The dental hygienist I had today to do my deep cleaning was amazing !!!!!!! She numbed me . Was so gentle . She was kind . Was a pretty fast in out of there in 50 min . Explained everything she was Doing and info on my gum meds . She was great . I was so anxious going in there . It was easy breezy :) . Ty . I wish my insurance would have covered more . I needed to have a painful tooth extracted and called Aspen Dental for the cost of that procedure. I was told the extraction would be $210. On this information I booked an appointment for the next day. I went through the preliminary process and I was then told the cost would be $458, when I mentioned the amount I'd been quoted the day before, I was told that I had been given the wrong amount and that I shouldn't have been quoted that in the first place. Given that I was in quite bad pain, I had no alternative but to have the offending tooth removed. I did question the amount they wanted to charge me and I was told that as it was a "surgical" procedure, as opposed to a simple procedure and that determined the amount they wanted to charge. I have since researched the average cost of tooth removal and it would appear that a simple procedure, which mine was, cost an average of $177 to $275. A simple extraction is a couple of numbing injections and the tooth being pulled out. I am of the opinion that Aspen are quite happy to hike the price probably because they are a large corporation. To say I am unhappy with what they have charged would be a gross understatement. I know that I'll never use them again and if any of my friends ask me for dental recommendation, Aspen will certainly NOT be one of them. Thank you Aspen for ripping me off. read more

Do not use Aspen Dental New Port Richey. Told by staff that payment needs to be made prior to scheduling any appointment. Have a 5 pm appointment today, scheduled months ago, was just called 2 hours before appointment and told I needed to pay over $1,000 for the cleaning appointment today. Very bad business practices, in the early 2020 just before the pandemic I had a cell dentures made. They gave me the temporaries couldn't go back because of the pandemic to pick up my dentures after almost a year I went back. They told me that those were my dentures I settles for that, those temporary dentures may be cracked about three times I went back there to have them repaired. I got fed up with cracking. I bought a new set of dentures. I had them for about a year and a half and they cracked. I want to have them repaired. I spent a total of five hours there they wanted to sell me something else they took x-rays of my uppers and my lowers. I kept telling them I only wanted my dentures repaired cause they were cracked so they finally finished them and the same day I picked them up. They were broken again they cracked, I called them up to have them repaired again now they're telling me that I need a new pair of dentures so it's obvious they don't want to fix them the proper way they just want to sell me a new pair of upper dentures by the time I walked out of there they told me they can do uppers and lowers for total of $30,000 never go back there again read more

My wife has received the worst customer service from this company. They have overcharged and put her on a recurring payment plan she never agreed to. They have given us the runaround since we ted to resolve the situation. Call corporate, call tire finance department, call the office. Meanwhile e are trying to care for two children and working six fats a week each just to make ends meet. This is ridiculous. So unprofessional. I had teeth removed and a full upper denture denture made. The denture is too big and I went back but all they did was add a "cushion liner" still too big. They didn't understand that is is too wide, thick and long. I yawn, smile try to drink from a cup and it falls down, I feel it rock all the time. I will not be back, finding another place to get a PROPER fitting denture made. read more

Dr. Shiva - 5 stars for sure! Transferred my dental care to Florida. Had chipped teeth that needed to be fixed. Dr. Shiva Soleimani did an amazing job! She is a bit of a perfectionist which I loved when it comes to creating and applying veneers to my smile. She took extra time with me and ensured I was getting the end result I hoped for. I was concerned about going to a 'franchise' dental office but the office staff took my fears away. I am so very thankful we found Dr Shiva and her team. I have had many 3d xrays done over the past year and Pedro is one of the best. Kelly cleaned my teeth and was so efficient and cared! I will definitely go back to this office. :) read more

