I am terrified of needles and every time before he gives me the shot, he'll say, "close your eyes," as he shakes my cheek back and forth so I really don't feel it. That's my least favorite part and he makes it 100% tolerable. His staff are all extremely nice and have been there for years. That gets a thumbs up in my book too! As you wait in the chair they give you the TV remote control and let you watch whatever you want to, which I love. One more thing to keep my mind off the fact that I'm at the dentist. He is affordable and you don't have to feel overwhelmed when you get the bill from here. I'm a fan and sure you will have a good experience with Dr. ToHill too. Oh yes, there are 2 Dr. Tohill's. They were able to schedule my first visit very quickly so that's a plus. The office was immaculate, as expected, and the Pandora station was playing a carefully curated list of songs that I would have on my own playlist. The patient chairs faced a full-wall window so instead of looking at a tired poster of some place I will never visit, I got to watch frogs paying in a small pond. Everyone in the office was professional and I was very comfortable from the start. My hygienist was super friendly, and we had some things in common so it was like catching up with an old friend. Dr. Farmer was also super friendly and said I was family now. They both explained what they were seeing and doing, and I knew I was in excellent hands. I was extremely nervous cause all my friends said it was going to hurt a lot. Well thanks to Dr.Lucy & staff I didn't have any pain. i could feel the pressure, could hear the drill, etc. but there was no pain thanks to the numbing gel & nitrous. I called in advance to confirm they took my insurance since I was a new patient. They confirmed…read morethey took my insurance but after my appointment they apologized that the dentist they had me see doesn't take my insurance. They weren't willing to switch dentist for any follow up treatment so I got hit with out of network charges. Worse part is their initial visit is X-rays and exam only with no cleaning. I switched dentist due to unhappiness with the situation and will probably run into insurance issues for second visit and X-rays.
