have NEVER, EVER in my entire 31 years of life been treated as I was today by the "nurse" named…read moreMelissa. We arrived early. I checked in, my dad signed the paper 2 people went back ahead of me, even though I arrived first, I just figured their appointment was before mine but had just arrived a bit late. No big deal. Then opens the door to calling my name ... "Nurse" Mellisa. As she opened the door, me and deddy took a picture, I begin to gather my items (charger, and wallet) to put back in my tiny backpack.As I was doing that my Deddy joked "she's a bit slow, I had to wait 30 minutes for her this morning (pure joke)" and she sided eyed him. We startee walking back to the room and she says "you have to turn your phone all the way off." I did so. I had a few questions as we got into the room and was setting my things down on the empty chair as she was directing, and taking my jacket off, like she said to. He answers were very short and rude, rolled her eyes even! I was thinking ..umm okay what in the world is wrong with this woman. I then told her if there was a possibility, I would like to keep one of the teeth the Oral surgen May be salvagable during consultation, but couldn't remember the number because it was in my phone. (Which was turned off)This PISSED her off pretty bad that I brought this up. Not sure why. She goes to find a vein and I tell her, as I do all phlebotomist - I'm a hard stick, sorry! It's hard for everyone to get a vein on me. Usually the nurse looks at both arms trying to determine which has the best vein- it's usually my left arm. She felt my right arm then went straight into my right hand (which has NEVER been a possibility for me). She diga. And digs. And digs. I express discomfort and say owe! that hurts! She rips the tourniquet off pulls the needle out and keeps saying THE SURGEON SHOULD ALREADY BE IN HERE WORKING ON YOU!!!! And mumbles other stuff under her breath. I reply "what is your attitude with me? What have I done wrong" She throws her hands up and says "ya know what I'm going to get the other nurse, cuz I just ... I just can't deal with you" She rushed out talking shit the entire way. ATTEMPTING to whisper to the nurse but failing to do so and it was clear she was talking bad about me. At that moment when I was in the room by my self ,I took the nasal cannula off,powered my phone on and was about to get up and leave. But I talked myself out of it because I had waited 6 months for this appt. Another nurse comes in along with the surgeon and we talked about the "maybe" salvageable tooth and I showed them the number of the tooth I had written down in my phone. "Nurse" Mellisa then says YOURE PHONE IS SUPPOSED TO BE OFF WE ARE ABOUT TO START SURGERY New nurse asks Mellisa if she even attempted to look for a vein on the other arm and of course she didn't. New nurse got a vein first try, but did dig. She spoke to me about everything she was doing, was about to do and what med did what. My point is- this visit was EXTREMLY rushed. I work in surgery. I know how it feels to be backed up and behind. But I was there early and was in the room no later than 8:10 or so. maybe they ovebook themselves. I don't know. But the way I was treated by Mellisa was absolutely vile. I'm sure I'm missing other stuff she said but after being sedated I couldn't remember everything she said -I actually asked nice nurse crappy nurse name right before she administered the "sleepy med" so I could get it before I left because I know once you're sedated you aren't coherent for a while.I texted my dad her name the moment I got into his truck so I woukdnt forget it. Later on in the day , a nurse prompted a follow up call. When she said she was a nurse I said Mel... she stopped me and said , no I'm not Mellisa and I'm very sorry about what happen, I'm not sure about EVERYTHING that was said because I wasn't in the room at that time but you wont have to worry about her anymore. I continued to let her know how Mellisa is a VILE, DISGUSTING, sorry excuse for a "nurse" and if she HATES her job so much she needs to find a new career based on how she treated a patient who was actually pretty happy and nice since the time I stepped foot into the location ! I cried the entire follow up call as I processed what fully happened because I was so hurt and angered by how Mellisa made me feel the entire visit. Why was she treating her patient as if she is LESS THAN, ignorant, incoherent, stupid, and a waste of her time. Does she do this to all patients? Just a few? What if I had anxiety driven by surgery, needles, dental work, or being sedated??!! What if she acts this way towards a high anxiety patient and sends them into a full blown panic attack?! Mellisa is a very disturbing "nurse" and by the 2nd time she repeated "my phone is supposed to be off" I was SURE it's so no one can record how AWFUL she talks and treats patients.

This place is amazing The girl at the front desk took away…read moreall my worries (being in a strange new place while in pain) ive been in at some horrible dentists in my day And thankfully they are on the otherside of the spectrum. the office is high tech but you feel at home. The doctor is super nice and down to earth. Im gonna take care of my teeth now! All nurses are like your mom while your there and will take care of you. Got alot of troublesome teeth takin out and i didnt feel anything. Dont hesitate with this office i hope i dont have to go back anytime soon but if i do ill know ill ok with it for sure. They do great work.

Upon entry to the office you find yourself in a tiny reception are with not a single chair. It wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't such a long wait to get checked in. The receptionist is very slow and bad at her job. The office itself is extremely uncomfortable. It's old, dark and ugly. The staff was cold, impersonal and rude. Just like the doctor. This man allowed his personal bias to prevent him from upholding his hippocratic oath. He is rude and disrespectful. I can not stress enough that oral surgery is a big deal. It is a lengthy, painful and expensive process, You want to make sure you find a good doctor you can trust to treat you with dignity and respect. Dr. Laureano is not that guy. He is an awful little man who probably should have gone into a different line of work altogether. Personally I think he would make a great fry cook at McDonald's.
