I had my dentures put in six years ago in the Port Orange office. Have been pretty happy. Until I bit into something last week and one of the front teeth broke out of the gum. I called and got an appointment right away the next morning at 8:30 which was good, but then they required me to have a full set of x-rays a hygienist exam and it ended up costing me over $200 to get the tooth fixed in my denture only to 24 hours later today to bite into something and swallow the same tooth now it's Easter weekend and they don't know when they can get me in next week Monday, but I'm not even sure about that. What I'm thinking is my should've lasted longer than 24 hours and they able to get me in at 8:30 the next morning after it initially happened ...now it's their mistake the repair didn't hold and I don't even know when I can get back in all I can think about is the fact that it cost me over $200 yesterday morning because they knew I was gonna have an exam and a full set of x-rays and a hygienist look at my teeth and they have the opportunity to talk to me about buying more services and now they just have to fix something that they didn't repair correctly and not make any money off of it very unsatisfied. After the third time trying to get my daughter's denture adjusted and making an appointment at the office we find that the appointment was made in a different state. The first two times they didn't have a dentist available as they only have one dentist. The only excuse that they had was that they made the appointment for another state,duh. Went back for implant cleaning after a few years. Got to see Dr Farrah Hason, who actually put the implants in in 2018 and made my dentures. She is sooo nice. Checked my X-rays and saw that all was still looking good. Handed off to the hygienist Judy, who did a thorough job of checking for bacteria and plaque under the gum. Normally my biggest complaint about this office was the office staff themselves. But great people working the desks and actually answering phones promptly. I would recommend this Aspen Dental over all the others from here to RI! read more

The place is a corporate scam machine. Told me I needed $4,600 extraction implant, crown and bone grafting to fix a cracked tooth. Tried to charge me for the implant screw that holds the implant in place that wasn't going to be needed for 6 months from now. After getting a second opinion another dentist fixed the tooth perfectly with a basic filling for $600 in about half an hour. Port Orange Aspen is absolutely scummy and does not have the interest of their customers first. They take everyone's crappy insurance to get you in the door then jack up the price for things you don't need adding way more stress, time, pain and money for you but profits for them. This is my second visit to Aspen dental, and I won't ever be back. I went in for a cleaning today, appointment at 1:30. They were on lunch and the doors were locked until 1:30. Very minor issue, I wait in my car. I walk in, and sign in and I'm told the fee for todays cleaning is $50 to pay immediately. (I should not have paid as my insurance covers 2 cleanings a year.) I was brought back at 1:55, and the woman didn't explain "Hi we're doing a cleaning today." I sat and said "We're just doing a cleaning right?" And she doesn't respond, as she's reading what she's supposed to be doing behind me. We talk about my Invisalign, and that I'm very happy with where my teeth are. She then says, "your teeth aren't lining up." This brought me to tears. I was in an accident and lost a tooth, broke my jaw, etc. my teeth will never line up. This should all be in my chart. I was back in my car at 2:15. Had to drink from the water fountain in the lobby, and spit outside to get the grit out of my mouth from the cleaning that lasted maybe 7 minutes. read more

I had an emergency visit to the Port Orange location because of a severe toothache. The doctor informed me that I had an infection, but instead of addressing my pain, they were more concerned about scheduling a root canal appointment. They didn't provide any antibiotics or pain medication, which exacerbated my discomfort. The next day, I called their office to inquire about the pain, and it took them four phone calls to finally get back to me with an update that the doctor had sent antibiotics and ibuprofen, which I had already started taking and weren't effective. It was a long weekend, and I'm not satisfied with the lack of prompt attention and effective treatment. read more

Aspen Dental in Port Orange is FABULOUS! The entire staff treated me so well I was shocked. AND...Farah Hasan DMD went way above customer service. I had a full mouth restoration done in Mexico due to the high cost in the states. I am fully satisfied but after chomping down on ice (a big no no) I caused a crown over an implant to become loose. Greenberg Dental who I had signed a contract with and paid for cleanings and 20% discount REFUSED to see me after they took my money. Said since it was done in Mexico they could not help me. Only thing they would do was the 2 cleanings. They lost my business. Dr. Hasan welcomed me and fixed my issue the next day. read more

In October 2023 I unfortunately trusted the business office of Aspen Dental in Port Orange, Florida as they deceived me on the financial end. I was needing a clear dental report before proceeding with a hip replacement surgery and needed dental work done immediately. The charge for having a few teeth pulled and filled was $6800. I had dental insurance, but Aspen Account manager said I had to pay it all up front before they would do the work and they would submit the bill to my insurance company and refund me the covered amount. Long story shortened, Humana, my insurance company, said they do not cover the work done by Aspen. If I was informed of that from the beginning I would have never had Aspen do the work. (I would have gone to a dental company that I knew was honest and would have correctly informed me that they do not take Humana Insurance). I feel like I was strung along from the beginning and to this day Aspen is "investigating" my claim for insurance coverage (over 1.5 years now). And when I went back last month to check on the progression of my claim (for the 5th time or more) they said they are still working on it......right.........and a couple of weeks ago I received another bill for $258 for work supposedly done 1.5 years ago for charges that I was never informed of. I am writing this review to hopefully help anyone who has dental insurance to make sure your procedure is covered before you pay or you too could be misled to pay the whole amount and never have your insurance company pay for anything. On the positive side, the actual dental work done was acceptable. I'm just a senior who had to charge my dental work and will probably be making payments with interest for a long time to come. They didn't care about letting me know upfront as I felt they knew they didn't work with Humana Insurance (just as long as they got their money at any cost to me) from the beginning (or should have known and given me the choice as to whether to proceed with the work). read more

