I scheduled an appointment for 4 pm. I called ahead because I thought I might be ten minutes late. I rush to get there and am told that I arrived just in time (before they canceled me.) I pay 29$ for the appointment. Then I have to wait 36 minutes to be taken back. Then after a few x-rays, they make me wait until 5:46 when I finally got up and just saw all of them standing there laughing. They say that I'm still waiting on the hygienist. Someone says "maybe the Dentist can go in first" instead of him saying anything, and he doesn't even look at me and smiles nervously and walks away with the others like a little kid to go look at something. It's not the patients problem that there is one hygienist, don't let me make an appointment if the only hygienist has to work on 5 people. Take away the time-slot. It's disrespectful to my time to not just reschedule me or let me know that I'd be waiting 2 hours and they aren't even giving me a cleaning. Charging back the 29$ doesn't even feel good, I wish I could take more back for sitting there for two hours doing nothing. They wipe their ass with appointments. Just walk in. Speaking to my dental hygienist at the Pace office she always in in a rush and does not have time to focus on proper care Very friendly employees at that office so nothing against them, organization needs to have a major change. Had my appointment rescheduled from and moved about 2 months. Get 2 weeks out and get a text to call them to reschedule. Reschedule by a few hours so not so bad. Then, get a message today to reschedule again. Go in there and they still had the original date from a week ago. Then they proceed to tell me that they no longer accept my insurance and haven't since 1 April. So, you've known since April. No notification and no newsletter or anything to customers. I recommend not going here. They can't manage appointments and you are not a concern of theirs as a customer. The owner needs to get more involved. read more

This place is a joke. My appointment was at 10am. They called me to come in at 9am as they had an opening and could get me in early. I arrived, filled my paperwork, and was not called back until after 10:20am! Went in for a broken tooth. They took X-rays and the oral hygienist told me that I had 2 abscessed teeth and that I have periodontal disease! I knew this had to be wrong as I had zero pain in any of my teeth. Just wanted to get the broken tooth fixed. They quoted me over $3,000 which wasn't including the root canal! This seemed sketchy so I went to get a second opinion and I indeed do not have periodontal disease, and infections/abscesses and was told that I need a couple fillings and it'd be a couple hundred bucks! You know a dentist is a scam when they take you to a room with a sales person after your visit! Don't waste your money here treating something that you might not have! read more

This is the absolute con job of the century. After the first appointment we set up a cleaning. There was a "good faith" estimate done that showed the insurance company covering most of the work. Aspen Dental makes you pay up front. When we got the Explanation of benefits from the insurance company hardly anything was covered and we had to pay even more out of pocket. The lady on the phone told me it can take 6 months to get an actual estimate. There good faith estimate is completely wrong and they get you in the door and make you pay up front just to get screwed in the end. read more

