but never received an answer. They then charged me for the appointment plus new X-rays and left an infected molar with throbbing pain in my mouth. I desperately called JaxImplants Thursday , Friday again ignored by JaxImplants . I went to my ER and was given a Rx of amoxicillin for one week. Monday I call Jax implant office explaining my concern to the front desk . She was defensive and dismissive w my question and said get it pulled we don't need bone there for we go on an angle w implant . I mentioned the oral surgeon strongly felt I needed an bone graft in addition to extraction, she refused to address this issue they also said I should ask Jax if I needed a sinus lift mentioned to me from the local Dentist. Then it happened she made a breathing sound before hanging up on me. Then they refused to take any of my calls, emails and repeated requests to explain why they were refusing me medical care or answer questions. The only comment after being hung up on was to ask me to confirm my zoom tele health appointment on Thursday the .8th! What!! I have an urgent abscessed tooth in immediate need of extraction And still wasn't clear about the bone graft the oral surgeon said was needed. After three hours of calling and being hung up on several times or transferred to VM I am going to spend the extra money w a National company that's $18,000 more to be precise. but I will be safe and deal with ethical doctors not this group of impatient and non compassionate staff. Wonder how they do for $36,000 vs the $50,000 the others charge? Well now we know. Your on your own with the uncaring people at JaxImplants. Imagine how bad their work is if they laugh and hang up on patients with infected roots in a molar and in severe pain. They simply could care less. .
