One of the WORST clinics I've been to. I had a filling replaced and it was placed extremely close to the nerve causing EXTREME pain. I went back the following day due to the pain. They pressured me to schedule the root canal in their office (they wanted almost 5k upfront for it) and the endodontist wasn't even in until the next week. At that point I was in so much pain I couldn't wait a week. I reached out to another office and they called aspen to request my x-rays so they would proceed with the root canal. Aspen claimed it would take 2-4 business days for them to get the x-rays sent over. When I called aspen and demanded them, they emailed them immediately and lied and said the other office didn't request them. I ended up getting an emergency root canal at another office who got me in the same day. They charged less than half of what aspen wanted me to pay and were much more professional and caring. Worst experience ever and will never return. read more

This clinic is one of the worst dental clinics in have been too. How do you have an appointment at 8am and you don't open your doors till 8??? They can't keep a dentist and my appointment got cancelled 2 times because of it. I already put money down for an implant and had some of the work done so no turning back now or i would loose too much money. Do not go here!!!! read more

WORST CLINIC EVER!!! Dont waste your time or money. Front desk staff is horribly unproffesional and uncaring. The lady at the front desk started gossiping about other patients to me and then talked on the phone with a friend for about 20 minutes while the phone rang off the hook. I scheduled an appointment over the phone and arrived on time, only to be told I had no appointment because I didn't put money down first. Front desk staff then lied and said they never spoke to me and blamed the call center. This office is only concerned in taking your money, not caring for your ailments. I have literally never experienced such unprofessional behavior before and I've worked in customer service for over a decade and seen everything. PLEASE do not waste your time or money here. Listen to all the negative reviews and just find somewhere else or you'll be sorry. I can't stress enough how appalled I am by the "customer service" I witnessed. Just disgusting. read more

Went to Aspen Dental in Pickerington on Oct 28th, 2021 and had a great experience when they had to replace a crown that broke. Then..... On September 17, 2022 while up at Lake Erie my back molar tooth started to hurt. So I went to the Aspen Dental in Sandusky. They were friendly, took x-rays and said I needed to have a root canal and they didn't do them but I should contact their office in Pickerington to see if they have a floating Dentist that does root canals. We called and they wanted me to come in and pay them another office visit and take x-rays. I said can't you just get the report from this Dentist in Sandusky and they said no they needed me to still come in. I called corporate and they said that I didn't need to pay another office visit and the Pickerington office could just get the x-rays from Sandusky and that they would look into it. Never heard from them again. So we made several calls and the only one that called us back with the Sandusky office saying they heard we had a complaint about THEIR x-rays. I said no and explained to them what was going on and again they said they would call me back as the Pickerington office could get that information off their system. NO call again. Here it is October 15th, 2022 and still haven't heard a thing. Guess after my money was paid I am no longer a concern for them. Will have to find another dentist as I am not happy with Aspen Dental in Pickerington. read more

I felt like I was on an assembly line in supply chain. Not personable at all. Was never acknowledged when I signed in. Excessive x-rays. Never in my life have I had so many X-rays. I had braces and oral surgeries done before at a dentist but never this many X-rays. It is obvious that it is about money and schedule as many patients that you can. Overbooking is a serious problem there. Trying to SELL a $3000 dental cleaning is beyond imaginable. I wish now that I would have went to a small dentist business instead of a corporation. Do not go to a chain dentist. Like a chain restaurant, it's not great. Callter does not communicate with the office. I came to get an estimate on an extraction and implant. The call center advised that the dentist would be able to take a look and advise an estimate. The actual office would not do anything without taking a full set of x-ray's and billing insurance. I specifically told the call center that I just had this done my previous dentist and it wouldn't be covered. They said, "no problem, no commitment. The only fee will be the exam and they usually do not charge if it's not covered". The pickerington office was insisting on xrays and would let me know how much it would cost me after it was done. Uh, no. The person at the front desk was rude, condescending and didn't have a clue" because the call center doesn't tell them anything". Avoid this place read more