Waiting weeks for an appointment for a chipped porcelain filling...get to the appt and they won't fix the actual issue until I sign up for a deep cleaning procedure that will cost several thousand dollars. So out of frustration I schedule this deep cleaning. They call on Monday to confirm my appt for Thursday and I confirm and I take an entire day off work. I get an automated TEXT on the morning of my appt about an hour before it's scheduled saying sorry we have to cancel call us to reschedule. What?! I call and cancel the whole thing bc it's been such a circus with them at this point. And then I find out they've charged my CareCredit account for the procedure a month ago before I actually had any service performed. CROOKS AND ONLY OUT FOR MONEY. Having just retired and moved to the area, we were looking for a dentist that took our insurance. My wife called for an appointment for both of us. They sent us a text to check in and verify our appointments. We couldn't do that without a "customer number", which, of course, we were not given. I got a call the day before my appointment saying my appointment was cancelled because I didn't check in online. I explained that I needed a "customer number". I was told that I did not need a number to check in. They gave me an 8:00 appointment due to a cancellation. They asked if I was in any pain. I told them, no, I just need a routine cleaning. We have been going to a dentist every 6 months for the last 40+ years but due to Covid, we had gotten off schedule. I was told that there would be no cleaning on this appointment. The dentist and hygienist would "develop a treatment plan for me". They wanted me there 15 to 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork for my 8:00 appointment. I was there at 7:30, along with 4 other people, standing outside until one of the 9 or 10 people inside, came and unlocked the door at 8:01. They took 30 minutes worth of x-rays before the hygienist came in and poked around my mouth calling out numbers for 30 seconds. She then told me I needed a special cleaning procedure. I told them all I wanted was the routine cleaning that my insurance pays for. I was told I couldn't get the regular cleaning because I have "periodontal disease" and they could be sued for not providing accurate treatment. I then got to spend time with one of their "Finance Manager" to go over finance options for my cleaning. Insurance will pay $800 of the $2300 procedure. My wife got the same, the next day, only her treatments were $6350. I've given them 1 Star, because the staff was very friendly, but so are the staff at Used Car Lots. I flat out asked the dentist, is it truly your medical opinion that I should have an Invisalign consult before you address my wisdom tooth pain today? She said it's their policy. The whole thing feels like I'm being invited to listen to someone speak on a time share. Was out of the country when a front tooth broke out, no one with a brain would walk around with missing front tooth. I put two drops of super glue on denture to hold front tooth in that should have never broken out. Those two drops voided the warranty in their world and they refused to repair. Competition repaired the junk they sold me at no charge and are making me a new one that the teeth doesn't fall out of. Shut this place down, they are scamming people of their hard earned money. About two years ago I paid Milton Aspen Dental around $7,000 to cap three teeth, cleaning and two gold crowns that had worn slap out after twenty years of use. Today, one of the new caps fell out. (2 years have passed) Fortunately, I did not swallow it ! Thinking it was no big deal, I stuck it in my shirt pocket and went directly to Aspen Dental to have it glued back on. To my surprise, the Milton office I went to refused to see me, saying I might could see a dentist in two or three weeks.... I explained to the office personnel that I quit eating because my tongue was scrapping against something sticking out from the area of the cap and asked if one of the professionals could at least smooth it down so I could eat. After all I'm 73 and still enjoy eating solid food !! His only response was I could travel to another Aspen Dental office in Gulf Breeze... I was willing to travel the 45 miles to that office to get some relief , so I asked if he could call to verify my ability to see someone...... SAME RESPONSE !! They would see me in three weeks !! A short internet search and I found another Dentist office on Glover Ave in Milton. After a short drive to the office and a half hour later, the cap was cemented back in it's place !! NO MORE PAIN or worry about what additional damage might have occuried waiting three weeks ! So much for customer service or standing behind your workmanship. read more

The first time I came in, I had already submitted my payment for my teeth cleaning. Staff tried to charge me again, which I disputed. And then they magically found a record of my payment. For my follow-up appointment, I received a text asking me to confirm my appointment. I confirmed the appointment via text and received a text bank that said "Thank you for confirming your appointment!" I show up for my appointment and they tried to turn me away because I had not "verbally" confirmed my appointment... the appointment I had made in person and confirmed via their text service. I understand mistakes happen but in both instances the front desk staff was annoyed at me. read more

Aspen dental turns out is the only dentist my insurance allows. So being time for a cleaning I made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned. First was a battery of X-rays. Then the hygienist and her note taking assistant began with poking and prodding my gums calling out numbers. After the number calling, gum poking I was in formed I had severe bone loss and periodontist disease. After this information was reported along comes the dentist with his note taking assistant. Again being told I needed an extensive procedure. Deep cleaning, root planning antibiotics applied to my gums and other procedures. Then I'm escorted along with the note taker to receive my procedure plan and cost. I felt like I was at a shady car dealer that takes you to see the finance manager being explained all the up sell items I need as he typed up the offer. I to put it mildly felt I was being hustled as just seven months ago none of the tooth losing problems were present. So after all the hype and gloom and doom I am presented with a $4300.00 plan of service. What a scam. One and done with Aspen. Insurance cancelled cleaning appt made. Buyer beware. read more

I had a really good experience here. I was able to get in the same day I called on a cancellation, then magically had the services I needed scheduled for the next morning. There was very little waiting time in the waiting room or between services. If they make a mistake in estimating what your insurance company will pay for, they will pay the difference. You do have to put some money down on your future service (like if you need a crown next week), which was fine for me. The staff are personable and make you feel like part of the family -- and also seem to know their stuff with plenty of experience in the field (even the young radiologist seemed to have paid attention in school). The owner of the practice is a really friendly and positive dentist and military veteran with a lot of experience. The office itself looks newer and clean, and the technology seems like it's "with the times". I'm going to book my husband an appointment here as well. We used to go to Webster Dentistry but weren't impressed with the service. Oh, and the most important thing: my teeth are white and sparkling clean! read more

