Unfortunately, several other aspects of the experience left me unimpressed. The equipment appeared outdated compared with what I've encountered at other dental practices. The initial intake process for myself and my two dependents was also extremely lengthy, taking at least an hour, if not longer. I was particularly uncomfortable with the emphasis on services that were not covered by our insurance. We were required to complete an Invisalign assessment even after declining interest in Invisalign, which felt unnecessary. I was also concerned by how our dental conditions were presented. In my experience, relatively routine issues were described in a way that made them seem much more serious, and each of us was referred to a surgeon. After further consideration, those referrals did not appear to be necessary for us. There are definitely positives here--the location is great and the staff is very nice--but overall, the lengthy intake, outdated equipment, pressure toward services we did not request, and what I felt were overly alarming recommendations made this practice a poor fit for my family.

But let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit just how awful Landmark Dental has been. In 2020 and 2021, I had dental work done here. My dentist, Kevin, upgraded my composite tooth to a porcelain one WITHOUT my consent. At the time, there was no way I could have afforded a $2,000 tooth--I specifically selected the cheapest option. When I arrived to get the crown, Kevin casually informed me it was a "wedding present" since I had recently gotten engaged. Fast forward to when I tried to schedule a cleaning before my wedding, and suddenly, Landmark decided I owed them for that porcelain tooth I never agreed to. I asked if they had even bothered to file a claim with my excellent dental insurance--of course, they hadn't. They assured me they would, but for six months, I had to battle with their utterly incompetent employee, Dee, because my insurance never received the claim. Landmark eventually stopped answering my calls entirely, leaving me to move on with my life. Now, four years later, here we are again--Landmark harassing me, ignoring all logic, and making my life difficult. And the cherry on top? I even paid for the porcelain tooth I never authorized, yet I'm STILL being hounded for money. This place is a joke. Their billing department is a nightmare, their customer service is nonexistent, and their ethics are questionable at best. If you're thinking about going to Landmark Dental.

The staff were warm and welcoming, and my cleaning was incredibly thorough. Time flew by thanks to friendly conversation. I often feel self-conscious at the dentist, worrying that I'm not brushing or flossing well enough, but here I felt no judgment at all. I even learned new things about my teeth, with clear explanations backed by the x-rays. Dr. Gomez gave me the stamp of approval, addressed all my concerns with care, and explained everything in a way that made sense.