Aspen Dental in Pickerington is not worth your time and especially money. Don't waste either Here. I paid for my services that I was then told could not be performed due to my high blood pressure so my money would be immediately refunded. That was over 2 months ago and still have not received 1 cent back. Almost $900 stolen from me by Aspen Dental. They told me that their system was hacked and initially it may take up to 3 weeks for my refund. That was over 8 weeks ago. I am now told there is nothing they can do. I now have to contact the state dental board and get my attorney's involved taking more of my valuable time and money. Negative stars! ​ read more

Went in to have a filling replaced that had fallen out (one that they had put in). The dentist seemed to not know what he was doing. He began by talking loudly about pro football for about 5 minutes, then, when he began he did seem to know how to use the instruments. He asked the assistant what the names of some were. He tried to put a metal ring around the tooth but after 30 minutes all that had been accomplished was my gum was bleeding. An assistant came in and put the ring on in about 30 seconds. The dentist then took another 30 minutes putting the filling in but when he took metal ring off he also pulled all the filling out. My gum was still bleeding and he said, "I'm throwing the towel in" and left. About 10 minutes later an assistant came in and completed the entire task in about 15 minutes. Seemed great but the filling fell out about 30 minutes later. The assistants, an African American man and a young woman, were very professional and competent. read more

Horrible dentist. We spent $7500.00 on extractions and dentures for my husband and 9 months later he still doesn't have a set that fits. They are a prime example of money hungry dentists taking advantage of people. They told him they couldn't do anything else for him but if he wanted to return his dentures they would refund him $500.00. I wonder how many other people they have done this to. read more

Went to Aspen Dental in Pickerington, Ohio. In a word, aweful. You know you are in an aweful dental practice when on your first visit: 1) No one introduces themselves. 2) No one asks a single question about your medical or dental history. (To be fair, the forms I filled out asked about current medical conditions. But otherwise, nothing). 3) The person taking your seemingly excessive x-rays reveals that she is currently waitlisted to get "into" a dental hygienist program at a local college. 4) The person that initially appears to be the receptionist, turns out to the the office manager. 5) The receptionist/office manager insists that they need your SSN for billing purposes. 6) The name the dentist gives you, after you ask for their name, does not match any of the names on the list of dentist in the offices as listed in the reception area. 7) The dentist spends no more than three minutes looking in your mouth. 8) The receptionist/office manager claims that they must do a "deep cleaning" or the hygienist could lose their license. 9) The receptionist/office manager promises to call you with information on how much of the $3000 cost for a "deep cleaning" your insurance will cover, but never does (I guess she figured I was onto their gig and not likely to play along). read more

The worst experience I have ever had at a dentist. The first impression of an upper denture seemed ok, however when the final denture was presented to me, the teeth were too short. Guess what because I signed that the 1st impressions was good, I was stuck, I had to pay another $100 for another impression to be taken. The new set was so ill fitting that after an hour of the tech grinding the denture down, I just left and went home. My mouth was bleeding and gums got so sore that I took to making alterations myself. I examined the denture and it was the same denture with the teeth moved. There is a plastic ridge that runs through the denture that irritates because my tongue keeps finding it. Sure there were a couple of techs like Emily who did her best to help me, but overall the actual Dentist spent about 15 minutes with me total for about 4 visits. Money down the drain as far as I am concerned and I had to get my wife to co sign a loan to get the top of the line denture. I asked about the $299 denture special and they told me that they were cheap plastic and would not work. I am so disappointed, I would not recommend Aspen Dental to my worst enemy. I just returned from my first visit to this dentist. I had a somewhat emergency situation and due to some, ahem, questionable billing practices by my former dentist, I arrive here as a new patient with x-rays and medical records in tow. I was able to call early this AM and get a late morning appointment. Pleased about that. This is a no frills office, but do not take that in a pejorative sense. The office is bright, clean, and business like. There is not a lot of fluff, kid play areas, free beverages, etc. No, these people are about providing quality dental care, at a reasonable cost. This is not a dental mill however. I was never rushed, or left alone for hours at a time due to over scheduling. I saved some time and did my new patient paperwork in advance so that cut time off my wait. Despite having my own x-rays, the whole head just being taken yesterday, I was given a free full set of x-rays and examination. Nice touch. I met with the hygienist who did a full examination and told me what she suggested. Contrary to other reviewers, she was neither pushy nor rude. She was quite pleasant to be honest. I then saw the dentist. He reviewed my x-rays with me and told me what he suggested. He was honest, non-pushy and answered all of my questions. Following I met with the office manager Aaron. He went over all the suggested treatment, explained how my benefits and my secondary benefits would pay, and we scheduled my oral surgery. There were no games, no high-pressure sales, no lack of professionalism. I do wish he had closed his door so he was not interrupted - you know that whole patient confidentiality thing but this is dentistry, not, well something more severe. Everything was clearly explained, there is a price guarantee, and I felt confident in the service I received. Overall, I give them 5 stars. I wanted to give 4.5 stars but that's not do-able here. This is a good no frills dentist. They got me in and out and took care of my problems. I'm not sure what issues the other reviewers had, give this place a try for good service by decent people. If you want the uppity spa dental experience, this is not the place, but after-all, do you really need that when you are there to get your teeth cleaned? read more

