Everything there dentist is very impatient tells you you're not in pain when you are they take a break and come back to you. 20 minutes later like you don't matter. Could've been much better but because some of the staff were kind, I'll give a 2 star review. First, the doctor noticed an infection but refused to treat. Offered me dental implants at $67,000 (which is by far greater than the high end allowed charge in Massachusetts. Pressure to pay 60% of the cost and sign a contract pretty intense, and I didn't trust the situation, felt too pressured for my liking given the dentist refused to treat an infection. I asked for my X-rays to get another opinion of which they promised by never sent, so I was exposed to radiation again. Come to find out, I'm not even a candidate for implants at this time due to the infection that Dr. Cho refused to treat. In other words my implants would've failed and caused worse of an infection. Please don't trust these people to your care; they literally could've killed me with the infection I have and made it worse. And...note that their warranty is only 7 years and that's the lowest of all in the area. If you're going this route, look for the lifetime warranty. read more

Then, I continued to work close to my face and mouth with the stench of "female" (if you know what I mean) it was so disgusting and gross!!!! I would not go here for anything beyond routine hygiene visits. I have had great experience with the hygiene staff, but an overall terrible experience with the scheduling and doctors. In January 2023 I went in for some pain related to my wisdom teeth. The initial appointment was fine, and I scheduled my wisdom teeth extraction at another location since the doctor was not available in West Springfield at a time that fit my schedule. There was zero communication between the offices, so when I showed up in Hadley for the extraction they were unaware that I had requested general anesthesia rather than local anesthesia. This was not caught until after they had already injected, local anesthetic throughout my entire mouth, so I had to explain the miscommunication to them with practically zero control of my tongue. This should've been a red flag that ended my patronage of Aspen dental, butI brushed it off. Circling back to west Springfield, during my initial visit, they told me that I would be needing a filling in one of my molars where my wisdom teeth had rubbed a cavity, but that it couldn't happen until after my wisdom teeth extraction. They scheduled filling for a couple months out, and when I showed up, they had no idea what I was talking about and I had to reschedule the filling for a later date. At least 6 to 8 more times between June 2023, and January 2024 I was called the week before my appointments and asked to reschedule. Finally today I showed up for an appointment which was confirmed over the phone, checked in with the front staff, and waited for an hour beyond my appointment time. Finally, I went back up to the desk to ask if my appointment was still going to take place. The receptionist (the one I checked in with had already left for the day) looked at me puzzled because she had already marked me as a no-show. She goes back to the doctor to ask if she could squeeze me in and the doctor said no. So again I was told that I would have to reschedule after showing up for my appointment. I told them not to bother as I would be finding a new dentist. If you are looking for a reliable dentist, who respects your time stick to their appointments, Aspen dental is not the answer . read more

I went in for a consultation but was told I needed a deep cleaning which is fine so we set up the appointment. I decided I wanted a second opinion so I called to cancel my appointment and request a refund for my deposit, mind you this conversation took place several days before the set appointment. I keep getting told the office manager will call but they do not I keep getting passed on. The office person said they made a note on my account saying I canceled well in advance so I'm not sure what the issue is. $125 is $125 and it is my money I did not need the service and canceled in ADVANCE. Will not be coming back here ever again and will let everyone know to stay away. read more

