This has to be the worst dentist office I have ever experienced. last year i went to them with a bad tooth before my wedding On Dec 2024. They were able to remove and put in a partial before the wedding told me after the wedding, they would call me and get me in for the permanent bridge they were putting in. Not only have i spent 4k to have bridge put in now they are blaming me for not going in soon enough to get my permanent one put on. after multiple calls to the office and no return calls 7 months after the temp was put in there I had the permanent one put in 30 days ago. Now I have a terrible infection in that tooth and they say ohh you may need a root canal and they want me to pay for it. Though they are the ones who messed up the tooth in the first place. NEVER had a problem with that tooth before this bridge went on there. And they are NOT willing to help at all. Needless to say I will NOT be returning to there facility at all and i would recommend no one uses there service up there on West Ridgewood going forward. Wow and I thought I was one of the lucky ones. The first time I had adequate service because completing my upper and lower partials took some time. But I just took that in stride with the work that had to be done! But then when I returned yesterday because a crown had popped off was a different story. I had scheduled the appointment and went in as scheduled paid the balance on my account. Only to find out that they wanted me to pay an additional $165 for additional X-rays and full exam just to glue the crown back on! When I booked the appointment no one said, hey you haven't been here in a while and so we're probably gonna need to do X-rays and an exam and it might cost you about $150. So imagine my surprise to hear this when I got into the office. Not only was I upset but after me yelling at them for these crazy office policies I was asked to leave by both the manager and the doctor. Now mind you Aspen dental dentists get paid an average of $180k a year, do u think that the dentist booked the appointment that she could have gone out of her way to say, hey there maybe some extra $$ out of your pocket to examine you. Save yourself the trouble and NEVER go there....I always wondered why there were hardly any patients there, and now they have one less! read more

When you leave a review, you get a follow up message from a manager. She will ask you to call her and discuss the problem. Please, do yourself a favor, don't bother. They listen, but are very condescending. They will not resolve anything. All they will do, is question you, and make you feel like you are the problem. This place needs to be shut down. I paid good money for a partial that still is not right. I refuse to walk back in there, or any other Aspen Dental. Went here to get a wisdom tooth removed. I'm in my 30's and always heard it was worse when you're older so naturally I was nervous. First impression when I walked in was how clean the facility was. Everything is clean, new, modern, and appeared to have all the latest tech/dental equipment. As big of a baby I was at first, the staff there made me feel so much better. They we're comforting with their tone, demeanor, & made me feel at home. The oral surgeon who removed my tooth was professional and I could tell how experienced he must be based on how quick & painless the operation was. I HIGHLY recommend this office to anyone reading this right now. I will go again. read more