Visited October 2020. Dr. Syed Zunera lacks the professionalism you should expect of a trained dentist. I waited in the chair, without any attention, for over an hour. Then she looked in my mouth for all of 20 seconds. Told me I was done and as I was checking out, the clerk said a cleaning would cost $1200 next visit. I don't think she's really a trained dentist. I read a review that Emily wrote but not until after my wife went here. Everyone knows you can't please every customer so one complaint is not a deal breaker. Sadly, the bad experience Emily had is exactly how the place runs. If I could give zero stars, I would as well. The dentist was just plain rude. Horrible bedside manner. They employ high pressure sales techniques and if you opt not to go with the $6,000.00 price they suggest, their professionalism ends and the rudeness begins. They wanted to do $6K of dental work when we asked for a simple extraction. My wife had an extraction that was needlessly painful. It's highly offensive to be treated poorly if you don't want the Cadillac treatment they're trying to sell. I'll be the second consecutive patient to urge people to go elsewhere for treatment. From my initial appointment that I thought was a cleaning was really to just get X-rays and make an appointment for my cleaning. Then Rescheduling my appointment once and my husband's appointment several times due to scheduling conflicts. When I did get into my appointment the hygienist called me back an hour after my appointment time and she was not very friendly either. I have nothing good to say about Aspen. This place has horrible customer service and does not do business well. They had a special where you could go in for a cheap cleaning and they would cover the cost of x-rays. They are still trying to charge me for the x-rays and are sending me to a collection agency even though I left that place with a $0 balance. They did not have hygienists available even though my appointment had been made several weeks out. I would rather pay more for a quality local dentist. I will never make this mistake again. Such a hassle for no reason. They are only getting 1 star because they won't let me leave it blank. read more