If there was a minus star rating it would get it.My husband and self just moved to Florida from San Antonio Texas.This business(ASPEN DENTAL) is a scam..BEWARE... they take numerous X-rays and probing then tell you that you need deep cleaning for an out of pocket near $1000.My husband and self just retired and like most companies dental is not part of retirement pkg. We purchased a dental plan and went to the Crestview office first and they refused to due further service to husband unless he completes this two day procedure of deep cleaning which was suppose to be scaling and deep cleaning. My husband was home in 45 min of apt which was a15 min drive from apartment so he received a 15 min cleaning. He told me he was not numbed and the cleaning was no more than the last annual cleanings we've been getting for past 50 yrs. We assumed his second day cleaning maybe more detailed yet my husband said it was the same. They told him the rest of his life he will need a more detailed cleaning( which is for us of an additional $200) besides the insurance claim. They told me I was fine for regular cleaning. They canceled my cleaning Appointment at last min and we moved to Milton in the meantime and so we went to Miltons Aspen Dental only to be told now all of a sudden I also needed the deep cleaning (in just a two week period)...what a scam. The hygienist even said outright that this is only a product of poor hygiene practice and not flossing. Well that's an outright LIE...my husband and myself both use an oral b professional toothbrush twice a day and floss 3 or more times a week. We both refuse to continue service with scammers. After researching I find there are numerous complaints of the same.... MY FAULT for not researching first...though we've never had any problems with dentists in the past. Worst costumer service that I have had at a dental office. I called to make an appointment, gave the lady all my information and asked her about the new military dental insurance. She assured me that I was still in network and I would not have a problem. Made the appointment and arranged my schedule of course for child care. Then when I get to my appointment the lovely lady at the desk is asking my personal info across the room while other costumers are present. She was very unprofessional and kept questioning me if I was in the right place. She couldn't find my file. Once she found me (she was looking in the wrong place) she asked if I was still with my same insurance. I said I am still with the military dental insurance. I went to them last week after seeing their ad in the paper, and remembering how much money I have already spent on my teeth, thought I would check them out. They charged me over 9K which has to be paid up front. That seemed too high so I contact and made an appointment with my dentist who I have paid 10k or more in the last 20 years. Anyway, he xrayed, cleaned and told me there was no need for anything else. He tightened my partial....and voila. It cost $159. The staff took their time throughout the whole process to make her feel comfortable and at ease. Dr Deacon and Bethany made her feel valued and important and worked with her abilities like pros. This is the company that works the most. I had never been doped with a few unresponsive dentists, has no sensitivity to the patients, are not flexible, does not care for one. Especially Dr.J Arnold this since he began to serve me I do a heavy work with me, and the cutest thing is ever available to address emergency cases and even though no colleague is willing to work the emergency of the patient. I really do not recommend this place and much less be teated with this doctor. This doctor has neither the experience nor the commitment to star a good services. read more

I was not pleased with the billing of Aspen. For some odd reason I got two bills after having paid $900 for services up front. They told me the insurance company estimate was not accurate and I had to pay the difference. Frankly, I think that is nonsense. I know these dentists have pricing agreements with the insurance companies for every procedure they do. That being said, they know exactly what the insurance company will pay when the procedure is performed. There should be no further billing to the patient once the agreed services are paid for up front. In addition to that, my insurance covers me for only two office visits and cleanings per year, yet they wanted me to come every 4 months. They refused to move my appointment to 6 months so I had to cancel the appointment. Not acceptable! I make the appointment based on when I desire, not when the hygienist wants to see me. I'm taking my business elsewhere needless to say. They also told me I had Periodontal disease. I looked it up, there is "always" bleeding gums with periodontal disease, and I did not have any issues with bleeding. My toothbrush ALWAYS comes out of my mouth with not a drop of blood on it, or in the toothpaste I spit out. Just a scam to get more money out of you I think. read more

Bad experience! I have wonderful dental insurance, but after a cleaning, and 2 fillings I was billed an additional $50 b/c they billed my insurance wrong. I called more than 5 times to have them correct it. It never was fixed. Bad service, and I had to pay extra. They also tried to talk me into some unneeded mouth cancer screening. Thank goodness I said no because if would have been another $150 out of pocket. I called my doctor and he told me it was a totally unnecessary test. Scam! read more

Went in to start a new dental service, unfortunately my dental plan doesn't cover them. The staff tech and doctor was very friendly. The only negative is the front staff I had made an appointment and when I went for it I was told I wasn't on the schedule, I was suppose to get an email, text or phone call to confirm.
