We had met with a half dozen other firms regarding replacement of a deteriorated, timber-lined hillside path to the lakefront. There were significant challenges due to slope, established trees, and limited site access. We also wanted the new path to be integrated and consistent with the existing landscape. At our initial meeting with Joe, we were impressed by his enthusiasm, creativity, and attention to details. We worked with him for about six months to refine the design, address permitting issues and select materials. Joe was always responsive to requests, offered constructive recommendations and enhanced the project design. Beyond replacing the path, we added a patio and seating area. The project took four weeks to complete in the fall of 2023. Joe's crew was exemplary - they were talented craftsmen - expert hardscape installers who worked hard all day and were mindful of neighbors' concerns - which were very few. The project was completed on time and on budget. We are pleased to have worked with Joe and his Landscape Architecture team and with the completed project.

Recently, we had an incredibly challenging water issue at our boat house. The property is over 100 years old, so we were told there wasn't much to do to change the drainage. Joe and his crew solved the issue after a bit of research. Not only have we solved the flooding, but the new deck is stunning.