One star for the front desk staff. Very nice. I went in with a tooth that needed to be pulled. Lots of pain. They were happy to remove it for me. Come down they said. They did a whole check up, x-rays, the works. Then told me about the $20,000.00 amount of work I needed. Please see the office manager and start paying before you leave. $1000 now. Another $1000 in the morning when I come back to get my tooth pulled - the reason I went. Can I have pain meds? I tell them I'm taking ibuprofen now with an antibiotic. Sure. My dentist, Dr. Giggles prescribes ibuprofen and the antibiotic I just told her I was already on. I said that's not working, anything else? She prescribes a steroid. I pick them up. I go back the next day. Pay the next $1000. I said I started the steroid with the ibuprofen. Dr. Giggles says "no, you can't take those together!" I said you prescribed them both together, I picked them up together. "Oh I must have done it later"-yes 10 minutes later. So we get to the pulling..Four times she needed to inject novocaine because 4 times she started to drill and I could feel it. A lot! (I felt like I was in a SAW movie).After the 3rd time, she went to the next chair to sell that customer their dental package. Finally came back and, well I told you the rest. Anywho, after drilling the tooth into smithereens and pulling all the pieces out, she said she couldn't do all the work, please go to the office manager for a refund. They owed me a refund of $579.00. It'll be a month next week. I don't have the refund yet after weekly promises. Plus I had to go back after a few days because was mouth was so swollen. I told the hygienist the story about the ibuprofen. She said they never ordered it, it's not in the computer, basically calling me a liar. I showed her the Walgreens app with the ibuprofen prescription with Dr. Giggles' name on it and thanked her for calling me a liar. Also, the stitches Dr. Giggles used to close the gaping wound in my mouth were supposed to dissolve after 7 days. They're still there, as is the gaping wound, but I'm too scared to go back. You would be too! Don't go to this dentist. I would trade to have my painful tooth back. Seriously, don't go there. read more

This place is a joke. I had a full upper set of dental implants put in, for now just the screws and abutments. Since they were put in, one of them was constantly causing me pain and was always swollen in that area. For months I told them this and for months they said it was all "normal". And what do you know...it became so severely infected that it had to be removed. Now I'm having issues with the implant next to the one taken out. Come to find out, they thought it was infected a month ago, and never said a word to me about it until today. Now this one needs to be taken out as well. Dr. Patrick is the worst, most unprofessional dentist with the worst bed side manners I have ever dealt with. He has traumatized me on multiple levels. I went for tooth extraction and the doctor quit after trying to take the tooth out for 20 mins. Another doctor had to take over and after the extraction, both doctors left the room and gave no instructions. It felt like I was volunteering for a school to practice dentistry. I developed a dry socket from not knowing how to properly care for my mouth after extractions. They only give a handout and gauze. I had dental concerns from years without insurance. I went to Aspen Dental, the examination was free, the estimate for service, over $40,000.00. I went to another dental office it find that most of the recommended procedures were not going to be worth it. Their estimate for restoring a healthy mouth a little over #$10,000.000. I cannot say they are deceptive since the procedures recommended were different. I feel as if the difference in price would have lead me to ignore all but the most pressing issue, leading me to loose more teeth and probably keep living in pain. I cannot recommend them to all but the wealthiest of individual. I also found the dentist office I now frequent, also a part of a national chain of offices such as Aspen, cleaner better equipped and staffed then Aspen Dental. read more

You have to watch billing when dealing with Aspen Dental of West Springfield. I went in for a reline and they asked me if I wanted a exam I said no twice, they did the reline and i left. They still billed my insurance company for a exam that they did perform. Because my insurance company pays for two a year they thought I would not say anything because because the money did not come out of my pocket. Two years later my wife went there to have teeth pulled in preparation for dentures. There is a small membrane that runs between your upper lip and your gums called labial frenulum she told them not to cut it, as that would have added $1000.00 to the bill. She didn't sign the paper authorizing it but they did it anyway while her mouth was numb. We got a bill for it and when we refused to pay they sent a collection agency after us. read more

After a traumatic experience at different private dental practice in Westfield I had avoided going to the dentist for 2 years. I was extremely scared to go back but knew I was long overdue on caring for my oral health. At the recommendation of a friend I went to Aspen. Everyone there, from the women in reception to the dentists to Kelly, the hygienist, have been exceptionally kind. They explain everything there are doing, thoroughly explain why future care is needed, and are all extremely kind and courteous. They were very mindful of my personal comfort during the procedures and exam and extremely thorough. I honestly never thought I'd be this happy with a dental office. If you are thinking about choosing Aspen give them a shot- you won't find better care elsewhere. read more

