This practice has the most caring doctors and staff. Very professional and beautiful office. Been seeing them for many years.

Brought my family here for 2 years. They kept recommending work that didn't need to be done. They insisted I needed to fix several old teeth. They fixed 2, then I had problems after they "fixed/updated" them. Soon after, they insisted I fix more old work. I switched dentists instead. It's been 8 years with our new dentist, and my teeth are great. ADC also recommended work on my son that didn't need to be done. When they did the work on my teeth, my bite was off and I had jaw/neck problems for a few months. Even had to get on muscle relaxers. They tried to fix my bite twice, and the second fix worked. Absolutely love this office! They are busy, but everyone is so genuinely kind. Switched here after multiple awful appointments at a local pediatric dentist, and the blatant miss of a huge, deep hole in my little one's tooth. We first saw Dr F. Faulkner and my daughter loved her, even with all the work she said we needed done that this other "first-class" peds dentist missed. We are now established with Dr Kaitlin and she is just as wonderful, taking the time to explain and calm my girls when they have needed fillings and/or teeth pulled. This office always seems to run like a well-oiled machine, with a staff that is kind, friendly and helpful. The dental technicians who have cleaned my teeth and helped with other procedures have always been skilled and efficient. And...Dr. Ed Faulkner is the best. After relocating into the Pensacola area only five years ago, I was skeptical about finding a skilled yet personable dentist, who would care about patients in a manner that had a more personal, smaller town feel. After receiving an ADC referral from a long time local patient, I booked my first appointment with Dr. Ed. He quickly became my new dentist. Over time, I have encountered no reason to look further. My entire family has been with Advanced Dental Concepts since 2005. Dr. Spurlock retired and sold the business to Dr Faulkner a few years back. Since then of my two fillings crumble and fail every year or two. Two years ago, the company I work for changed the dental coverage carrier. I called in for an appointment to correct the failed filling and was told that they were an in network provider. after the work was done, I was told their staff made a mistake and unfortunately the billed me. as they made an error, they refused to make an adjustment. I asked to discuss this with Dr. Faulkner and he never returned my call as he was unavailable to take my call. In November 2021, I called for an appointment for another failed filling. I was experiencing some discomfort. I was told to wait until after the first of the year for my coverage to reset. I informed them to no avail, my coverage did not need to reset as I had not visited their practice at all in 2021. So, made an appointment for January 2022. I was told that Dr. Falkner would examine my filling but the hygenist would not be able to effect the cleaning until March 2022 and to come in any way and they would handle the filling issue. at the last moment before my appointment, they called and changed the appointment. I presented for the appointment and was told someone made a mistake. For insurance purposes, i was told that they need to complete the failed filling exam at the same time as the cleaning or I would have to pay out of pocket for another exam in March when they completed the cleaning. I was told that their staff simply made a mistake. again, they made a mistake and the patient has to pay for it. I have to admit I was upset. I asked to speak to Dr. Faulkner. and would wait. I asked when the Dr. would be available and was told "sometime with in the next year". i was asked to wait in the waiting room. I did so. a half hour later a staff person came out at 3:30 and said the Dr. was busy and If i could wait until after 5:00. I declined. the rep asked me what was wrong. as she asked, i explained to her of the issues. She said she would write down my phone number. at that point another staff member came out and sent her out of the waiting room and told me that I had to leave as she did not want other patients overhearing the complaint. I told her that it was her staff who approached me in the waiting room and asked what the issue was so I answered. If she did not want other patients to hear of the complaint, they simply could have taken me to a more private area. in any case, they stated Dr. Faulkner would call me at 5:00 Pm. As before, he never called. it seems that you do what you are told to do. Their staff gives wrong information and the patient is left holding the bag. Dr. Faulkner does not care enough to call the patient to discuss the issues as promised and in my case, I am left with a failed filling and discomfort since last October / November. this appears to be a strictly high profit operation with little concern for the patient. in the past, Dr. Spurlock's operation would take patients with an urgent matter with short notice. read more

Live 12 hours away, but they still got me in for an exam, then an extraction on the same day when I was in town. Knowing I would not be a repeat customer. At 59 years of age, this is undoubtedly the best dental experience. I would not hesitate to go back, or to recommend this practice to anyone. Horrible !!!! Before I set my appointment, I gave them my insurance info so they could verify they were in my network. I was called back & told 'yes'. So I set my appointment. X-rays, cleaning, action plan & prices were given. I'm not confrontational. The hygienist had me feeling like I should never eat again. She seemed to take vengeance on my mouth during my cleaning. When I pointed out what was hurting, she did nothing. My mouth hurt for over a week. I decided to get a 'second' opinion. Glad I did ! The hygienist praised my 'home care' & total work needed was over $3,000. less. When Ann called to re-set my appt. & I told her what happened, she was very apologetic. Then I get a bill for $65. (Per rep that set my appt,.& my action plan, was to be $0) Kathy the office mng said it was my 'fault' that I should know what my insurance covers...( Well, I do know ! Exam, x-rays & cleaning are free !!!) She then proceeded to tell me that they are a 'premier' Delta Dental provider & that the charges were valid. So....... not only did they mislead, they wanted to give me a crown I didn't need. As a single mom w/ 2 kids, I am greatly disturbed & saddened by the unprofessional, bait & switch behavior of this practice. I can sincerely say.... I will 'never' recommend them !! I retired from dentistry in 2012 in Orlando and moved to Milton. I didn't know who to go to, so asked a health professional for a suggestion. He suggested this practice, he said they did things right. So I took my relative whom I am raising to Dr. Forest and observer how they treated him. They did everything right! Proper sterilization procedures, proper xrays, proper treatment planning. Then my wife and I went to Dr. Forest. Again, everything done properly. A quick follow-up to my previously-posted review that will be helpful to future falsely-billed customers. After months of "fighting" a losing battle with this dentist office, I simply contacted my Care Credit card company and explained the unethical billing practices of this dentist office; the care credit card representative immediately removed the overpayment from my account and stated that they would go after the dentist office for the overpayment. I should have contacted the card company initially, but I believe in working WITH the business (unbeknownst to me at the time, however, that was NOT an option with this dentist office). THANK YOU CARE CREDIT FOR YOUR WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE PRACTICES. I have since found a WONDERFUL family-owned dentist in the same area that responds/schedules quickly, practices ethical billing practices, and is ALWAYS EAGER to hear and respond to my concerns! So I drive an hour for my appointment today only for them to tell me "I am mistaken" and my appointment is next Wednesday. Really, yeah no it's not and here is my email confirmation. I have been a customer for a few years and I try to give this practice the benefit of the doubt because I like Dr. Forrest. However, after Dr. Spurlock did a root canal on me that had to be re-done by an specialist for not doing it correctly.. I think I am changing practices. They are losing focus on patient care which is what has kept them open for sooo many years SO BEWARE! read more

