So my wonderful, fantastic dentist became out of Network starting 2024. I have been going to her for multiple years and always have a great experience. I picked an HMO plan in October 2023 for the next years insurance. I received my shiny, new Cigna card and called to go ahead and find a new dentist. The closest to my house was a Dentist with ASPEN DENTAL(they are actually the only company that I can go see with my new HMO. I set up a visit to get a cleaning with them. I went to the first visit and they did the whole taking Xrays and checking out my teeth. The hygenist came in and looked at my mouth and after about 5 minutes, looked at me and said "Has anyone ever told you that you have Periodontal disease". NO - I have never been told that. After a quick description and the horror stories of me losing all of my teeth coupled w/ bleeding gums and intense pain warnings, she rushed me to the "money lady" and they advised it would be $3,150 for the periodontal cleaning. But the insurance would pay for it (all but the $150 dollar toothbrush). They had an opening in 10 minutes to start the treatment - "sign here so we can get you in". "But I just came in for a cleaning" I pleaded. "Sir, you are way beyond that". So - I'm in sales and this felt like some high pressure they were delivering. I scheduled the treatment for two weeks off and left. I HAD NO SYMPTOMS OF PERIODONTAL DISEASE - no pain when flossing or chewing; no red swollen gums, etc. Then I started researching ASPEN and their tactics. I read stories all over and a dear friend that I was recounting this story to said the EXACT SAME thing happened to her. So I went back to my old dentist and paid out of pocket for a cleaning and a second opinion. GUESS WHAT? The treatment they were about to put me through was 100% unnecessary. The periodontal Treatment would not have done a single thing! Please avoid this practice. I really felt dirty and lied to when I left there. I waited for 75 minutes as a new patient; was never asked to fill out paperwork but was adamantly told to be patient and that they were short staffed. So I waited patiently. When I approached the receptionist and mentioned it had been 75 minutes since my arrival - she just looked at me. I explained that I arrived early per their request but it appeared they overbooked. I then stated that I couldn't wait any further and would have to look at possibly rescheduling. The receptionist just looked at me and said, "Oh-ok." Not even a sorry or an attempt to reschedule me. I wouldn't ever recommend this place to even clean my teeth, I go here for some cavity repair only to leave with teeth in worse pain, had them done in December 2022, still hurts July 2023. To top it all of they've been holding money that I'm supposed to have reimbursed for appointments I cancelled and despite being told multiple times it is being done, 6 months and still no money so I'm actually about to pursue legal action with the help of my families lawyer read more

I was very unhappy with the work that I received from Aspen Dental .Wayover priced. Wanting one tooth I had a root canal years ago that had come out Needed one crown. They pulled a good tooth and put me a new crown with three teeth on it. I knew nothing of them going to pull My tooth. Just make sure to keep up with everything they are doing if you do go to them. I have paid money to get my mouth fixed, still had money left over and they refuse to provide me with a refund. I will be contacting BBB and file a report. The company I am with now does not have them as a provider. Never can get anyone on the phone, always put it on hold then they just hang up on me. Lovely customer service. The only thing I want is my refund. any other company gives a refund not them if you overpaid. read more

never could get them on the phone when needed too but they plaster your email.. went in 2 times both times teeth were made wrong.. went to hospital and they acted like it was the end of the world I could not keep my appointment because I was in the hospital...they set the payments up to mail off this company they got me a loan for my dentures to be due on the 3rd day after I get paid..or I will have to pay a 38.00 late fee..now they will not answer their phones to help me with this during open hours and I get the closed hour message read more

Update: I get a text message on the 27th wanting to reschedule my appointment on the 28th to some time the following week. What part of me being out of the county at that time do they not understand. They told me time and time again that I would have my dentures by the time I went on vacation. I guess it is okay to tell you anything to get your money. This place is beyond horrible....The Front desk staff were straight up ignoring people coming in and looked like they despized people! The energy alone kills it all! Aspen "Shady" Dental is what this is...not affordable at all! Called made appt lady said $62 for cleaning and X-rays first visit...walk in get teeth cleaned all done $100 they couldnt honor price given over phone! (Website has 20% coupon for first time visit only and that must be present to receive discount....of course!) Make money, as much as possible! So 1st visit was a little frustrating but I'll try again already have been there just want to get teeth cleaned. Had a icky feeling after seeing the front desk staff I walk up say hello and not one lady moved a muscle felt ice cold like ok wow I'm ready to cancel this now. I googled Aspen "Shady" dental....curious to see if I'm not the only 1 who wants to run out the door! This location is nice but corporate money hungry training is what this looks like.