Everything was absolutely wonderful Paige the Dental Hygenist/tech was so accommodating and sweet and Dr. Carmona was so gentle and took it very slow and did everything to comfort me and calm me down. I have extremely bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist and haven't been in years. I had to get a tooth extracted so I didn't have a choice but to go in. We are vacationing here and unfortunately can not go back to this location but we would in a heartbeat! Thank you again for such a pleasurable and very comfortable experience! This is completely a scam operation. Being told I cannot have a regular cleaning because I am supposed to have a "deep cleaning", that insurance, of course, doesn't cover, first, is complete Bovine Excrement. I have been going to the dentist every 6 months for years, and having regular cleanings, with no issue at all. Basically, they don't make enough profit off of insurance payments. So, therefore have to come up with some way to make extra money. The way I know this is they told my husband the exact same thing. Also, they never had any intention of cleaning my teeth, when I went in. The equipment had none of the suction, water, air nor cleaning tools on the equipment table. This must be their MO for every new patient. Beware, insurance holders. Do not go there. They may say they accept your insurance, but in actuality, they don't. They want your insurance money and the extra they are going to charge you for unnecessary treatments that could be optional. read more

Aspen dental does not even deserve the one star but I didn't have the option to completely eliminate these crooks. This place in Port Richey is the worst dentists I have ever been to . I am not sure why they tried me but I suspect they may be racists. I made an appointment with them for my lady who isn't fluent in english. She is on disability and has been diagnosed with a bad liver. On the day of that said appointment they called me and canceled. I called them that same day and made another appointment as she actually liked Aspen because she had a good experience at Aspen's Tampa location. On the day of the second appointment, we walked in and they told us , they didn't have us on their appointment log and blamed us for making the appointment with their call center instead of them. They also said there was a possibility that their next client wouldn't make their appointment and we could wait. I wanted to leave this incompetent office but my lady insisted so I gave, after all , she was the one in real pain. The next appointment didn't show so they gave us their spot and we were called in. They explained what they could do for us but once it was our turn , that changed. The actual dentist was pretty good and helped her the best he could. The managers are the problem as the work was minimal but super expensive. They charged nearly $6000 for an x-ray , examination and extraction of two teeth. They never even did a follow up as they used all our monies for the year and she is now in pain. This place showed no good customer service practices as it is all about how much money they can grab. If ever I had any respect for a business , this certainly would not be it . I hope they go bankrupt !!! read more

After all my paperwork was filled out and x-rays were taken and I asked how much would my extraction be I was told they don't take my insurance and my secondary was not in network. I told them I was told they were. It seemed like bait and switch to me. You go and find out you're not covered but you hurt so bad you except. When I first started going to this location, they were great. In the last year, after much dental work, I can't get them to call me back. I've waited a month and a half, finally I got a human, not vm. I was told they're retrieving their messages, apparently all of my messages were not there. This was not a one time issue, it's happened numerous times. In addition, their wait times are becoming ridiculous. After giving them my dental insurance they told me it would be x amount. Then after everything was done they raised it and said the insurance didn't cover everything. THEN I get a letter from my insurance company telling me how much they paid and it doesn't match the paperwork Aspen gave me. I called Aspen and they said "ya sometimes" they overcharge and keep the excess money attached to your account for the next time you come back in.... Sorry but that sounds like fraud and to me. I went to have tooth extractions and get a partial. I sat with a guy, think name was Bobby. Anyways, he told me that the insurance would cover everything except for $266 that needed to be collected before they started, so I paid, being led to believe that I was then good with everything. I got the usual cleaning, ect and when I was leaving was given a power toothbrush and lead to believe it was for new patients as a thank you. Staff,except Bobby was friendly. He changed one of my appointments without notifying me, claimed he called and left me a message. I checked my phone and told him I had nothing and he said I must have deleted it. I did not but he sure tried to make me feel stupid in front of other patients in the waiting room as I left. The dentist could not get temporary partials to fit without sores in my mouth. She attempted to fix a chipped front tooth and put on so much bonding material I couldn't even bit through a sandwich. After sanding profusely I could somewhat eat but it was painful. No way was I going back for more of that. My front tooth broke in half. I went to another wonderful Aspen clinic in Trinity. I called to get a credit for the $266 and I was told I couldn't get it because I took the toothbrush home!!!! Don't bother leaving your generic message you've left all the other about contacting customer service. They're just as bad. read more

