I went to Aspen dental with several dental issues . Based on their advertisements they're supposedly very accommodating. I felt terrible. They proceeded to tell me with my Blue Cross plan that my dental cleaning would cost me nearly $1,700. And my total care plan was going to be nearly 25,000. Naturally I went to another dentist Gulf dental in Panama City charged me $19 for the same cleaning one month later. My total care plan is 50% complete and I've paid out-of-pocket $1,800. I feel really upset and frustrated because I started motto aligners here. For over 3 grand. And I did all the steps, went through all the retainers for my teeth to still not move how i wanted them to move. I have one stubborn tooth and it's still being stubborn. AVOID ASPEN DENTAL AT ALL COSTS!!!! I will say that the office staff is very friendly. Everyone I have come in contact with at this office was very nice and patient. However, that's about all the nice things I can say. I was a patient here for a couple years and thought they were ok. The first, they will upsell everywhere they can (special toothbrush, services, etc.). They do not mess around with billing and money. They want all the money up front and will not schedule certain procedures unless you put some/all of the cost up front. At one point I was given an estimate of thousands of dollars of work that needed to be done. I trusted them. I put down almost a thousand dollars to make an appointment for one procedure I was told I needed. Because reasons, this appointment was a couple months out. A few days before my procedure, I get a call that the dentist looked over my file and wanted to double check some things. I go in and was told that they do not think I need the procedure, and they can just fill my cavity. Cool, that saves me money. The did refund my money, but it took a bit of time. However, when asked about the other procedures they told me I needed, they explained that they didn't think I needed it. And to just come for my next cleaning. Should have been a big red flag there but I stupidly made my next cleaning appointment and went in a few months later. Of course got another printout from them with many procedures I needed (somehow different from before?!?). But because their system was down they could not do anything beyond showing me what they recommend needs to be done and that someone would be calling me with the cost estimate and to schedule my follow ups. This never happened. Frustrated at this point, I sought out another dentist. My last appointment with them was in May 2023. March 2024, I got a bill from Aspen from that appointment in May of 2023, for several hundreds of dollars. That appointment was my biannual cleaning and check up (covered by insurance). Admittedly, I didn't call until April to figure out why I was getting a bill nearly a year later. I was explained that they updated their system and some things got lost in translation, but they wanted their money now. I explained that my insurance should have covered it. I was told that because of the system update, they lost my insurance information. Luckily, I still have the same insurance so they collected my information and I was told to ignore the bill. But what if I changed jobs or dental insurance? About a month later I got another bill for the same amount threatening to send me to collections. So, I had to call AGAIN through their automated system and wait on hold to speak to someone AGAIN about this. I was told they see where they collected my information but for whatever reason they did not submit it to my insurance. I was reassured that they have actually submitted the information with my insurance and they will not send me to collections. I needed some x-rays from them and my new dentist warned me that they are notorious for not giving up x-rays and to expect a fight. At this point I wrote a negative google review and received a call from the local office within a couple days. They did promptly send me my x-rays and reassured me again that I would not be sent to collections. THEY SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS!!! I recently received a letter from the collections agency. I was reassured repeatedly that my account would not be sent to collections from multiple people at Aspen. Aspen told me that my account was adjusted to zero balance (like it should have been in the first place) after they sent me to collections and that it could take 30-40 days for them to send the letter to the collections agency resolving me of the "debt". And that I need to call the collections agency at this point to confirm if/when they receive this letter to make sure it does not get reported to my credit. The amount of time I've wasted on phone calls for something that was their fault in the first place is a disgrace. Maybe if you're here on vacation or have some kind of emergency they will work? read more

