Beware of this dental office. At first, everyone is extremely friendly while they're trying to sell you a treatment plan. In my case, we agreed on a treatment plan and a total price. I paid the full amount a few thousand dollars, through Cherry Financing, which meant the dental office was paid in full upfront, and I made my payments to Cherry. I want to point out that the doctor himself is very friendly and professional. However, I was repeatedly told by the office staff that the doctor is not in charge of pricing, billing, or deciding what is or is not covered under the treatment plan. That made it very frustrating because even if the doctor discussed my treatment with me, the office staff claimed his decisions did not determine what I would ultimately be charged. Halfway through my treatment, the office staff--who, unfortunately, were often dismissive and belittling--told me I owed additional money because the doctor had performed extra work. While the doctor did mention he would be doing an additional step, he never told me there would be an extra charge. If I had known beforehand, I could have made an informed decision. When I questioned the charge, the attitude toward me changed completely. Even the office manager, who had always greeted me before, stopped acknowledging me when I came in. Eventually, we reached a compromise where I paid only a percentage of the additional charge since I had never been informed of the extra cost in advance. To make matters worse, my final deep cleaning was never completed because the office claimed it was not included in my original treatment plan and that I would have to pay out of pocket. I showed them the original treatment plan, which I believed supported my understanding, but they still refused to complete the treatment without additional payment. My experience taught me to get every detail in writing and to ask specifically whether any part of your treatment could result in additional charges. The doctor was always kind, but the billing practices and the way I was treated by the office staff after questioning unexpected charges left me very disappointed. read more

The Smile Mission truly lives up to its name. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. The paperwork process is a bit unconventional, which gave me a laugh--it's not your typical dental office--but the staff more than made up for it. Everyone was incredibly friendly and personable. Catherine, my hygienist, and Kiera, the coordinator, were both exceptional--professional, kind, and attentive. The dentist I saw (whose name I unfortunately didn't catch) was so compassionate and thorough, taking time to explain everything clearly. I came in needing a root canal on tooth 15 (top left molar). It's a tough one--lots of roots and overlapping a nerve--but they were transparent about the complexity and strongly recommended a specialist from the start rather than risking complications. I truly appreciated that honesty. Here's the part that floored me: with my insurance, they quoted just $663 for the root canal and crown--a drastic difference from what I've been quoted at other offices. I'll be returning for the crown work, which they estimated at only $362.50 after insurance. They also have two massage chairs in the waiting room, which adds a little touch of comfort you don't expect from a dental office. The women's restroom was very clean, though the hot water wasn't working--a minor issue in an otherwise fantastic experience. I've always dreaded the cost of dental care, but The Smile Mission helped me worry less and smile more. They offer flexible financing options and genuinely care about helping patients afford the care they need. Highly recommend. read more

Had an implant done by them and the experience was very good all around. They have fair pricing and the dental hygienists are all very friendly and nice. One even drives a c8 corvette like me (how cool is that?) My implant process went perfectly and I'm very happy with it - I can chew normal again and looks better than before. read more

I cannot even begin to say how upset I am. I went in for a free consultation. Before I even got to discuss anything they started taking x-rays. Which I am against I do not want radiation unnecessarily. After waiting for almost an hour, they asked what I was looking for when I stated whitening and subtle bonding. They stated they don't do that. We've been out of whitening from since February. It is now the end of May when I tried to rush the process along I was advised that the dentist was in surgery and this was a Saturday what a train wreck of an operation. I never write unless they're good, but this should not be tolerated. Oh, and if I wanted the panoramic x-ray I would've had to have a thumb drive with me. Buyer beware. read more

This is the BEST dentist. Pricing, gentle care, efficiency, speed are just a few of the amazing things this dentist has gone above and beyond with. Getting my first tooth pulled after six years of not going to the dentist I was terrified and broke, the dental assistant rubbed my arm as I cried and hyperventilated, and I will never forget the comfort she provided me. Other dentist told me I needed $13,000 worth of work done- the smile mission told me I needed 1300$. I now feel like I can keep up with my dental work and stay on top of getting everything done now that it's affordable for me and I know that I'm in good hands. I hope this has convinced you because you're doing yourself a disservice by not switching to this dentist. read more

This place is unbelievable. They charge you up front and then bill your insurance. The insurance company pays them and then when you try to get your money reimbursed, they play games with you, won't call you back. Then I finally got my check and deposited it only to be told by my bank that the dentist's office did a stop payment. They are fraudulent and will be turned over to the ADA for investigation. read more