I have had no issues with my teeth my entire life. I went in for my first visit and annual cleaning back in 2012. They said I had a cracked tooth and would need a crown. After cleaning up the tooth for the crown I ended up needing a root canal. After that was all complete I had nothing but issues with that tooth. It irritated me all the time. I really regretted letting them mess with it. I went in for my bi annual cleanings and each time I complained about that tooth. Each time they said it looked fine. Well fast forward to yesterday. 6 checkup/cleanings later and many complaints about that tooth I relocate to another city. I went in for my bi-annual cleaning. I complain again about that tooth and my new Dentist notices that my gums are irritated all around that crown. I am having an allergic reaction to the metal in the crown. Also that there was a root that was missed (had 4 roots instead of 3) during the root canal and there is a small abscess now at the end of that root. Now I have to pay for another crown (one without metal), as well as a trip to the specialist to fix the botched root canal. Not a happy camper and just glad I have insurance and a healthy savings account so I can afford to have this done. Not something I was budgeting for during our move. Another thing is I went in and signed a release form so that my new dentist could have access to my X-rays. When they called for them they were told I needed a release signed. I immediately called them and straighten that out however after two weeks they still did not send the X-rays so my new dentist needed to do them to be able to complete my exam. Lucky for me they did not charge me for them. I think they took pity on me after knowing what I'm going to have to go through the next couple of months to get this all fixed. Not only that I have to take a full day off work. Add another $160 loss to that. Grrrrr!!!! NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!! Other than that the girl that used to do my cleanings was awesome and their facility has allot of state of the art equipment. That's the only reason for a two stars. I had a few old fillings redone that needed to be replaced about six months ago. Everything was okay with them before but ever since having them worked on they have hurt. I moved so I had to go to a new dentist and they looked over my xrays I had done at Advanced Dental Concepts and then took some xrays of the teeth that hurt and they said they filled way to much of the tooth and that I possibly need a root canal and a crown. I'm so frustrated. One of my very good friends who goes here is having some of the same issues as me. Be careful so you don't have to go through the same thing as me. read more

Our experience at advanced dental was not enjoyable. I'm a military member and we recently moved to the area. My wife went to this office for a first visit and cleaning. Firstly, the admin ladies at check in and on the phone have a tendency to be condescending and slightly snotty. After a cleaning visit, which she never completed, they sent her home with a large bill and treatment plan for several thousands of dollars. Definitely felt like they were not listening and looking for an income stream. After calling in to question this I again felt the negative tone from the lady on the phone. We are choosing to spend our money at a different dentist office. I suggest the same to you. read more

Dr. Ed is amazing. I hardly ever feel the injections and he is really respectful of the fact that I have a huge fear of going to the dentist. If you have severe anxiety like I do, try seeing Dr. Ed. I probably would have never gone back to the dentist if it wasn't for this practice. read more

I would never recommend this dentist office to anyone. They recommend work that is not necessary. They also have a habit of saying your insurance will cover a certain amount or your in network when in reality you are not. Then they send you a bill your expected to pay for something they said your insurance will cover. All there smiling faces don't matter when you get slammed with a surprise bill in the mail saying you must pay or there sending it to collections. read more

Dr. Spurlock is a kind and caring dentist. His staff is superb. They remember my name, take personal care of me. If you are a little nervous, they also have relaxation techniques. The rooms are private with your own tv, blanket , neck pillow, and if you need, they also have headphones with music to help drown out the sound of the drill if that bothers you. Bad, bad mistake coming to this place! I saw the dentist for maybe 5 minutes while they administered the deadening shots. The rest of the crown work was done by a young dental technician (not a licensed dentist!). At one point she was becoming so frustrated trying to get the crown to work that she whispered some cuss words that she probably thought I couldn't hear. She finally called for help and another technician came in (again not the dentist). Finally when they had finished, the dentist came in to inspect their work and said a few words to me and left. I have since had numerous problems with this crown and have been forced to go see another dentist to get it fixed. And another thing, I thought the dental hygienist was going to kill me before I got out of there! All of those "smiling faces" technicians are young and they obviously have not been trained in how to work with the sensitive teeth of the elderly.