What a joke. My husband lost a front tooth. Aspen got us in right away for a consult. They made a plan for fixing the tooth, but said before they could do anything he needed an "special cleaning" for $1400. He went ahead stupidly, and did the cleaning which in his opinion was a normal cleaning. Took 1 hour. They did not schedule him again. When I called an left a message, they did not call or explain anything. Then we get an email stating he is scheduled for 4 months from now!!!! Seriously!!! This is a front tooth missing!!!! I've been there approximately one year with four visits but have made the decision not to go back. First visit, I was there for a routine six month visit and told I needed a "specially cleaning" for $1400 out of pocket with my dental insurance to prevent periodontal disease and they said I needed to come in every four months. So this just happened. I went to Aspen dental for a cleaning My first visit in Florida to a dentist down here. last year in July I had a cleaning in Virginia. Aspen dental took x-rays they said I have calcium buildup, need periodontal cleaning and I also have a cracked crown. The cracked crown I knew about. I did that last week biting bread I know go figure. so with the insurance that I have it's going to cost me $1,600 out of pocket total before ins. $3,700 . So I decided to just get the crown done now because that's important and the cleaning done in September. The office just called me and said they won't do the crown unless I get the cleaning done does that sound right to anybody out there. This office has an issue with communication with patients. I was very impressed with my initial appointment and all the attention to ensure I was comfortable with the procedure. Following appointments, not so great since each staff member we speak to has a different story, and always the canned "I'm so sorry ". No one is on the same page. today I have an appointment at 10 AM to finalize my tooth implant. The drive is one hour and 15 minutes away and you would think if the tooth has not arrived they would have called me and let me know. But they did not. Again another very disappointing appointment. ABSOLUTELY Disheartening, Paid an exuberant amount of money for a cosmetic decorative crown with a silver star in the crown. Within a year or so the decorative portion of the crown fell off and they have no interest in correcting the issue. I was told there is "no warranty" on their work or products. If you offer decorative crowns you should stand behind the product you sell. Needless to say, now I have a crown with a mission section once covered by the silver star that I need to pay to have redone. Prior to the first crown failing I went back to inquire about a second decorative crown. I was priced more than twice the cost with insurance (approx $1800) than I paid cash for at Bay Smiles ($800) for the same work with no insurance, I paid cash...except Bay Smiles made my crown in house that day, I left Bay Smiles with a permanent fix within 2hrs, where Aspen would have required at least 2 visits and twice the visit cost. Typical corporate dentistry BS. The dentists I saw were young, likely fresh out of dental school. Aspen seemed like its designed to be a denture provider. Other locations have been great, I've been using another location for the last 8 years and have never had a complaint. This location is terrible. They can't locate files, I had to start completely all over again with a full visit and told I'm only getting a cleaning if time permits. Lacrisia is a nightmare at this location, she has no business working with ppl. My appointment was made well in advance all to be told via email that they didn't have the staff to honor my appointment. I had to move my other commitments around to accommodate their schedule or wait over a month to be seen. I don't know where to start. Stay as far away from here as possible. This dental chain is the biggest rip-off I've ever encountered. Getting any work done here is one of my biggest regrets. I got two fillings 2.5 years ago. Very shortly after, one of them fell out. It was a huge hassle for them to agree to fix their mistake for free. Sorry, but I don't think any person in their right mind is willing to pay to fix a mistake that someone else made. About 2 months ago, I went to a different dental office (because as far as I was concerned, I was never setting foot in an Aspen again because of the way they handled the filling situation.) I had x-rays taken, and was informed that I had cavities actually growing underneath my fillings that, shocker, were done by Aspen Dental! This isn't common in fillings that are actually applied well. After lots of back and forth with Aspen Dental corporate, they agreed to check it out if I went to one of their offices and had them take their OWN x-rays. I had my x-rays done and sure enough, it was the two teeth that they had put fillings on 2.5 years earlier. The Aspen dentist straight up said that they needed to be replaced. Great, everything sounds like it's going to be squared away, right? Nope! They will NOT do a replacement for free, but for a measly 20% discount. I refuse to pay my OWN money to fix a mistake that they made AGAIN. Fillings are supposed to last a MINIMUM of 10 years, mine have lasted 2 1/2 years. Some fillings can last a lifetime. Their answer was "Well, sometimes things like this happen." Yes, they do, and I understand that. What a company with even a shred of decency would do is fix THEIR mistake. They only back their dental work up to a year. If you have issues with anything after a year, they could not care less. I am not shaming some of the very nice people that work at these offices, but the company and the company's business practices. This is absolutely ridiculous and is frankly such a rip-off that I am sure others have not had a choice but to succumb to. I have lawyers in my family and will be taking legal action as soon as possible. Bottom line: please, please save yourself the stress, anxiety, and money by going somewhere, ANYWHERE else. read more