Started back in May 2020; was given treatment plan and expected amount to pay. In June, I paid off my portion... Aspen Dental was filing claims with the wrong insurance company. At 4:30pm the evening before my surgery was scheduled, I got a call informing me I'd have to pay an additional $750. Pushed surgery off to July 20, paid the $750. The surgery was horrible - they did a complete botch job on the extractions, gums didn't heal right and 7 months later I still have bone spurs. For four months, they continued to file claims to the wrong insurance company, despite my repeated calls to them to beg them to correct their mistakes. They finally got it filed correctly, but now, oops... because of their mistake I now supposedly owe an additional $1500. When I called the office about the balance was told to disregard the bill, it was a clerical error on their part. Last week of January , I go in for my fitting for final dentures and Bobby Batista (the office manager) tells me I now owe $1700. He calls the regional office and gets approval for a payment arrangement, and I think everything is fine. Today, I go in for my final/permanent dentures and now he's saying that they won't honor the payment arrangement... despite the fact they've collected another $250 from me in two weeks. Dr. Shiva Soleimani is the managing partner and refuses to speak to anyone. So here I am, out over $2000 with immediate dentures that NEVER fit properly (and I was told not to worry about it because my permanent dentures would be fine). I cannot say enough how much I DO NOT recommend anyone trust these crooks. I have contacted an attorney, and will also be filing complaints with the FL Board of Dentristy. read more

If you chose Aspen and need to have a procedure done with several different steps, make sure you keep your receipts and all of your paper work, as the prices seem to change with each visit. Not happy at all. I have made 4 appointments by phone and I go for my appointment and I am not in the system. I have been in the office and heard many of the people talk about all the problems they have had there with getting their dentures right. I truly understand their pain. I spent a small fortune on the best dentures you have and they sit in the cup as they don't fit right and they literally make me sick. The atmosphere here is more like a store than a place where you receive any kind of care. It feels like they try to up-sell you on everything rather than offering you the best advice for your dental care. They tell you that you need procedures you don't need and can't explain why you need them (because you don't). Their website lists an emergency number and claims they will get you an appointment with an emergency dentist. That is a complete lie. I recently had a dental emergency- I was in excruciating pain. Unfortunately for me, it was early in the morning on a weekend. Here's the scenario: The emergency number takes you through many prompts, which is really the last thing you want to deal with when you are in that kind of pain. When you get someone, they tell you that someone will call you back within 20 min. Half an hour later, you call them back because no one ever called. They tell you the same thing. Another half an hour later, you call back again to tell them no one has called you yet. By this point, you can no longer speak and have a family member calling them for you. The operator explains that the on-call dentist is not responding, and neither is the back-up on-call dentist. She explains that if you go to the hospital they may be able to give you pain killers and hopefully someone can see you that same day. No one provided any recommendations or instructions for temporary pain relief. Not even so much as "Take some Advil in the meantime." They certainly did not get me an appointment with an emergency dentist. They did not even make me an appointment to see my own dentist. You would think the dentist would at least call when business hours resumed, but no. I still have yet to hear back from anyone at Aspen Dental. This place does not care about you, they will not help you, and GOOD LUCK if you have any kind of dental emergency. read more