Please, please, please! Do yourself a favor and get an independent dentist. These chains are borderline illegal in my opinion! First, they tell you you need far more work than you actually do, they work with a third-party lender to extend you a line of credit which is paid to them and then you pay the lender! Now, most dentists are very accommodating when you have a crown or a root canal done they allow you to make reasonable payments over a reasonable amount of time. They do not go through a third-party lender! Again, please get yourself established with an independent dentist. Furthermore, the dentists that work in these chains are under a lot of pressure to generate large amounts of revenue for these businesses. If they do not meet their quota, they will be fired! Created a Yelp account just for the sake of warning anyone thinking about going here to go anywhere else. My experience with Aspen was terrible! I feel completely taken advantage of. I scheduled an appointment to have a chipped tooth FIXED. I called the day it happened and despite having an exposed nerve that is causing considerable pain, I couldn't be seen for a week. I'm rational and places get busy, it is what it is. I wasn't even upset about that. What I could eat without being in pain was limited but I dealt with it thinking it would be good in a week. I finally go in and get charged $235 up front. Ok, still not mad. Dentists are expensive I expected this. I wait 30 minutes to be taken back and get x-rays? That's when I started getting annoyed. I just had x-rays done 2 months prior and the chip is very visible without them so why? So they can charge me more money of course. Whatever, I don't care I just want it fixed so I go along with it. I then wait 30 more minutes for the dentist to look in my mouth for LITERALLY 30 seconds. She then tells me to go up front to schedule an appointment to actually have it fixed.. Now I'm pissed. They know I'm in pain, but that's not their problem apparently. I talk to the finance person who tells me I will need to pay another $260 before scheduling the appointment which would be over a week away. In case you haven't been following along, that is now nearly $500 spent before being sent home with a still very painful, very broken tooth. Feeling powerless and taken advantage of, I left and called the first "dentist near me" on google I saw. I explained the situation which they agreed was trash. I have an appointment for tomorrow to get it fixed, not looked at a week later, but actually fixed. I loved Dr. Adams. He was super sweet and made me feel very comfortable. Every time I went in, it was in and out and he made sure everything was correct before continuing with whatever I was in for. He also made you feel like you were friends with him when you would come in. Also talking about things that you had in common. I picked a dumb insurance plan through Aetna when my company changed insurance providers. The Aetna rep stated that Aspen Dental was one of the closest in proximity to my office. Today I went for a first visit. And last visit. The girl taking x-ray was sweet as can be. The hygienist checked my gums and recession depths or whatever it may be. She recommend some cockamamie suggestion about this procedure that would take 1.5 hours. I said that I didn't have enough time today as I was on lunch break. I asked if I could get a standard cleaning for the time being and she said a bunch of things that didn't make sense. I asked about cost and was referred to some lady behind a desk. She said that the procedure would be $2000.00 and insurance would cover $1000.00. I left after that. Highly suggest avoiding this place. It is like the Lube Stop of dentistry. I just wanted a God damned cleaning. Left with a headache and high blood pressure due to my anger at them wasting my time. Completely dissatisfied with my treatment at this office. During the initial visit Dr. Lindsey McMahan looked extremely worn-out and spent 3 minutes with me at most. I was hardly pushed towards an unnecessary service, which was charged but not performed! Unlike with other dentists during the "deep cleaning" session, the doctor didn't even show up. Other than the initial exam all prices are 20-30% higher than competitive local dentists. After the visit discussion about my experience was conducted awfully rude and unsupportive. I took out a loan to get crowns. The dentist told me I would have no problem keeping them in. I told him I was on meds that would make my gums swell and my doctor told me that they would be pushed out. They assured me this wasn't the case. So less then 2 years later. Only you get a surprise bill in the mail a few weeks later for another $500.00 . they also gave me a bag to take home after I was put out.... Dentist was extremely rude. She was cocky, short tempered and became pissed when questions were asked. She actually filed down my natural teeth which caused one to break eventually. I was able to switch to a different location where the actually knew what they were doing. I strongly suggest stearing clear of that location unless you want to get a dose of bad attitude. read more

I work in customer service, and I know that things can be hard. Customers can be rude. People are outright mean sometimes. But I'll just start with NOPE, this was unacceptable how I was treated. I don't like the dentist, not at all, but I had a HORRIBLE experience here. I have this recurring toothache I get all the time, but my normal dentist wasn't able to get me in on short-notice so I decided to try Aspen, HUGE mistake. I waited for a while, to start, then once I was taken to the exam room, the dentist and dental assistant stood behind me and talked for a while, but not to me, which is fine but this went on for a while. When the dentist finally poked around in my mouth, she looked around and basically told me that I needed what was called a "deep cleaning" and that nothing was wrong and the pain was "all in my head". She didn't do anything to help with the pain I'm in. So then, the dental assistant took me to this little waiting room to wait for the financial office manager. And this woman was even more rude than the dentist and assistant. I have insurance so this "appointment" was covered, but I told her that the dentist didn't even do anything, to which she responded, "yeah duh you need the deep cleaning. That's why you're in pain", as if I am an uneducated individual. I felt extremely insulted. This woman gave me an itemized receipt of what this "deep cleaning" would entail, so I walked out, crumpled it up, and threw it away. This is nothing but a business tactic and they do not take their patients seriously. I will NEVER go back to Aspen Dental. I STRONGLY advise no one else do either. read more