I hate feeling the way I do about any business, especially since I've spent $5,000.00 there in the past couple years. Over a year ago I was having a little trouble with a, leftover, wisdom tooth. So not having a permanent dentist for a time, ever since we tossed our prestigious Dublin dental wizard, because my wife and I had been disrespected the last couple times we had been there. He was so very friendly when Honda was spending their money on our mouths, and the crowns and bridges were being pushed on us like Oxycontin at a Meigs County pain clinic. But because I'm retired now and my dental insurance is less than stellar, (but I will spend cash on my teeth), ole Dr. "O" was less than friendly about our appointments. He actually sent my wife to a, supposed comrade, who cheerfully excepted our cash to work on the wrong tooth, with no apologies I might add. So now there's Aspen, I thought ok, simple job, when I was a young buck, my Pops would pull a tooth with his needle nose pliers. First visit, free exam and X-rays, way cool. We talked about my options, cost, set up an appointment, second visit, I get one tooth fixed a little bit and one yanked, here's your cash, have a nice day, don't call me, I'll call.....or not..... you. Third visit, go back, have a chunk of bone, that is extruding out of my gum, right where my leftover wise guy was pulled out, go figure. A few months go by and one of Dr. "O's" superior crowns falls off, front and center. Of course Aspen can't get me in for a week, and without my front tooth, I won't be getting in anywhere for a week ether. So I find a guy, right down the street, he tightens me up for a Benjamin, once again all is well. Alrighty then, a few more months go by and my other, front, center, friggen tooth, that Dr. "O" had done a veneer on so it would fill in a gap and match the crown that he had ordered in the wrong tint. So again I return to Aspen, like the prodigal son, hot out of the hog pen. After a few up dated X-rays, I get a whole new path to oral wholeness and the office manager, Chris says we're gonna waive the fee for this visit. Great, but you know this isn't my first visit. I could tell it had slipped his mind, but he insisted, that's alright, I can do it, I'm the office manager. For the record, you can take his word and a $134.48 and get a few updated X-rays and a new path to oral wholeness. If I would have said something that stupid, trying to be Mr. Hotshot, in front of this tired old dude. And then realizing I wasn't as important as I thought, I would have paid the old dudes tab for the day myself, but I'm cut from fine leather, I think he's more like crape paper. So I did pay for that day and threw the nose for everything else. But I am told that I now have a healthy oral outlook, of course I've always felt that I had a healthy oral outlook. Let me add, many of the hygienist were outstanding and the current dentist, I'm sorry but his name has slipped my mind, male, 5'9", dark hair, an accent from, I'm unsure but I think possibly Latino. He too is outstanding. Front dest was always helpful and kind, but some of the earlier dentist and some of the help should be out standing,.....in an unemployment line. Okay, maybe a little too harsh but maybe not, anyway I think overall 2 stars is abundantly generous, considering. And I only touched on some of the high lights. read more

My treatment by this dental office was very questionable. I have fantastic insurance coverage and plenty of funds so money was never an issue. I do, however, believe they try to get more out-of-pocket money than required. They insisted that my insurance would pay a lesser amount of the cost until they received (in writing) the correct amount that I initially told them would be paid. I feel strongly that I was subjected to possible racial discrimination because they refused to render services to me after obtaining a predetermination (promise of payment) from my insurance. They were also poor with followup while I waited on the predetermination from my insurance. I asked for a reason for refusing to proceed with my treatment (talking to their corporate office) but they would not provide one, only offered to refer me to another office. I waited a month after my initial visit before they refused to provide service. Unexplainable, but unacceptable. read more

I went to aspen out of convenience due to their late hours and Saturday appointment times. I wear partial dentures and needed a new piece so I chose here based off commercials saying it was their specialty. The end result was a plastic piece of junk that doesn't fit correctly, I can't even use them, and was basically told there was nothing else they could or would do. That was over a year and 3 months ago. Just a couple weeks ago I received a bill for nearly 500 bucks. I had insurance at the time of the procedure, they never contacted me however aspen is saying they didn't pay. I contacted them and they said they would figure out why my insurance didn't pay and get back to me. Just received another notice that payment is due this week or they're taking me to collections. This is absolutely ridiculous. It's been well over a year. Insurance is saying they paid. Who would lie over 500 dollars? An multi billion dollar insurance company or a dental chain? read more