First shot out of the gate they started numbing the wrong tooth , the assistant argued with me about what crown I was there to remove and replace . I told her it was a lower chipped crown that needed to be removed , I told dentist she was numbing as upper tooth and it was a lower one that was chipped that needed to be replaced. So he starts working after numbing me , he left the room to let some string he placed around the old tooth numb me farther, I guess. I wanted to see the string he put in there do I got a mirror to see what it was , I look in my mouth and discover he removed the wrong tooth!!!! No kidding. It was obvious which one needed to be removed it had a big chip in it. I got upset and when they started working on fixing it the assistant named Kim pulled up to my mouth, as the Doctor asked her to rinse my mouth, she looked at the Dentist and said "she is not worth it" I kid you not!!! I told the dentist to get her out of my room. He said he was sorry for her but the new girl made a temporary crown for both teeth and when I got home an the numbing went away I realized the temporary had cut the side of my tongue all to heck. I called to ask him to come remove it and remake it and he said no to just take it out if it hurt so much. I had no idea how to remove it he said to bite down on some candy, I hung up on him and now it is malpractice attorney time. The assistant should go down with him. I am in pain and infected and it's the week end. Oh yes, I had my teeth cleaned at same office and she cut my gum so I had to take antibiotics for 2 weeks. I just figured it was a fluke so I went for the crown rYou just cant make the stuff up!!! Saga continues , Temporary broke after 2 days. I ask to see the dental tech so she could remake it so I can eat since he took two back molars it is very difficult to eat. He won't see me for 6 more day they are too booked.i called other offices and they will not finish what another crappy dentist starts I'm sure for liability issues so I'm stuck with no back teeth on my left side. They would not give me a number for a district managers and corporate will not even talk to me when you call CS they say call district manager. I am fairly new to the area and had a tooth break. I went in to see Dr Klepes. He was very nice and gentle. He prescribed antibiotics since I had an infection and scheduled for an extraction. I will say I was very nervous about that. To my surprise the extraction was over in a few minutes. I did not feel the novocain shots or any pain what so ever. I have since been in for a cleaning with Jodi and will have an implant in once the extraction heals enough. The girls in the office are always kind and knowledgeable. I thought I would receive my requested cleaning but instead was given a "plan" after a exam and more x rays I ever had in my life. Was told I had periodontal disease, needing a deep cleaning, and had 3 cavities. I was in shock since I had never had any problems in over 25 years. Before any procedure of cleaning, I was to pay up front over $500.00 for "the plan" although I had dental insurance. I did as they advised and paid this huge amount but went to another dentist for a second opinion right after the "cleaning". The second opinion advised I had NO gum disease and NO cavities. Was charged nothing. This week after a year has passed I received a bill for the first time from Aspen of $300.00+ for procedures I didn't even need. When you have a receptionist at your business that is the first person with which a customer has an interaction. If your receptionist is rude that sets the tone for the rest of your visit. Going to the dentist is usually naturally a stressful experience and your staff should be as gentle and calming as possible. I had a partial repaired there for 132.00...they did a small adjustment when it was completed..but a day and a half later it was rubbing a spot in my mouth and i was told to come in on monday at 830 am. When I arrived i was told my appointment was wednesday ..i knew this was incorrect and I have proof that it was incorrect. I was quoted a cost for a repair when all i needed was an adjustment. I called back and asked to speak to the office manager..who also said my appointment was for wednesday but i know this is incorrect as I have proof. I also mentioned that I only needed an adjustment because the partial was not broken but he informed me that i was a REPAIR and would accept nothing different. He quoted me 180.00 for a repair which was actually an adjustment which is 73.00. This told me that they had enough customers and did not need my business.
