Needed a dentist that helps for people with no insurance. Took advantage of the free exam and X-rays, but was not offered a cleaning. The results of the free exam was a two-step $581 cleaning. My normal dentist charges about $100 for a cleaning and does it in one step. Excessive wait times when I had an appointment. Do not recommend. read more

One star is too much for Aspan dental they are very very unprofessional liners and crooks, I did there a partial denture and was told 2 years of warranty, one week after I got my partial denture I already had a problem, while talking to the office manager one of the nurses interrupted me and was talking to the manager above me, so I said something and the manager and the nurse were talking Russian and asked me if I speak Russian?! I do not speak or understand Russian so the Russian mafia decided not to let me enter the office being band for ever from the office without a valid explanation, they also had to send me a letter about it, but it didn't happen!! The manager Logen is very unprofessional and rude, he always tries to squeeze money out of the patient and sees him as a client/ATM machine not a patient! I paid my denture in full, when my day arrived to get the new denture, he called me to his office telling me I owe $1500, it took me an hour to show and make him understand it was paid, he is such a jerk. They are using cheap materials for crowns and dentures. After one week a crown that holds the new dentures fell off, the crown was made by Aspan dental 2 years ago, I went back to the office to glue it back, but the doctor that didn't see me decided to do x rays, I told them I do not need more radiation to my head because I did too many and it can cause cancer, and I told them I will sign my refusal, their next move was to send me away with a new denture I can't use. Tried to call customer service, but there is no customer service where to complain! So if you want to waste your money, to get unprofessional treatment and an attempt to be robed, this is the place! read more

I had my Invisalign treatment at this location and it was the worst decision I've made. Every appointment was a different dentist and my outcome was not what it was supposed to be. In fact, my teeth are worst now than what they were before the treatment. Management did not care at all as to find a solution for my situation. Unfortunately, I lost a lot of money to this place, and they wanted a lot more to replace a lost set of retainers from 2 days prior when I had finished the treatment, they wanted to do X-rays and other things when treatment was just finished 2 days prior, and absolutely nothing was different, just to get more money out of me. I will not recommend this dentist practice, there are better places out there where staff is nicer and actually care about their patients. read more

Went to get a tooth reattached to my denture and they insisted I had to have xray. I refused and walked out. Just a ploy to get more money.

This Aspen Dental location used to be good but sadly has staff that is rude and unhelpful and a dentist who asked me why I didn't get my teeth cleaning somewhere else and refused to even look at my teeth in spite of my paying for a full dental cleaning!! I was shocked at his rudeness as it was clear when I told him I'd already had X-rays a week ago he was all about the money!! Definitely I don't spend money when people treat me rudely. On the other hand I can highly recommend Dentists at Stickney Point who are welcoming, honest and aren't all about the money. Beware of this Aspen Dental location!! Recently switched insurance, Aspen was in network, tried to schedule a cleaning. Had all recent X-rays sent over, but they still insisted on a full set. The X-rays didn't match their format so they wanted to start over. Just another charge for the insurance company. All I wanted was a cleaning, which was to be six months since my last and they wanted to do full sets plus a review with dentist and another exam before scheduling a cleaning at a later date. Something didn't feel right about the office either. It seemed to lack the professional atmosphere of a traditional office. I left and decided to go back to my previous dentist. read more

Dealing with Aspen on Tamiami in Sarasota was the most unprofessional experience that we have ever been involved with. My wife's 40 year old frontal bridge began to fail while we were in town taking care of the grandkids for a couple of months. Aspen quoted us a ridiculous fee to complete the work and then backed it down $1100 when we balked. We finally agreed to a fee and time schedule which they said would be two weeks. Two months later they still had not started the work other than a $500+ cleaning that she had already had done by our family dentist before leaving home. The labwork for this place is prepared by an outfit in mainland China and of course it was placed on hold by U S Customs upon arrival, meaning we would have to stay an additional week which we could not do for medical reasons. They said they could have the labwork sent to an Aspen office in our home area for completing the work. After many efforts to try to reach someone at the Sarasota office to see what was going we were finally told that our local Aspen office did not want to do the work, so they would be refunding my fee paid. But the refund was $700+ less than what I had paid in, with their excuse being that the fee.charged was for the original cleaning which we knew was not necessary in the first place. Cutting to the chase, do not expect anything stated by these folks to come true, either from a business transaction or dental aspect. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR THESE SERVICES!!! read more