Less than one star!! For one thing they have separate appointments for the dentist and the hygienist so you cannot get a checkup and a cleaning in the same day. Incredibly inconvenient. On my second trip for the cleaning, the hygienist was late, condescending and rude. She fishhooked my mouth with her fingers to check if I had my wisdom teeth or molars.... BAD start. Did she think of asking me or explaining to me before jamming her fingers in my mouth? No! I have a lot of anxiety already with dentists and this lady did not help ease my fears. Then she didn't have all her tools in her tray even more delaying me actually getting the cleaning I was there for. 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time she finally gets started and she is roughly fishhooking my cheeks, banging her tools on my teeth as if she has an axe to grind. At that point I was thinking "what more pain is this sadist going to inflict on me?" So I asked her "why are you doing that? Banging things around, grabbing my cheek?" And then I got up and left. I scheduled a same day appt because the web site offered emergency dentistry. I was seen by a not so friendly dentist and was told that I needed other tooth extractions to go along with the one that I wanted out. Next thing I know I am sitting in front of the finance person, running a quote for the extractions and partials. I asked her why he didn't take this one tooth out that was causing me so many problems. I was told in a snarky reply "He is seeing patients"? WTF am I? Chopped liver. All aspen does is try to push dentures on a good majority of their patients because they have a lab onsite at every location. They recommended me to get upper dentures, I went to get a second opinion and the doctor told me that there was no need for upper dentures when all i needed was a few crowns... Avoid this dentist by all cost. First, my hubby went here, and they said they thought his tooth could be saved. They wanted to send him for tests, and to put a crown on it. It would have been over 2000 to do that. He asked how much to pull it, they said a couple hundred. He said that's probably what I'll do. Gave him antibiotics to be on, then after he was done taking them he was to come back. When he went back, the lady dentist kept telling him she thought the tooth could be saved, even though he had told them he was there to get it pulled. She gave a him a shot of novocaine, which numbed his back teeth, where the problem tooth is not located. He said he wasn't numb, so she administered another shot. Some time went by, he still wasn't numb. Meanwhile, in the waiting area, me and our ride could hear someone in the back screaming. We hoped it wasn't my husband. Perhaps this person needed more novocaine..? Back to hubbie. So the lady doc starts getting defensive, saying his mouth should be numb. Then comes up with different excuses why it's not: The antibiotics are not letting it work. He's too nervous. What? Who isn't nervous getting a tooth pulled? Just weird! Long story short, he got his money back and went somewhere else...To an oral surgeon who had no problem giving him 4 shots of novocaine, till the proper area was numb. Yesterday I'm 10/23/15 I went in to get a crown on my front tooth fixed the dentist sets the crown on the table that it's on almost knocks it on the floor when I had paid $1,200 for this at a prior dentist. They were really rough with me and there's scam artist here I truly believe that they do work just to get paid I didn't even get a copy of my xrays which on Monday I'm going to go and get I'm going to take them to a different dentist and ask for a second opinion if I really needed these fillings done which I had a terrible terrible job that was performed on my teeth . They put the crown back in crooked so now I have to go back in and hopefully be able to have it put back on straight like it was before. I had to pay 200 and $88 out of pocket and I don't even know why? I am officially filing a complaint with the Ada, which is the American dentist Association and as far as the deep cleaning and all the fillings I supposedly need, I never got an estimate that was broken down which showed me the actual cost of each procedure. I had three fillings which I think were completely unnecessary and a crown glued back into place crookedly, and they charged me over $1,400 then I'm supposed to return on Monday for a cleaning which I don't even feel is necessary but that I already paid for and now I have to ask them to undo the crown that they put back in because it is crooked and I have a big gap that I never used to have between my front teeth. And on top of it I would never recommend this place and I dread going back there but they sucked my insurance dry already read more

I was there for hours. I had a scheduled apointment and it still took all day long. My procedure was not explained to me and when the dentist stopped to work on someone else I was left in room with almost no front teeth left. It was traumatic for me. The staff was not concerned. I was given a temporary, it did stay in well, but I worried it would not. I went back to get my permanent teeth and they did not look right. The staff removed them and offered to make a new one. I had to wait on that so I was left with another temporary. It was a very long process that involved getting another made as the second set was also not up to par. The third set of teeth that were made for me, were put on me at a different location. I was sitting in the chair getting my teeth fixed in a stall with a leaking ceiling. It was a terrible experience! I had financed the process so my bill was huge. They continued to bill despite being told I was getting a refund and owed nothing. When I stopped paying the bill was sent to collections. It took months to clear it all up. My refund was sent to me on a prepaid Visa card. read more