The staffed and the dentist are very pleasant, experienced and provided a pleasant visit again today. My ongoing treatment has been nothing but professional for the last two months . Staff has been so friendly and provided information when I had questions and would recommend this location to anyone needing dental work myself I done a total extraction, followed by implants and permanent dentures. Approx 8 months ago I went to smile missions and was going to have two implants. I applied from cherry and paid off 2,000.00 which they paid to dents office. When my appointment came up I had to reset as I came down with covid, Shortly after I moved to Port St Lucie. So after 8 months I called to set an appointment to get the work done. I called to confirm everything the day before the appt. as it is a 3 and 1/2 hour drive to get to the office one way only to be told they would not honor the price they quoted and it was going to cost me an additional 1,000.00. I told her no and just refund the money I had paid which she told me ok but she had to get in touch with the manager as it would have to be a check, I explained that was fine, It's been 9 days no check and I called again and was told another story as they have to figure out how to get the money back to Cherry. I'm tired of waiting. I want the money that I paid and they have had for 10 months. This week they informed me that I would have to drive 7 hours to [pick up the check. Anything they can do to not give me my money back, I have filed a complaint with the BBB, State attorney General, FTC, CFPB. and next week will contact local media. All they had to do was to do what was right and do what the first lady promised and we would not be here. They should be refunding me the 2,000.00 plus the money I padi on the first appt. My journey so far started with a consultation 3 weeks before my procedure at the Ocala Florida location. (I was planning a trip to Turkey before I found The Smile Mission in Ocala!) The clinic is in a strip mall in an older but nice area. Inside you find a well-organized, efficient, clean, and comfortable facility. My initial contact started through email, in which I filled out some information sent some photographs and explained what I was looking for. (All on four.) The ensuing communications through email were very informative, and the doctor even answered me directly. These people are on it! I scheduled an appointment to come to an in-person consultation because I live only 2 and 1/2 hours away. Upon arrival I was greeted by the office Staff, and completed a bit more paperwork. They took me for 3D scans, and placed me in a room for my consultation. The Dr. performed my consultation, reviewed all the scans that were just taken, discussed with me my specific situation and how they would perform the procedure to get what I needed and wanted. The doctor was not rushed, took his time, and answered all my questions. Honestly I was impressed. A staff member then came in and went over the final cost of my procedures. The invoice was incredibly detailed. I appreciated that. I decided to move forward and we set the date. Now the staff, the staff is just amazing. There's no other word for it. They are happy and joyous and treat guests like they are precious jewels. Seriously, these people are joyful. On Tuesday, February 25th, I began my journey for real. This day they did impressions and more x-rays and we discussed having 28 extractions for the following day. On Wednesday the 26th, the team and the doctor performed all of my extractions. They gave me aftercare information, prescriptions, and I was to return to next morning. On Thursday the 27th, I returned to the clinic and the team fitted the temporary dentures I would be using for the next 3 months. Honestly I was miserable because of the extractions the day before. But the team, they are unwaveringly joyful and caring. So this is my fourth day after surgery. I am uncomfortable and swollen, but I am -not- in massive pain. I am just very uncomfortable. And the Meds are working. That's really important. These people really care and they do good work. Two things that are imperative if you're going to have major dental work. I will be traveling back for a couple of checkups during the healing phase. And if I need anything at all I can just reach out, they are prompt communicators. went to the office in New Port Richey: had to have crown made, had cleaning then had deep cleaning. spent over $2,000. Still had more work to do and was told that I had to pay in advance $1,800 before I could even make the appointment. I have no problem paying for work that is to be done-on the day of the appointment. But to HAVE TO PAY THE FEE IN ADVANCE OF THE APPOINTMENT . BECAUSE ACCORDING TO THE RECEPTIONIST You have to pay make an appointment with the dentist. there is a tip jar in the waiting room. Tacky tacky. read more

Givig a big Thankyou to Michael the Lab Tech at the smile mission.He is absolutely wonderful.I had been elsewhere and had lower dentures made.They Never stayed in my mouth.So embarrassed going out to eat.They would popout whie I was chewing.I went t the mile mission and I'm I the process of getting the implants.He made me a new temporary denture until my gums heal completely.With that after a few minor adjustments.I have been able to eat.For the first time in months I felt comfortable eating out.