What a horrible Experience. Unorganized and actually they had to reschedule me twice for a surgery one time it was the day off because they didn't have nitrous and couldn't manage to get my prescription sent in. When I finally went for the work, I was nervous so had them do half to make sure it was OK keeping to the back teeth. It wasn't OK and when I went back to discuss it with them, they told me they would do nothing to fix it and pure pressured me to continue to get the rest of the work done which I declined and then not only tried to charge me for the unsatisfactory work that was completed but for the work that they hadn't done and had the audacity to bill me. Now I have to go to another dentist to have fixed what they did after this horrible experience I asked around and it turns out many people have had the same awful experience. Stay away! read more

I wanted to reach out with an update about Aspen dental in South Sarasota. I truly could not be more thankful that they helped me, I was in excruciating pain! (They did two root canals and crowns. ) When you are in such pain, you are I was thankful for people to help me. And I have to say there are a nice people that work there. But, I did find that they were trying to charge me before work was performed. I paid when services were performed or rendered. The total cost quoted, $4484.00 But... once the work was completed, they charged me an additional $170 than what I was told: So...With so much "negativity " in the world I try to always look at the brighter side. But...I also found a hiccup with my husband's dental care. We came in for a broken tooth on my husband's bridge and was quoted services and fees to repair his bridge. But... when reaching back to schedule an appointment to perform the services, we were told one thing ....then another ... then another...why they wouldn't perform the work. So moving forward we are looking for a different dental office. read more

I am having the worst experience with Aspen Dental's billing and customer service. Months after my dental appointment, I received an unexpected bill for $813.90. I was not expecting this bill as I paid for my visit in full after my procedure. Upon calling their customer service, it was determined that my insurance did not cover part(s) of the procedures and an addditonal $813.90 was owed. While not thrilled, I understood this charge and went to pay it. Upon trying to pay the $813.90, the balance on my account was $1,284.90. I talked to one of their billing specialist, and she could not determine why an additional $471.00 was owed (the billing documentaion supported the $813.90 amount). She instructed me to pay the balance, and call back in two weeks so they could resolve this discrepancy. If the $471.00 was not owed, Apen dental would refund my card. I have called back several times since this intital call (its been months) and they still cannot provide billing support for the extra $471.00 and will not refund me this money. Today, I attempted to speak to a customer service manager and the cusomter service rep told me they were unavailable and that I could not wait for her to free up. In my opionion if they can not support the extra $471.00 that was "owed" Aspen dental should provide me with a refund. I have had no luck getting any billing support or a refund. I visited this location to have a crown re-cemented and after being charged $279 dollars went home and within 2 hours the crown fell off! $279 dollars equals out to $139.50 an hour. I left a message but of course there was no return call so after several days called and was told there would be a charge to have to put back on again. This is absurd! $279 dollars for a POOR job only to be told I have to pay again? Why would I go back to the same dentist that did it poorly in the first place. Stay away from this place... read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. This company is so shady and unprofessional - adding hidden charges to your bill, scheduling appointments when the office isn't even open, double booking so you are waiting over a half hour...and the worst of it is they do not care. So what ever their ads say - do not believe it. They are unprofessional, unreliable and not worth the aggravation. This is a franchise operation interested primarily in taking your money. Your teeth and health are a secondary consideration at best. My Mom paid for a full extraction and denture replacement procedure. After eight months, she had only a "permanent" (mass-produced, ill-fitting) upper denture and "temporary" lower denture--and then was told that the "permanent" lower denture was not included in the $8500 (approx) procedure. Manpower shortages were blamed for numerous delays, numerous incremental appointments were of little consequence, initial assurances that insurance would pick up a small portion of our costs proved inaccurate, and staff errors and turnovers were blamed for "misunderstandings" for which WE had to pay. We have had to move to another dentistry practice for correction/completion of this work. Our costs will likely double before everything is complete. Avoid this operation like the plague. read more