What can I say but if you go to 3 appointments for the same problem and they don't treat it AT ALL watch out. They did everything else but fix the problem, they will always tell you that you need a deep cleaning and try to sell you the most expensive procedures They wanted to charge me $6700.00 to fix an exposed nerve so I went to my old dentist and he fixed it for $30.00. The biggest gripe I have is this I went for a cleaning and the office manager told me she had talked to my Insurance about this procedure and that they would cover 600.00 of it and I would have to pay the balance which I did. One month later I get a bill for about 252.00 because my Insurance wouldn't cover some part of it. I don't know why the office manager would tell me she checked my insurance when she never did. At first, I was skeptical about going to this location after reading some Yelp reviews. However, I cannot be more impressed with the front office staff and the dental assistants, especially Christina. I travel for work and my schedule was very tight but I knew I had to get some much needed dental work. Once I was evaluated by the dentist, the team went to work to accommodate my schedule. So much was done on the first couple days and I cannot be more satisfied with the service so far. Dr. Patrick has hired an excellent team of professionals. From the front desk, scheduler, and dental assistants, all have been excellent. The small details matter in this type of service industry and it was shown by the front desk and dental assistants kindly communicating that they were running a little behind and apologized. I have quite a few surgeon friends who have independant private surgical practices and will definitely tell them to pattern their team after what I experienced today. Stay away from Aspen Dental unless you want to get rip off. I had a full exam and cleaning and got a upper plate made( not the cheapest one) and it broke in less than a month. Went back to have repaired, they did a bad job fixing them. They lasted a month and broke almost in half. They sd I needed $2100. Of work done on my gums . I only went to them because they had a payment plan. I went back to my regular dentist and was told they should have sd that before they made me a new plate, and that I didn't need the work done on my gums. If I could leave a NEGATIVE STAR review I completely would. Never in my life have I received such poor service without even having my appointment. I had an appt. scheduled for 5:15pm, which I confirmed via email a week ahead and received a confirmation text the morning of the appt. All of these documents I received stated that my appt was at 5:15pm. I hit traffic on the way into my appt. and call the office to let them know I will be there a little closer to 5:15pm, just to make sure that was okay. Julie from the office tells me that it is a problem because my appt. was at 5:00pm....... I let her know about the text message and email that I received confirming my appt. I went to the West Springfield Aspen office after the East Longmeadow office closed. Like others who have reviewed this practice, I left feeling like a human ATM. "Dr. Patrick" recommended $9,000 of work that my prior dentist at Aspen never suggested and my current dentist says I do not need. I did full extraction top and bottom and received New dentures ,this process was painless and went well (although it was terribly expensive ) Then the problems started . Not once but twice I got blown off on appointments for my hard reline with a different excuse each time after I waited past my apt. time and got all the way to the dental chair. Final straw was my 1 1/2 year check up . a $78 procedure (not covered by insurance) was recommended when i checked in I denied the procedure (on paper)I waited 50 minutes past my apt time for a 45 second exam by the Dr. Once in the chair the Dr did not listen to me when I specifically told her I did not want any thing done that was not covered by my dental insurance , She still insisted to put in writing a request for a procedure I denied!! This has been the worth experience I have ever had at a Dental Company. I called to make an appointment for routine cleaning and sensitivity to one tooth, apparently the person I talk to was at a call center (I don't believe I called the local number) and they failed to informed me that my first visit will be an evaluation and not an actual visit to get my teeth clean, Second I had been to the a cleaning one year before to be exact and not one cavity no gum disease what so ever, but according to the Dr. at Aspen I have no cavity and the tooth sensitivity is due to a small infection on my gum around the tooth that is hurting, how ever the Hygienist comes in to talk to me about treatment options I was told again I have a small infection and I they can give me antibiotic for it, however she also told me I have Gum disease and I need extensive treatment to go deep into my gums to clear the disease (really, I do. Yeah right) and might need a root Canal (again, really?) please. It was just a gimmick to get you to agreed on extensive treatment you don't need and charge your insurance, I was told after I got upset that my Consultation was free of charge and X-rays were free and my insurance will not be bill. We shall see when I get that first statement from my insurance, I will fight them for that bill if I get bill. I will not pay or have my insurance pay for a free consultation, not to mention that according to them I have an infection but did not offer me any antibiotic for it. They are the worth of the worth for Dental options, I rather go to a mall practice were you will be treated with dignity and respect. I do not recommend them to anyone...........ever. read more