Went in and got xrays. Sat and waited for the dr. 2 people cam into the exam room after me. One was seen by the assistant the second ...... when the dr came in he went to the other patient first which irritated me a bit. So he comes over to me, looks in my mouth and starts say to the assistant surgical extraction 12 and surgical extraction 5. I was there for one broken tooth. When I started questioning the other extraction he said it wasnt for me and i didnt need to understand everything said between him and his assistant. I replied well cant you see my confusion when you're talking to me and say extraction 12 and extraction 5? He then looked at his assistant and said I'm not doing this extraction. The look the assistant gave me was a look of wtf just happened and said wait here a min. I got up and went to the receptionist desk. A lady comes out and rudely asks is there something else we can do for you? I said yes infant the doctors name. They wouldnt give it to me. Told me it's on the website and it's not. I seen 4 names in the door and asked which dr and was told to leave or the cops were going to be called. I went there originally due to the pain caused by one of my wisdom teeth. They got me in the same day I called. In fact they called me and let me know they had an earlier time. I arrived and didn't have to wait long at all to get an x-ray done. The doctor came in, review the x-ray, went over some option and his recommendation. Then we talked to the office manager, Aaron, who went over everything financially. It wasn't cheap but you won't go to McDonald and expect a 5 stars quality steak either. He found a way for us to make it work. At this point he felt that I was in so much pain so he asked a doctor to write me prescription and was able to schedule me in the same day for deep cleaning. They surgery for my wisdom teeth was done the following weekend. The surgery was pretty much in and out for 4 wisdom teeth. The doctors, nurses, and staff were very professional and very friendly. The office were very clean throughout. I haven't been to the dentist in quite some time due to my previous dentist kinda talked down to us so it was very discouraging to go back to any dentist. I was very skeptical about getting my teeth clean on the regular basis until I went to Aspen Dental. The lady that cleaned my teeth was very positive and very encouraging to make it a regular thing. My wife ended up doing the same thing and we will be using them as our regular family dentist. You will have a lot of negative rating with every company you use. I highly recommend you visit them and find out for yourself. They will go over everything with you financially before it will cost you anything so if you don't like what you see then it's your choice to walk out. They don't charge your for the x-ray anyhow. What do you really have to lose except time which you're wasting right now reading all these ratings lol. read more

Horrible experience. I called in because I had an infection (this has happened a few times in the same area on my gums and other dentists have easily treated it so I know the drill, drainage and antibiotics) I call in and they give a same day appointment but fail to mention that she is not a fully licensed dentist. After the xrays she comes in and barely looks in my mouth and says I will have to come back on another day so someone else can treat it. That was frustating but I let it go. She then proceeds to shame me and say my teeth are going to fall out and asks me rudely what kind of pain medication I am trying to get. I was very offended because I actually hate pain medication and never take it, all I wanted was penicillin for the swelling. The cherry on top is that I just received a notice from a collection agency for a bill even though I have insurance and she didn't even provide any treatment whatsoever! All around the worst time I've had at a dentist office. read more

Was referred here to do several things prior to my daughter getting braces. Met with the benefits coordinator after the consultation to discuss details of what my insurance would cover. I paid the portion of the bill that my insurance did not cover, and 2 months later I receive another bill telling me that, "oops, we thought that procedure was covered, but it's not"...? I received another bill for almost $400. What's the job of the benefits coordinator if they can't do their job? Had I known this procedure WASN'T covered by my insurance, we probably would have elected not to have it done. Very unprofessional and harassing. Got hung up on every time I called to ask questions. Would not recommend going here or taking your kids here. Just really bad business practices. read more

If I could give negative stars for this place I would. My first and last visit there for sure. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment and signed in as no one was at the front desk. I waited and waited and when someone who arrived after me was taken back I said something. I asked How long is the wait usually here when you have an appointment? She apologized all over herself. I had waited 30 minutes over my appt and no one said a word or looked at the sign in sheet. She keyed my info in quick and I was sent to a cleaning chair in a joint room with a half wall. Then I was taken back for x rays by a nice young lady. Then brought back to the room and had an exam by the dentist. He was nice too. Then the manager brought me out to discuss payments and insurance with me. He said AFTER my insurance it would be over $600 for 1 crown. I told him that was more than it was to have all of my wisdom teeth removed or a previous crown I had somewhere else. Then he proceeded to tell me if I wanted a cleaning today it would be another 20 minute wait. I at this point had been there over an hour from my appointment time and only had xrays and a quick exam. I left furious with NO cleaning. He said their first appointment there is xrays and a consult. They usually schedule a cleaning for the second appointment. What?! So I spent an hour for xrays and an exam and didnt even get my teeth cleaned. But he was oh so gracious enough to offer to set up another appointment!!!!!!!! read more