If I could give this group of "dentists" a zero I would. They abuse the elderly and are fraudulent. My 82 year old father had his teeth removed a year ago by this group. They have been fitting him for dentures for a YEAR and they still don't fit. He can't eat any hard food. Now he has an oral lesion from the poor fitting dentures. I spoke with Jenna who refused to allow me to speak for my father. They are unprofessional and horrible. I can't express how terrible this group is . I was happy with my Dr. and the pain free process. I was terrified but it ended up being fine.. I had a wisdom tooth removed as well as another tooth. I was not happy with the fact that in my initial visit they informed me that I was able to take something ahead of time to ease my nerves but then neglected to prescribe anything to me and I assumed it was all a part of the visit and they'd give it to me there but I was wrong. I don't know why no one informed me, I don't go to the doctor that often and I am not aware of the process. I ended up having to go through with the wisdom tooth removal with only numbing and like I said everything ended up being okay but some people (myself) are terrified of the dentist and I was unhappy with the lack of information I was given. I really am terrified of dentists..but Dr.Goh at Aspen dental is the best dentist ever! I had to have full extractions & get dentures. Dr Goh & Jacqueline did my extractions...a great team. A Beatles song came on while they were prepping...there we are, everyone singing the Beatles at the top of our lungs...what a nice ice breaker! Needless to say, I was terrified...after my sedation pill & some novacaine....they went to work. I felt NO PAIN, shocked...I even fell asleep at half time! The whole process is great, from The dentists, to the very attentive dental staff, ( love Gina, Jacqueline & Mandy), to the front office & finance staff awesome! They were even 1300$ cheaper than another dentist I got a bid from. Only complaint is they dropped the ball dispensing the RXs for my pre surgery & post surgery drugs. Left me with no pain pills the first night after surgery!!!! I had to return on the morning of my surgery to get my sedation RX ( I'd been in there several times prior, no one gave it to me, then I called and asked, then it was oh can u come get it ! ) Didn't give me my pain pill RX till after surgery. My boyfriend took it to Walgreens immediately, it's 7pm when we left... Walgreen's was busy & didn't fill it till the next morning! When I went that morning they should have given me both, seeing I was the last patient and would be getting out late....and didn't give me the RX for the swelling med until I went back the next day Overall really great team, nice people, and the financing was easy...poor people ( like me) sometimes have no choice...Thanks Aspen dental U ROCK , and my teeth are beautiful! I had my first appointment yesterday in the Port Richey office. I was apprehensive even more than I usually am after reading some reviews elsewhere. So . . . I called the day before my appointment and was mostly reassured all would be ok. My husband and I arrived early, even though I had completed the paperwork on line as there are still forms to sign. I was called back within minutes of my appointment time to have panoramic xrays AND the most THOROUGH wing-bite xrays I have EVER experienced. AND if you go elsewhere, and they hurt you. . .tell them there is a solution: tiny soft rubber strips your technician can put on the wings! No messy cotton wads or gauze rolled up! That was the 1st thing for which I was pleased. Then I was taken to the exam room where the hygienist LISTENED to my concerns and answered all my questions. She did her part of the exam. . .the probe/number thing lol. . .and then suggested what I might need. She went for the xrays to share with the dentist, Dr. Herbert Goh. Minutes later, Dr. Goh appeared by my side and introduced himself as Herbert! He listened to all concerns as well--I had a sadist/child abuser for a dentist as a kid; seriously; as adults, we share our horror stories with my Mom and she cried! as that dentist treated adults correctly. Anyway, Dr. Goh reviewed my xrays with me, then examined my mouth, and suggested a treatment plan to start immediately as I had an infection in a lower tooth and gum: a cleaning TODAY, he said, and an antibiotic TODAY on that area; a fluoride treatment that would NOT cause me the problems I've had in the past (and it was fine) and an otc vitamin to help the tissues in my mouth to heal. The cleaning was very thorough and I did NOT need any numbing gel like I usually do! The fluoride lacquer was applied with no side effects, the antibiotic was injected without discomfort; a better floss for me was suggested; and we were out the door in a little over an hour! Six months and I STILL can't use my dentures except to eat. When I tell the techs what's happening, they ignore what I say. Then, I find out that the temporary dentures they gave me (which are ugly, have air bubbles, and are WAY too big for my mouth now) are going to be my permanent dentures just with a different type of liner in them. Almost $4,000 (four thousand dollars) spent for not an ounce of satisfaction. I will NEVER use Aspen Dental again and would never recommend the Port Richey office to anyone. Aspen dental was actually the worst dental company I have ever been too for dental work. I told them my son needs a cleaning because he's getting his braces off. I said, he just needs a standard cleaning not a deep cleaning. I took him to the appointment for his exam and xrays when he was done they said to me. Oh good, your son doesn't need a deep cleaning he needs a gingivitis cleaning which is a 2 step process that will cost you 357.00. These people are out of their minds. I know my son does not have gingivitis or the beginning stages....I used to be a dental assistant. Do they think I'm stupid? A deep cleaning is for gingivitis, so what change the name and they think I wouldn't know that it's the same thing. I have never in my life had to pay over 120.00 for just a cleaning and that was not that long ago. read more

Went with my husband to this facility, we had a 10:15 appointment and arrived around 10:00. My husband wanted to get new dentures, and their ad says you can get them done in days instead of weeks. We needed to wait for the x-ray machine to become available (supposed to be around 10:30). After waiting until 11:00 for the x-ray tech to finish what she was doing, my husband said, "Let's go!" My concern was that there was a woman in the lobby who had been there since 8:30 and was still waiting for her impressions to be done. I think this place schedules way too many appointments for the required time. We will not be going back. read more