Went in to the Dunlawton Rd facility with tooth on the upper left. She had lower left tooth pulled and the left eye tooth. She did tooth build up on several and a couple of crowns. Still having tooth pain upper left. I went back and she sent me to a specialist for a root canal which needed another crown. Had appointments cancelled once when I showed up for the appointment and finally was told they no longer accepted my Delta Dental insurance. Still have pain upper left and now I need to find another dentist. Talked to Delta Dental and they are still listed as a provider. read more

I went to another reputable dentist after going to Aspen and am even more upset than before. After another oral examination and X-rays, second dentist found a highly suspicious area of concern on my upper gum. They asked if Previous dentist (Aspen) mentioned this to me, and of course not. Aspen even did a cancer screening mouth exam for $40! I am now being sent to an oral surgeon for possible biopsy to determine if pathology is cancer. First off I hate Dentists, but ASPEN DENTAL was MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!! From the second you walk in to the second you wank out, your pampered. My dentist knew I was terrified and did everything to keep me calm, happy and at ease. I'm now 4 days out after removing numerous lower molars on one side and the pain has crazy. She always has to call her insurance to call them to say they have to accept the insurance payment. Because of this they always are cancelling her appts. I went to Aspen Dental with tooth decay reaching my gums that was clearly visible on my back tooth that was cracked open, instead of doing what they said when I first called and cleaning out the area and fixing it immediately as best as they could so I would be in less pain, they instead proceeded to talk me into getting my other wisdom teeth removed & did not do any kind of cleaning or removing of the immediate problem like they had promised on their phone service. The staff was wonderful until I got to the main Dr. She seemed insistent on having tons of extra work done on me that was not even necessary. The reason I know this is because I had gone to a different doctor prior and they did not require the 4 extra procedures she claimed would probably work but was not sure. Then when I didn't want to do one of her procedures and wanted an alternative option she got snappy and claimed she's refer me to a Specialist She never came back with the paper and then the secretary suggested an appointment for every extra procedure that I just got done telling the Dr. I did not want. It seemed obvious that patient care came second to $$$ and the concern really wasn't to take the patient out of pain like they said on the phone. No progress was made and my teeth still have an abscess forming in the back of my tooth that is visible. Was not impressed consultation and X-rays free but Dentist barely looked in my mouth. I was given a proposal for what needed to be done of over $7000 dollars. They said I had periodontal disease and needed deep cleaning for like $800 and root canal 2 crowns core build up. I knew my tooth did not hurt so was thinking root canal not needed. So I asked for copy of my xrays from them and went to Dr Staudt in port orange. They gave me a free consultation and said I needed 1 crown redone not 2. I have some decay under crown has to removed and new one put on. Total cost for decay removal and crown $795. Had my teeth cleaned no periodontal disease regular cleaning $65. Beware this place scares me and really makes me mad trying to take advantage of people. Who wants to have dental work done they don't even need. This dentist office is a large chain, as soon as you walk in they are having you fill out the normal papers but also sneak in a form for financing that threw me off right away as I have always attended a family smaller practice dentist that was honest, only recommended things I needed done and didn't ever try to rip me off or my insurance. They told me I needed a deep cleaning, I have had one of these my entire life and insurance covered it, then my older daughter has them every 3 months covered. It was 900 and they told me it was because of a antibiotic, I went to my old dentist 4 hours away, had a regular deep cleaning covered, then they told me I needed 1000 worth of work for a crown and fillings I paid $160 for all my fillings and the crown is scheduled and isn't 820 for sure. I've never seen a dentist office work so hard to assist in our overall goals for our oral health. Advertised as an "emergency dentist" so I went there last evening after dislodging a temporary veneer for a quick re-gluing. The process of gluing the temporary veneer at my dentist took just under 5 minutes. So the very kind receptionist stated it would be $72 just to see the dentist, then another $147 to re-glue the veneer. But she stated you could reduce that amount if you had the "new patient" visit which would include a complete oral evaluation with x-rays.......sounded completely like a scam/fraud deal to me!!! Let me begin by saying that I have been a patient with Aspen dental for several years. However, it wasn't until October of 2018 where I began having terrible experiences with the customer service exhibited at the Port Orange, FL location. In October, my appoint was cancelled by Aspen staff multiple times due to scheduling conflicts on their end. I voiced my opinion and was reassured that I wouldn't be inconvenienced again. Fast forward to now and I have experienced the exact same treatment yet again, however, this time, my appointments were cancelled twice within two weeks and less than two hours before my appointment! Like many patients, I try to schedule my appointments around my work schedule. The Port Orange staff called me on April 3rd to cancel my appointment which was scheduled for that afternoon. Their reason was that they didn't have enough hygienists. They rescheduled my appointment for April 18th and called me an hour and a half prior to my appointment to advise that they had cancelled my appointment. When I brought forth my concern, they weren't even aware that they had cancelled two weeks prior. I called back to speak with the office manager Jackie, who was just as useless. She said that there wasn't anything she could do except have me come back another day. When I asked for a corporate number or a customer satisfaction number she refused to provide it to me and stated that she couldn't find one and that I should call back. Needless to say, I had to contact another office (the one where I began services and farther away from my home) to obtain the customer satisfaction number and to schedule an appointment. All in all, I would NEVER do business with the Port Orange location again!!! I'd rather travel just to have great customer service and to feel valued as a patient! read more
